Land Protection for Tekkit Server 1.2.9e

Hello all, I am very new to the Minecraft Community.

 

Issue:  Need a simple land protection solution for a novice server user.

 

I am using McMyAdmin with success in running Tekkit 1.2.9e, but finding it hard to find any way to get the multiple plugins/Mods to work.  Also I have noticed some legal issues that are preventing me from getting any required code to assist in make these plugin work.

 

Does anyone know of a solution that would provide land protection for users on a Tekkit 1.2.9 server?

I think Towny or MyTown.. not sure if they are outdated though. I never ran a server so I would not know how to configure it.

ingame you can protect your stuff using strongboxes and later you can even protect the environment using mffs

(thats for the already builtin mechanics in tekkit)

WorldGuard is your friend. Needs some setting up and reading of the manual, but is straightforward enough. Caution: Doesnt protect against every single possible thing, just most things (its hard to protect against mods in which you never anticipate)

Dont I need Bukkit or cauldron?  Not sure how to get it...  If someone could help.

Cauldron was DMCA'ed. If you can find it thats what you want
