Pulseeey Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Hello, Yes I know that MCPC/Cauldron is currently under the eye of DMCA, I am not asking for a download. I have cauldron-1.6.4-1.965.21.197-server.jar in my server replacing Voltz.jar and it starts loading and then when it crashes, it says every plugin has errored. I did put the Libraries required inside my libraries folder but yet still does it. I didn't use the installer since my download source just offered these jars. Is this likely to be something with that build? Every time I have used MCPC/Cauldron, it has worked flawlessly until now but it's not exactly the best time. Any other alternatives for 1.6.4? That are known for loading bukkit plugins well? Thanks
Kalbintion Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) For clarification purposes: DMCA is not an organization or entity. It is a law. There are organizations and entities out there that are responsible for enforcing the DMCA. Edit: Linked DMCA to the wikipedia article on it - for those who do not know what it is in its entirety or do not know what DMCA means (also, they typo'ed DMCA in their news reports as DCMA...silly cauldron devs) Edited September 7, 2014 by Kalbintion Pulseeey 1
Pulseeey Posted September 7, 2014 Author Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) Who are saying that to? I am aware what DMCA is, I help run a web hosting company. I have dealt with DMCA notices before. They are much easier to deal with in terms of website content though. My saying of them watching like an eagle was purely a figure of speech due to the nature of the situation Cauldron is in. Kalbintion Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Your wording of it made "DMCA" look like an organization that is the one doing the watching rather than cauldron being scrutinized because of the DMCA.

That may be, but I am fully aware of what DMCA is. However the thread isn't regarding what DMCA is, so I'd appreciate it if we stuck to the topic at hand. Thanks Edited September 7, 2014 by Pulseeey
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted September 7, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted September 7, 2014 Which version of Voltz are you working with?

Thanks I'm aware of this topic isn't intentionally to be about the DMCA, however with it being brought up, it inadvertently became about the DMCA for clarification purposes and this discussion about it.

Pulseeey Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) I think I know why. In the libaries zip it contains a replacement for the minecraft_server jar which is corrupt. Since Cauldron is halting the project... Looks like I'm not using Bukkit plugins which stinks.... Edited September 8, 2014 by Pulseeey
Pulseeey Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Which version of Voltz are you working with? I am using the Voltz 3.1.2 as a base, but removed and adding some mods. I believe Cauldron was really only to be installed from the installer provided since it installs Libraries? I have a zip of libraries but the minecraft_server.1.6.4 inside it is corrupted which kinda sucks. I have found several other versions though, going to try those. UPDATE: found a MCPC+ build for 1.6.4. Worked a treat. Thank god. Edited September 8, 2014 by Pulseeey
