  1. Male slave you say? Oh, mail. Sorry, I misheard you. Some of the feminized words are ridiculous, and really smack of the straw feminist. I do wonder why any serious person would obsess over postwoman/postman when there are real issues to address. I lurked around here before registering. It seemed relatively safe. Forums are safer than games in any case. It doesn't matter what my screen name is in my games. As soon as I use a mic, my cover is blown.
  2. As far as sexism goes, this thread has it, but it's fairly tame. This level is less offensive and more just tiresome. But people who think being told you don't exist isn't offensive should try it for a while. As for remaining gender anonymous on the internet, I do it because I never know what kind of reaction I'm going to get. Sometimes it's acceptance, sometimes it's the lame jokes, and sometimes it's being told to get off the net and back into the kitchen, or degenerating down to threats of violence. Yeah, that crap is pretty old as well.
  3. If the OP is trying to completely avoid the nether, the collectors don't work out. You need glowstone to make them. The IC2 recipe should work though. Another possibility, do any of the IC2 crops or Forestry bees produce glowstone dust? Obviously the Forestry bees only apply if Technic 6 is being used, since Forestry isn't in later versions.
  4. If you are behind a router, you will probably need to forward the default port to the computer hosting the server. If so, you can find some helpful info on how to do that at portforward.com.

Aww.. I was hoping someone had managed to get technic-like elements onto the iOS Minecraft. I'm expecting it someday, but this early would have amazed me.
  6. Why not.. Pixel, and I obsess about modding. In the last month, I've spent more time trying to combine the perfect collection of mods than I have playing Minecraft, or hanging out with friends, etc. Not yet an addiction that is damaging my life, but I may need to watch it.
  7. Perhaps try this: Instead of using BC pipes, put a large chest next to the quarry. I believe the quarry will automatically put items into the chest. if you have EE, make it an energy condenser and you're pretty much done. If you want a tech solution, use redpower tubes and a transposer to pull items from the chest. Redpower tubes don't dump stuff all over the ground. Or use both. An Energy Condenser will transmute just about everything but ores. Your transposer can pull out and sort the ores.
  8. Where do you want to control them from? You could divvy up your 20 engines among specific teleport pipes. Say, four engines per teleport pipe. Keep them separate from each other so you have five smaller systems instead of one large system. Then you can wire on / off switches for each bank of engines. That's the best I can think of for controlling your remote systems.
  9. Short answer: Not until it's ported to Bukkit Last time I looked, Mo Creatures had a buggy SMP, but not Bukkit support. You'll need to wait for / request someone to port it to Bukkit before it will work with Tekkit. Even then you'll probably have to wait until the next Tekkit release, unless someone is willing to also port it to the older Minecraft / Bukkit versions that tekkit is using. If you're not afraid of some effort, you could instead manually mod a vanilla 1.2.5 server with pretty much all of the Tekkit mods. You could even add in others, like Mystcraft, if you like. You also have to mod your own client. Not exactly easy, but satisfying, and you get your server exactly how you want it.
  10. It's because of all the magic they had to use to make Minecraft work in an Xbox. Everyone knows light slows down almost to syrupiness in the presence of a strong magic field.
  11. Not knowing what your plugins are, I suggest deleting it all and starting with a fresh copy of the tekkit server. Verify explosions work before adding any additional plugins and again between plugins. If explosions break again, you'll know the most recent plugin did it.
  12. Is the wooden pipe the only piece of pipe between the two blocks? If so, try adding a piece of cobblestone or other pipe so the pipe length is 2 or longer. This gives the wooden pipe only one valid configuration instead of two.
  13. I wonder how much this will affect system requirements. I'm not sure how much load the logic in question is responsible for. Will we need beefier servers with the chance of lighter weight clients, or will it not really change that much? I suppose it really depends on how they go about implementing it.
