Stone problems

After updating my game I have noticed that all of the stone blocks in game are now outfitted with tiny portal and fire animations. Is there any reason why this happened?

Not a tekkit issue. It is your texture pack. It is outdated, time to update to a more recent one.

This is a new feature. When you break the block the fire will turn it back into smooth stone automatically. Built in furnace.
