  1. hi guys, trying to power a pulverizer from a distance, all the engines are connected to conductive wooden pipes but all they are doing is warming up, any ideas?
  2. not sure where to post this but i was wondering if anyone would be able to help ive read that the deployer can use a weapon as a defensive mechanism (pressure plate), this does not work, the animation that shows that the deployer was activated but nothing happens i had a zombie fenced in directly in front of it in a 1x1 square with a lever on the back and nothing was happening at all no damage, i chucked a ruby sword in the deployer and was spamming the lever, also tried an iron sword anyone have any idea why this is happening?
  3. valid inventory such as a chest. and no the cart wont stop on yhe rail. soon as it passes over the rail it empties into the inventory that is next to the rail. if it stores items. it can be used. :-) only thing that wont work is a personal safe as it doesn't have any inputs. it doesn't accept items from pipes. etc.
  4. nope it works as soon as the cart passes over provided that there is a valid inventory next to the cargo rail
  5. what are your system specifications? ram, os, java version if known, graphics card, a dxdiag report might be of use also. look up how to do a dxdiag on your system and post the report please :-)

  7. thw new anchors are part of the update for tekkitlite. so unless its a custom server. no
  8. zone protection prevents breaking blocks, so in the case of an underground miner he will get "you do not have permission to modify this area" or something like that, however you are right, the quarry can be used as a griefer tool how i know about zone protection? me and a friend had it setup on his old server, it was set up so well we couldn't even enter each others areas i dont know what the plugin was called but it was a spoutcraft server so it was a bukkit plugin, you might be able to find a mod that does the same thing but aimed more at a config file (again im not sure dont quote me lol) edit: since you have bukkit support just use iZone plugin
  9. if you have a couple of Rift doors with a minimum of 5 spaces between them with cart detectors in front of each door, by going through the rift you can boost your minecart along your rail (standard) up to 300m, tested and confirmed by me, provided there aren't many hills to climb How this works, when you exit a rift, you are moving at near hyperspeed until you touch the ground, i know many a time i had 1x space then dirt, and often bounce off the dirt since your coming on to rail your cart will continue to move at near hyperspeed until its momentum reaches normal, of course coding says that the cart moves at almost the same speed regardless but coming through the rift gives you more momentum this opens up many more design doors (as it were, lol) for fantasy roller coaster rides for example NOTE: this boost only works with carts with players, empty carts will follow the same principle as a regular speed rail boost anyone know the wiki for the minecart so i can add the info?
  10. I would suggest using zone protection in those areas. that way the player who is using the quarry wont even be able to place land marks for the quarry
  11. update your graphics card driver. cards tend to get picky. why it suddenly becomes out of date to the point of unusable is a mystery. see how you go
  12. Use m c edit you may need to export the world from mc edit to repair it. I hear that you might also find some corrupted squares in mce it and it allows you to remove them
  13. What anti virus are you using you may need to disable it

Ive come across something rather interesting that i need verifying OK here's what i've done i've got a main power grid type thing happening, basically a heap of wires going to an LV transformer, to 2 batboxes daisy chained here's what i found, while the chain is: LV transformer> batbox1> batbox2> grid while batbox2 is connected to the grid via glass fibre cable batbox 1 is outputting power fine through batbox2 however batbox2 isnt charging if i swap the glass fibre cable with an insulated copper cable which outputs from batbox2, batbox2 starts charging, nothing is using the power by the way anyone know why this is happening? edit: panel is a 13eu/t
  17. here you go here's a Top Down view edit: Don't Mind the size of the larger MAC, i was testing the theory that a bigger chamber can do multiple tasks, that theory is false, your better with sticking with the smaller sized ones like the one at the bottom
  18. I believe that the minimum number is 9 considering it takes 4 jungle saplings to grow the jungle tree. trees can grow anywhere where there is dirt. There is no limit to biomes. As for the big rubber trees. smallest ive seen had a 3x3 base so im tipping that's how many saplings you need
  19. scratch that I did a quarry test. using diamond pipes to route only quartz and quartz dust to a chest. and the rest in to a pit of lava. no quartz was in the chest at the end of the quarry test.
  20. can someone please confirm this? I cant find any documentation that says that quartz spawns specifically on default or large biomes
  21. sometimes quarries bug, when they do you need to move it, break the entire frame, place the markers again and place the quarry and start it
  22. ok heres the scenario, i am playing online with a few friends, each of us has a specific job, im the Miner and resource manager here's my problem, after playing extensively with AE on singleplayer i had recommended to my friends that they let me build a network for each of them, they both liked the idea after i had told them about the massive storage benefit problem is, i cant find quartz anywhere, ive strip mined a fair bit in between 65 and 10, most of its been in levels 40, 20, 10 and in between, ive found everythign that you can find in tekkit lite and vanilla, i've found: copper, tin, silver, iron, gold, diamonds (not many but found some ), lead.. redstone, coal, nikolite and all the gems.... but.... No quartz, ive managed to mine up over 300 of each ore and not a single quartz, anyone know the best level on a superflat world to find it? in a reg singleplayer world id find quartz on any level, or is it just a case of blind luck for superflat? im pretty sure that being superflat wouldn't remove quartz generation... since everything else has been generated all help would be appreciated Thanks in advance :D
  23. first time ive ever heard of pipes exploding due to too much items. I have managed to explode a pipe with MJs. but that's the only time. those item tesseracts must be good. ill give them a go
