Just get a download link to the mod pack that you use and give it (The link) to them. They can then use the "custom zip" feature to easily install them.

Just copy tekit lite as it is the most updated, take all of the other mods out, add the ones you want (Zepplin is incompatible with tekkit IIRC), rename it, and add it as a custom zip. P.S. I have no idea if that would work, but that is what I would try.

I don't think so, but you could probably add the shelf mod(?) Not sure if that is the name, it gives displays for your items.

heh, that happens to me too. But this has probably been discussed before, try finding a thread or bug report like it. If you can't, just post a bug report and hope it actually IS a bug, and not intentional.

Make a massive complex that is quadruple layered reinforced stone, with an enormous stockpile of resources in personal safe's. That way when "something" happens to your base, you will have a backup plan and not have to start from scratch. After that, fill in the are around it, and make a forcefield that is camouflaged to look like stone so that your lair will be hidden from prying eyes. PS. I don't care if you are playing solo, this is a great way to spend the rest of your mortal life working (on something worthless).

^ This, And the stuff it does add to the end, although interesting, isn't really worth it even if it didn't exponentially increase the tedium of using IC2 imho. I would rather invest my time in another mod/tech tree than go that much further on IC2, which is already pretty large.

Ok, first off, sorry if there is a better subforum for this, and if there is, please point me towards it. I have a server for me and my friends running on my computer (Vista Home Premium 64 bit), and was wondering if I could make it run faster. Before, I was running it with 2GB of RAM, because I only have 4GB of RAM on my computer. I decided to use readyboost on a flashdrive that has 16GB, and allocated all of the space as RAM. The problem is, I thought that vista could only use 4GB of RAM, ever. If I run the server on 4GB, and my Tekkit on 2GB, will that work or will my computer crash and/or catch fire?

I have recently come to a realisation about my reasons for being here. I only come here to laugh at the uh, less "mentally gifted" among us, and don't actually help people with stuff anymore as I used to. Not necessarily here, I never really help anyone on the internet with anything anymore. Not that I come here to be mean or anything like that, I just like to stand on the sidelines and laugh as one "I don't have time for rules!" noob after another gets flamed and banned for, well, not reading the rules. My point in writing this is to ask how many others come here more for laughs and mockery, rather than to actually help people with their (legitimate) problems.

Not overall game strategy for everything, just what you do until you get a base with a steady supply of power. Do you use different setups each game, or do they stay the same each time? What is your current one? What is your favorite one? What are the Pros and Cons of your strategy(s), or someone else's? Mine is just collect several forests worth of wood and using that in generators until I have enough solar panels or a nuclear reactor. The problem with this is that it takes a lot of time and effort, but you don't have to worry about supply, as wood... well, it grows on trees.

That is a good idea, and I would do that, except I have no idea how to program turtles! This is what I shall do, in addition to spreading rumors about its mother. That will show it to fall on MY iron! This does not mean I don't need more suggestions, for one can never be too cruel to one's enemies.
