  2. We have resolved all lag issues now, so the server is up and running smoothly, come along and join in the fun.

Thought I would update this thread, I have resolved this issue, it was none of the problems above, it turned out that a player had gone out 20,000 blocks on the Nether world and had been using lots of antimatter missiles and they were still going off, I installed world border and reduced the size of the world significantly and trimmed off the excess, and tadaaa! no more lag so were back open for business now.
  4. OK I am officially saying I am truly stumped on this one, and in need of some real advice. I am having problems with TPS rates, if I join my server TPS report at 20.0 which is good, but in a short space of time I can watch this figure drop and drop until its at around 3.0 TPS. This is the strange part, if i travel to the nether the TPS in the overworld creeps back up again until its back at 20.0 This is the same for any player of the server, I have tried the following: - Removed the plugins - definitely not a plugin problem - Cleared the world anchors - Turned world anchors off - Went to the nether and back… and still see the TPS slowly return to normal but drop again when I return to the overworld. - Renamed the forcedchunks.dat thinking it was a chunk loading thing -rw-rw---- 1 mc2 mc2 22 Jun 14 01:16 forcedchunks.dat -rwxrwx--- 1 mc2 mc2 8059 Jun 14 00:04 forcedchunks.dat.old This is the recent crashreport, i visited 211.50, 12.00, -1256.50 which was in the error. I've been trying to find a way around this problem for about 2 months now, with no joy whatsoever, So yes I believe that until the Voltz pack is updated and we can use newer versions of Bukkitforge, I think we are stuck with this, the way I got around some problems though was creating kits that users could use, the problem of not being able to craft obsidian armor or battery boxes I put them into a kit and that solved those issues. Failing that stand next to the person and throw the items to them or do invsee and put it in their inventory. (invsee only works if you are close to the person whose inventory you want to see)
  6. Voltz ores are now present in the ground below sea level, the game was proving too difficult for players, there are kits available to enable players to get a battery box and obsidian items. See you all there.

I have the following signs set up in essentials like so: enabledSigns: - color - balance - buy - sell - trade #- free - disposal - warp #- kit #- mail #- enchant #- gamemode #- heal #- info #- spawnmob #- repair - time - weather As normal remove the hash tag to enable the signs you want players to use. Then make sure that each permission group you want to be able to access the sign has the appropriate essentials permission node like this essentials.signs.use.<signname>

The story so far……. The world as we knew it was slowly being destroyed by warring factions, each blindly fighting for supremacy, hoping one day to win the war. The year is 2513. The five ancient factions, MageCraft Stormrage, Legion of the Sacred Forge, Crusaders of the Redstone Guardians, Frostwolf Twilight Vanguard & Alpha Nova fought for years, Faction verses Faction, Family against Family, Human killing Human, the planets cities and towns wrecked, lay waste, desert stretching far out across the land, rivers and oceans evaporated by nuclear blasts, when and how will it end? One fateful day, a scientific team from one of the factions was exploring uncharted mountain ranges, in the on going searches for raw materials, the materials needed to build more weapons. The team searching for the ore’s found it, It was always considered a myth, a legend but no they had stumbled across the Sanctum Ark, the fabled home of the ancients, said to have fallen from the skies millennia ago, it is said that they are our true ancestors, before the scientific team, towering above the landscape stood the huge cube like structure that contained the Sanctum Arc, constructed from impenetrable alien materials, this could be the answer to the Factions survival. The faction had found two huge doors in the structure, and teams of explorers were sent to investigate the belly of the huge cube, deep inside the cavernous interior the teams soon discovered the home of the ancients, an entire underground city, abandoned by its original occupants, but still with fresh running water, vegetation growing, some animal life, food and safety. It was soon agreed within the faction that they would evacuate the land and enter the Citadel Arc, seal the doors, and hopefully survive the war that raged on outside, it was planned to remain in the Arc until it was safe to return to the surface Many years passed, the factions people living underground within the Citadel Arc, safe and with food & water, many considered themselves lucky to be alive, to have escaped the hell on earth outside, but others began to slowly feel restless, they started to desire the touch of the sun on their skins, to feel a breeze in the air, they wanted to go home, others within the group felt they should stay, safe in the Sanctum Arc. fractures began to appear in society, groups of people congregated in Guilds, each with a different opinion on the future of their lives within the Sanctum Arc. It is at this point it started again, mankind had made mistakes in the past, mistakes that had cost them dearly, and despite being given a second chance within the Sanctum Arc, they had failed to learn from these lessons. Factions Formed once again, unrest among the arc occupants began to seep from the shadows into the light, there was talk of groups attempting to escape the Arc, to head out into the barren lands again, to reclaim their lost lands, civil unrest and inter-faction fighting started, low level at first but quickly things became worse, one of the stronger factions managed burst out of the safety of the Sanctum Arc, rushing out into the world, in the hope to recover the world they once new, regain the lands they had lost, obtain the power to rule once again. The world outside of the Sanctum Arc they found though was a strange land, new insects had mutated into giant killing spiders, the people left on the surface had mutated and survived to walk the land as the living dead – Zombies. strange creatures had formed, human DNA splicing with explosive materials left around after the war, hissing, explosive creatures intent on destroying anyone who comes too close. and then skeletons of those left behind, alive and walking the desolate landscape, as ghostly skeletal warriors. But out into the world they go, Claiming any uncontaminated areas they can, growing faction numbers, and this is where you find yourself, stood in the centre of the Sanctum Arc, readying to move into the new world outside, trying to survive, and hopefully choosing the right faction to join, but know this traveler, the land outside is indeed barren, all valuable ore has been mined completely from the ground, it can only be found now within hidden bunkers in the ground, or purchased from some of the shops found within the Citadel Arc, so ready yourself, be prepared to survive the hostile world outside….. You are now in the world of Win Family VOLTZ.
  10. Aw this is a total nightmare, ive just spent 2 months developing a server and website for this, and now its put on hold, just when everyone is screaming out for an update on it. Its a shame, real shame, and really annoys me, we had put so much hard work into the server and website.
  11. I too am unable to use /give and /invsee If I issue the /give command it reports that it has given the items yet they never appear in the recipients inventory, If I issue /invsee command I just get nothing. and console dosnt report any errors
  12. Hmm was wondering if this will work with Voltz? if it would where would I find all the Voltz item id's and meta data?
  13. I was wondering if it is possible to import all the voltz item and meta data into Essentials items csv file, if so where would i find a list of all the item id's and metadata included in Voltz mod pack
  14. Hi I was wondering if anyone knew of a good Anti-Cheat plugin that works with voltz server. I have tried No Cheat Plus and Anti Cheat but both don't like Voltz very much and they just kick everyone accusing them of cheating or flying!!! Ive looked into the log files for them and it looks as though it is an issue with speed of a player, and despite changing the speed it still kicks players or freezes players. I really need some sort of anti cheat protection on my server. I am using BukkitForge-1.4.7-257.jar and the last recomended build of Voltz. Thank you.
  15. Hi everyone just to let you know I have resolved this issue, another plugin (ChestRestock) was breaking the protection on the chests, I have removed the auto restocking of chests in the spawn shop. Thanks anyway

Try this, first remove all the flags from the region If you are editing regions.yml directly, the values are: MEMBERS, NON_MEMBERS, OWNERS, NON_OWNERS, or ALL. remember to give each group the permission "group.<groupname>" if group-owners and group-members are not working. I.e. The group "citizen" gets the permission group.citizen, and can be added as owner/member of regions as g:citizen. then in game use: /rg flag <region_ID> entry deny /rg flag <region_ID> entry -g nonmembers this will Deny entry to anyone who is not a member (or owner). /rg flag <region_ID> exit deny /rg flag <region_ID> exit -g nonowners this will Deny exit to anyone who is not an owner. /rg addmember <region_ID> g:Builder /rg addowner <region_ID> g:VIP this is how you add members and owners.

Hello everyone, I am on the verge of releasing my Voltz Server into the world, and have been stress testing the server for the first time today, and I have stumbled upon a problem with ChestShop, whilst I can get it to work and people can buy from the shop, they can also just open chests and take items. I have gone through the permissions and config for chest shop and cant see why this is happening, I have even set a region with no chest access allowed but this doesn't help. Can anyone using chest shop tell me if they have had this problem and if they did how did they get around it? this is the only thing stopping me from launching the server fully. Ellis

  21. I have literally tried everything I can think of, and have even had my hosts look into it and they cant solve it either. But I have a work around running now and its working 100%, part of my server is a huge structure that reaches the max build height, I simply created a spawn lobby inside the top of this, a largish open air spawn lobby with all the server information in there, with a simple warp sign to the area I want new players to start the game. Now once they have used the warp sign if they use /spawn it takes them back to the lobby with all the info and options to donate etc. to get to the game start area they simply use /warp spawn. its working 100% I hope this suggestion helps you out. Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately neither worked, it appears that you can never spawn at the exact spawn point set you are always off set by a few blocks or so, and if your spawn point is inside a building or underground it just wont play ball and will leave you on the surface on on a roof! looks like I'm going to have to build an open air area big enough to allow the off set as a holding area then set a warp to the main spawn If anyone can find a way around this I would appreciate it.   23. Hi everyone, I am currently in the process of building a Voltz server, and I am having some problems with setting spawn points. My spawn point is situated inside a huge cube with a cave inside of it, if I (or any player) use the command /spawn, I travel to the correct spawn point, however if a new player joins or a player dies they spawn on top of the huge cube and not inside it. I am using build 218 of Technic Launcher Bukkit Forge 1.4.7-257 Essentials 2.10.1 (including Essentials spawn 2.10.1) In the essentials spawn.yml file the co-ordinates of the spawn point are set correct as per below. spawns: default: world: overworld x: -30.440090815492166 y: 140.0 z: 222.545699641807 yaw: -90.749985 pitch: 20.250004 Is there spawn locations recorded anywhere else that may be affecting this, in the essentials config file I have set that Essentials Spawn handles all re-spawning so this is really starting to annoy me now! can anyone help?   25. My Minecraft account has been Migrated to a Mojang account and I log in to my user using my email address instead of my username. The new version of the launcher will not allow me to Login with my email address instead of my player name, as it says its a mismatch between user name and password. If i log into the launcher with my username it will let me log in and start Minecraft, but when I try to access a server it wont let me join because of incorrect log in details, Help I cant play anything.
