  1. well you havent told us what you have been doing so its a bit hard to give a useful response but one i suppose is settign up an AE system, and manually work a quarry, (no machines, just you and your pickaxe ) go pigman hunting in the nether, im pretty sure you can have quite a bit of fun with this, ive spent hours mindlessly killen em, never seems to get old Go Exploring the landscape, see what Shots you can take find a nice place to build and let your mind go absolutely nuts, become part of the level designers crew parhaps? Build a Roller Coaster Build a huge train line Try and keep a village alive or blow it up tnt creations are pretty popular too Be a Farmer Build a Big Boat and pretend to be a pirate Build a medieval Castle, pretend to be a King all this stuff can be done in survival, its the collecting of what you need to build with is what will keep you busiest but seriously Bezz whatever comes to mind, this game is all about imagination, just let it fly and time will slip by (see what i did there? hehe)
  2. i suggest making a superflat using the overworld preset, thats what me and a friend have done and we are finding everything, but youll need to add in trees... believe me it saves alot of that screwing around edit: sorry to necromance this but it seems that the problem wasnt 100% solved
  3. your gonna love this, i got some very good news in order to use multiple ME interfaces for the same action you need to build another MAC for each set of machines, so if you want say 10 sets of machines going off at once you will need 10 small Macs, making them bigger is a waste of time unless you plan on bulk building HV solar arrays or something what you do is and i just tested this, make sure that each MAC is connected Directly by cable, if theres a MAC in front of it it wont work, even if you have to put cable around your first mac to connect to the next what wont work: ME controller>cable>Mac>Cable>Mac what will work: ME controller>cable>Mac /cable>Mac have that going and what will happen is, the machines will share the work, i just set up two Macs in my test and asked for 128 tin ingots be process from their ores, i had 2 induction furnaces set up and both took 64 at the same time make sure that the Macs arent touching any other macs or machines or the mac wont work, youll see why :-) from my tests. each mac can only handle one action at any given time. Having multiple macs effectively spreads the work that one mac cant do by itself. Bulk processing of ores is one of those.
  4. optional :-)if you don't want to you don't have to but I noticed quite a few posts asking how to re enable them. hence this topic :-)
  5. are there any new crash report txt files in crashreports in tekkitlite folder?
  6. :D Thank you Richs_Yard :D
  7. ok, go into %appdata% and delete the .technic folder this will force the launcher to re download and will rule out download corruption by the looks of it it hasn't downloaded properly, i would also recommend re downloading the launcher prior to deleting .technic folder
  8. just to verify, your OS is an x64 install? franny426 PM me your crash report along with your specs
  9. The following guide should work for XP and win7 In [rootdrive]:Users[ursername]AppDataRoaming.technictekkitliteconfigIC2 Config find these lines: I:blockOreCopper=248 I:blockOreTin=249 Think of a number between 500 and 2000 -now check ingame using NEI to see if the ID you thought of is being used -if nothing comes up, pt that number for Copper id now add 1 to that number and write it for tin for your convenience i used these, and it fixed it for me edit: forgot to put these in, sorry guys lol I:blockOreCopper=555 I:blockOreTin=556 now find the following lines and change them to true # Enable generation of copper in the world B:enableWorldGenOreCopper=false # Enable generation of tin in the world B:enableWorldGenOreTin=false now start tekkit lite and create a new world, if you have an existing world you will need to venture far from any chunk you have already explored to benefit from the old tin and copper generation
  10. some awesome suggestions, i like the one that you posted Gio2, give my regards to the owner of those pics Lo7 i will keep in mind the Emerald Upgrades (had no idea such upgrades exited) thanks again guys :D
  11. sweet glad it works for you now :)
  12. legoset i suggest making a new topic in bug reports go into your tekkitlite folder and make sure you include the contents of ForgeModLoader.txt file and most recent crash report file from crashreports folder Like everyone else, i cant help you unless i have that info, but your better off with starting a new topic, go here: http://forums.technicpack.net/forms/tekkit-lite-bug-report.6/respond
  13. only way i can think of doing this is using a harvester on a rubber tree and a planter for the sapling, is there a way to harvest automatically just from the resin holes?
  14. since the update i cant find anything in the lower levels except vanilla blocks and nikolite (redstone, lapis, iron, gold and diamonds =D) but if i go in between say level 20 and level 47 thats where i find all the other ores, occasionally i find tungsten in the lower levels but thats about it before the update i could get everything from strip mining the bottom layer, was this an intended code update or is there a way to change it that i cant find in the config files? or maybe im looking in the wrong ones but theres nothing about spawn heights in either IC2.cfg or redpower.cfg or maybe i just need to poke around the code for a bit...
  15. what machines are you using, they may be receiving too much power, try to downgrade the power input with transformers
  16. the errors in the report seem to point at display drivers.. i might be able to point you to the most up to date version of your driver but i am missing a vital piece of information which isn't included in the report (don't worry it never is) are you using a laptop or a tower PC?
  17. a regular or electric smelter cannot keep up with the high demand of an ME network, you need something more high power, like a set of Powered Furnaces and induction furnaces sorry if you already know this but i cant see what your using for smelting from this screenshot, though i did notice the huge setup of pulverizers(edit: wait.. what are those, electric or their upgraded counterpart??) The only problem with ME networks is that they can only do things one task at a time when it comes to on-demand, (ok, smelt this then craft that) you may be able to boost this operation using a Molecular Assembler Chamber filled with Crafting CPUs, i would reccommend building a MAC which uses a 5x5x5 set of crafting cpus which brings the space construction requirement to 9x9x9 minimum for your setup, if you can make it bigger than do so otherwise if you just have export buses set to for everything it will quite happily fill all your machines and continue to do so until it runs out of resources to process while this is expensive quartz wise, since you have 12 quarries running, quartz and quartz dust isnt an issue(i hope you didnt see these items as junk and uhh....recycled em!!) by the time your 12 quarries are finished youd have enough quartz and quartz dust to make a huge MAC, im guessing you already know about the encoded patterns in the interface? edit: also keep in mind that the ME interface will only work from the top of something and you cannot use multiple ME interfaces for one furnace for example, also if the ME furnace is touching something on the side as well as on the top it can become...confused and hung up) i have tested this with one ME interface on a side of a powered furnace and it didnt work
  18. ok -make sure that technic launcher is off -go to my computer -in the address bar type in %appdata% and press enter -go into .technic folder -go into tekkitlite folder -go into texturepacks folder and move all of your texture packs somewhere -go back one then into your mods folder, if you have a rei_minimap and lots of checkpoints, move that somewhere, now clear everything out of mods folder -go back one to tekkitlite and go into bin, delete everything out of this folder -launch technic launcher and try to launch -you may recieve an error: error retrieving information for tekkit lite, ignore this error -try to launch it again and you should be fine, now all you have to do is move your rei_minimap folder back into mods folder and reinstall your texture zips and restart the game edit: do not move your texture packs back until you have successfully started the game, texture packs have a weird tendency of causing headaches in this scenario edit2: someone sticky this, this problem is becoming more frequent!!
  19. rich slag is the only real useful one. regular slag is good for no more than making wool
  20. its fixed for tekkit space (I have tested this rigorously but was unable to get the bug to show up). but tekkit space is 1.5.2 whereas lite is 1.4.7. unless someone knows how to backport the new version. we are stuck with the bug in lite. only other way around this is to make your own modpack that uses the updated version along with all the other mods you like. im not even sure that ic2 is for 1.5.2 yet...
  21. I think I know why I cant get it to work. like the standard crafting table, the encoder doesnt actually have an inventory. tthanks for the answer though :-) neither does anything else. thats why the export bus uses a piston in the recipe to push it in. and the import bus uses a sticky piston in the recipe to pull it out
  22. wrong section, please use this form for your report, you will recieve alot more replies than in this section http://forums.technicpack.net/forms/tekkit-lite-bug-report.6/respond
  23. i already have a recipe in the system for the blank pattern, what i am trying to do is when there's no blank pattern to be written present in the encoder i want it to automatically export the new blank pattern into the encoder, is there any way of doing this? Ive tried with the ME interface and export buses configured to activate once per redstone pulse, am i doing it wrong? edit: i already have some pre-made empty patterns ready in my network
