distactedOne Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 This is the setup I tried, just kind of tacking the thing on to what the other players built before, but it doesn't transfer power to the batbox. Am I missing something super obvious? (yes it's daytime, yes it has sky access) Quote
ErusPrime Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 That's a transformer and not a batbox. you can tell because of the 3 dots. also, try to run your cabling with as few intersections as possible. also part 2: electric boogaloo your transformer is hooked up backwards. Quote
distactedOne Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 I don't have a transformer; the three-dot thing is actually the solar array. The batbox is... barely in the picture at all, I just realized, but directly below the solar array. (Blocked by my GUI. I'll get a better pic.) Quote
DemonCrusher36 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 As long as it is a batbox, its backwards. Those copper cables arnt going to go on for long by the way. Quote
distactedOne Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 ^^ The things powered by the batbox. (Just a macerator and an extractor, I think.) The setup works without the solar array, I'm just trying to add that in for free lazy power. also here is that better picture ^ I don't know what that means. Quote
Jay? Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 ^^ The things powered by the batbox. (Just a macerator and an extractor, I think.) That's your problem. You're wiring your solar panel directly into your machines. Make sure to separate the cables headed to the batbox from the cables coming FROM the batbox. Also, the batbox only has one output side. it's the one with a dot on it. Quote
distactedOne Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Oh, I'm trying to put it in through the output. derp Quote
Revelator Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Is that MV cables ? or am I just seeing wrong Quote
distactedOne Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Insulated copper wire. Now that it's going in through the input, it all seems to be working fine. Quote
