  1. Well a crash like this will probably require a posting of the crash log that is generated being that you did manage to get in once, but now it seems to be a connecting to the server issue.
  2. Glad it worked. Bad Login is not an issue related to the java as far as I am aware. Bad Login generally has to do with your username and the server. Sometimes there is a disconnect on the authentication side of things. I get it also sometimes. Sometimes I will restart my computer or my router and it will fix itself. However I more than often found that changing your server (if you are a server owner) to offline mode causes this not to occur. However doing that opens your server to illegitimate minecraft clients and it is generally recommended to not do so.
  3. Same setup...although i made my room a tad to small and sometimes they spawn outside the room . On my server enderman seem to have a next to nil spawn and yes I am exaggerating because I just can't find them. Although I must say, clever usage of the steam turbine and aqueous accumulator. To be honest I didn't even know that existed.
  4. You can try and I say try because it may not work, is go into the forge configs and there will be a line # Set this to just remove any TileEntity that throws a error in there update method instead of closing the server and reporting a crash log. BE WARNED THIS COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING USE SPARINGLY WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES. B:removeErroringEntities=false # Set this to just remove any TileEntity that throws a error in there update method instead of closing the server and reporting a crash log. BE WARNED THIS COULD SCREW UP EVERYTHING USE SPARINGLY WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES. B:removeErroringTileEntities=false Yes they are written twice and yes you need to set both to true. These warnings are not to be taken lightly, as they can screw things up. Or you can use a 3rd party world editing software to manually go into your world and delete the oven. Or you can delete your player.dat file if you are the server owner and it will erase your inventory and your spawn location and send you back to server spawn and hopefully your chunk will be unloaded and the error will resolve itself. If however your spawn is near your base that won't do anything. You can alternatively wait to see if anyone else has a better suggestion because mine might not be the best and someone may know an easier and simpler way.

  6. Anyone know how to suppress this or any messages for that matter from showing up in the server.log. This is the one in particular I am looking for: [iNFO] Registered micro material: Its obviously not an error but it does spam up the startup log a bit.
  7. Make sure you are getting it from https://www.java.com
  8. That wouldn't really benefit everyone because people have different installs and different operating systems such as a 64bit operating system or a 32bit. Or some people use Linux or Mac instead of Windows. Simply going to the official oracle/java site is a better option.
  9. In windows you can do it via the Control Panel, and I also think that on the oracle webstie there is an uninstaller.
  10. java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException You might have a duplicate config file installed, or one of your config files has an incorrect ID in it somewhere. Those are just some possible answers. Try to delete your config folder and get a fresh one from the updated pack. Backup all your stuff first though.
  11. Majority of the threads are stacking up with "MODPACK NO START HALP!" or "B-TEAM WORK NO MORE!" or the civilized "why is my Attack of the B-Team server not starting up anymore". I am not backseat modding and I am not being rude. But this thread MORE THAN LIKELY will explain why all of a sudden it isn't working yet the previous version it was working fine. Java6 support for one of the mods was dropped I believe and you need to get Java7 and install it. And make sure you REMOVE all aspects of Java6 before you just go an install Java7.
  12. I believe CodeChickenCore removed 1.6 support. You will need to update to java7
  13. BUMP - since 1.0.9c came out you will need to Re-Add this to your config files to make the oven work with Food+
  14. Sounds pretty good. Never heard of them but looks like it would be decent. So i thank you for that, but i don't want to turn this into one of those threads as much as I do appreciate the find. But anyone have any other ideas as to what could possibly be causing such a high usage or is it literally just the nature of the modpack?
  15. Ideally I'd like to find something along the lines of 6 - 8 gigs. Yes I am running 64bit java. And I don't mean to derail the topic but I just can't seem to find a decent host that runs linux and offers that much at a reasonable price. I used to have a host that was a minecraft dedicated server but I decided to switch to a Linux VPS because you have total control but at the cost of slightly higher cash. I just can't find a host that gives a decent price and full control like that.
  16. True but could that be causing the high java load. not necessarily the pinging but my plugin filtering them and erasing them from the log? I mean i honestly wouldn't think so but then again at this point i really have no other thoughts as to why my server is using 1.8 gigs of ram when no one is on and 2.5 to 2.7 gigs of ram when there is literally only one person on and there are no chunk loaders present..
  17. Tried your commands plowmanplow and it worked slightly...I had to reboot my machine though. But still seems rather high. CPU Load isnt an issue. It is this java load. With just me on, not really doing anything my java usage is hovering between 2.1 and 2.5G. I really just dont get it. I thought that maybe my host's meter was off so i did the free -m command and still the numbers are accurate. I am just not getting it. Maybe it is one of my plugins? ConsoleFilter perhaps as it is actively working to block message out of my console? My console gets SPAMMED and i mean SPAMMED with IPADDRESS/ disconnected messages if that plugin is not installed.
  18. Its gunnabe changed in 1.0.9 i think. But if you want to change it now and not wait then just disable it via the config of OpenBlocks. Set it to false.
  19. Excellent piece of advise. Thank you very much for that. Well it would seem I won't be able to disable qCraft without upsetting a lot of my players, so unfortunately that isn't going to be an option lol.
  20. Not trying to HiJack the thread here but I will offer a supporting opinion to both Loader and Islands. I myself had this issue, system 64bit java install is a 32 bit not matter what. Basically remove all old installs of java as islands said. You can do this via the Control Panel or use the oracle site. I prefer control panel personally. Then revisit the actual oracle site and as islands said. Manually download the 64bit version of java. If you use the web install version i have more often found that this method installs the 32bit version mainly because your browser by default runs the 32 bit version of it and the java web install detects the version your browser is using and installs that version of java. Like I said its just my two cents and my own experience, not trying to HiJack or anything. Hope it all works out.
  21. I'd like to but I know some people have started using them already not to mention all the quantum ore collected would vanish. And I know I think you can set a mod to disabled by renaming it <MODNAME.EXTENSION>.disabled (I.E. qCraft.zip.disabled) or was that in an older version or was that an FTB thing? If that indeed does work do you know if once it is re-enabled everything will fall back into place? It's something I would try but would not want to risk as people have been using it and collecting vast amounts of quantum ore for future projects. @islands420 some of the java arguments in the post I noticed you made seemed to fail. Now granted I didn't manually type them all i did do a copy paste but are these commands case sensitive?
  22. Wasn't Spirit World added in the Witchery update that comes in the 1.0.9 Beta version of B-Team?
  23. My best way to wool farm....Get an automous activator....put some sheers in it and enhance your self wit the Advanced Genetics Wooly gene. Then just stand in front of the activator. It is wonderful. Sure you can go with the standard sheep farm, but this is B-Team where science reigns supreme. Try it out and may all your wooly troubles be left behind.
  24. Its not that is lag spikes its that memory usage sckyrockets even if I am the only one on the server. The server has 3G of RAM. If I am the only one on, is it normal to be using 2.8 of that RAM? That is my real question I guess. Is there a way to optimize that or is Attack of the B-Team just a heavy modpack to run.
  25. Okydokey. So this modpack is wonderful and it is rather enjoyable. And it is even more enjoyable playing SMP for me at least. The only problem I have with it is quite simply its RAM usage. Now my server is running off Linux CentOS5 64 bit. My VPS only has 3Gigs Dedicated and 3G Swap however there are only about 6 to 7 of us that play. Couple of questions. Do you think 3 Gigs is enough to run this mod pack with 6 to 7 people? If not, what would be suitable. If yes any particular parameters to use? I am well aware that Attack of the B-Team is an entity heavy modpack. I am currently running a MCPC+ server. So I do have access to plugins. Currently I use. ClearLagg, WorldBoarder, WorldGuard, PermissionsEx, Essentials and that is it. I keep it very minimal for plugin usage. I ask these questions mainly because I have noticed that even if I myself am on alone. My java usage is going to almost 2.5G. Oddly enough it also can be at 2g Usage when no-one is on. Mind you this is a fresh Attack of the B-Team. Nothing added to the pack. I am familiar with Server Hosting. Is this mainly an issue that 3G just isn't enough for Attack of the B-Team to run effectively? Or perhaps there are some Java parameters I can add to the launch script that will help it along and make it more efficient? I am looking for some advise, not questions similar to "How to setup a server?", or "Why does my server crash." I will also add, that I haven't had any memory crashes yet, however with such high java usage it is only a matter of time. Thanks in advanced.
