Her error is trying to do something she sucks at, and as she says herself "Im am not trying to improve at all" I tried art in 7'th grade. I sucked balls. I then moved on to teaching myself computer programming in C++ and basically be able to do most hardware things with a computer, and many software things. That I excel at. So the lesson of the day. Connects client to irc, and by effect forums. Adds some client side mods for aesthetics. Graphical changes in the modpack. Me and mercalyn are working on the graphics right now. If its not getting a platform response then its on their side.Also I wouldn't count on downloading the modpack. There is a client side update that is coming out very soon. (the server will remain the same) Im personally doing this update and am working on it as we speak. Me and mercalyn are packing in new features, and I believe greenwolf is coding some stuff for us possibly.

Is it possible to set a modpack up so that the first time you log in to the client it displays a message? This way important information may be conveyed to first time users.

Is there any other way? It doesnt necessary have to be a vanilla forge feature

We are hooking forgeirc into our modpack, and we were wondering if it is possible to use the minecraft user's account name for the nick.

I have a configuration file for a mod in my modpack. It needs the user to enter their minecraft username post-install. How can I do this? it looks like this: username= Is it possible to enter something that will turn into the minecraft ign for every person? maybe like username=[playername] ? Thanks

UPDATE: The forums team has implemented our very own irc channel. head over to our forums to check it out. (note you must have a registered account in order to view our irc.) It is on the main page only, however the team is working on getting our modpack hooked up to the irc. People on the forums can talk to people on the server, etc.... UPDATE: Putting finishing touches onto the irc update for the modpack. Should be out tomorrow

Cheapshots fart caused massive damage to the thread. The OP was killed with shame and he figured it out. He is scarred to this day by the intensity and brightness of this fart. I think this was fun, but the powerful science of farting should not have been used. We could have just slandered the OP without the use of mass farts of destruction.
