EvilOwl Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Did you know that extracting items from a DSU with a vanilla hopper can result in them being deleted. Put a DSU filled with items above a hopper and send them to a TE machine. When the machine is full or not pawered the items will start rapidly vanish from the DSU. No, I wont put this to the tracker becouse it's not fixable. This is Mojangs Code at fault here in the hoppers StackSize. It's fixed in MC 1.7. No, I wont report it to Skyboy becouse 1.6 is not supported any more. Quote
Entripic Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) Did you know that having two rifts will spawn endless Enderman in which you can obtain plenty of ender pearls without worrying about having to search for them? The rifts that are created do not spread far and will remain contained in a small area. This can be used to also create endless amounts of world thread as well if you place renewable block, such as cobblestone, every time they are destroyed. Edited September 7, 2014 by Entripic Quote
Twingrey Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Did you know that Golden Swords dropped by Zombie Pigmen are very useful? Their EMC value is always bigger than 2048, meaning that you can burn them in Calcinator to get Azure Dust. Infuse Wood (not planks!) with 4 pinches of Azure Dust in Aludel, then burn Infused Wood in Calcinator again to get one pinch of Minium Dust. Therefore, you need 16 Golden Swords farmed from Zombie Pigmen, 8 pieces of wood and Inert Stone to make Minium Stone almost for free! Also, did you know that many other items can be burned in Calcinator to get Azure Dust? - Tinker Alloy Gear (1 iron ingot + 3 copper ingots + 1 tin ingot) - Leadstone Energy Cell Frame (1 redstone block, 4 lead ingots, 4 glass blocks) - LY Upgrade (4 paper, 10 redstone, 1 gold nugget, 3 lapis lazuli pieces [not blocks!]) If you have Power Armor, and find broken or almost broken Iron Chestplates in dim. doors dungeons, or normal dungeons, don't throw it away! If you manage to repair it to full condition (use only another Iron Chestplate, repairing with Iron Ingots is a waste), it can also be burned to Azure Dust. Silmenume 1 Quote
EvilOwl Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Did you know that a TE Nullifier can accept liquids? Yes, you can pump out your quarry water to it. Put it directly on the BC pump - it's faster that way. Remember to set the inputs on the sides you need. Edited September 8, 2014 by bochen415 AetherPirate 1 Quote
Kotja Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Did you know that you can replicate world thread and fabric of reality in attomic assembler. Now after the usefulness of atomic assembler had been reduced those two things are only worth it. Quote
Curunir Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Did you know that you can hide an MFR Harvester away, so its activity will appear "magic" to the uninformed? I have a setup, admittedly not in Tekkit, where a Harvester picks oreberries from a dark underground room filled with oreberry bushes. I wanted to hide the actual Harvester behind a wall, which did not work. Seems like the Harvester front side may not be be obstructed by solid blocks for it to operate, but it does work if you use Microblock covers to hide it. Of course, range limits still apply, so the maximum range is a total 25x25 area with an Emerald upgrade, and the crops have to be exactly level with the machine. In case of multiblock crops (sugar cane, cactus or trees), this applies to the bottom block of the crop. Quote
