  1. ^ this. However I will be a little more polite about it. Although don't get me wrong it is really annoying to see this forum getting spammed with this and all of the informative and fun threads are getting pushed down. I digress... However being that you didn't post a crash log and didn't explain anything I will simply advise you to possibly browse the other topics that have this issue and see if yours matches and read them to find a solution. Many of these threads are ongoing or have been answered....
  2. Chances are that because you are on a Mac you have a java version that dropped support. Current 1.0.9c requires java 1.7 which is fairly recent. Most OS have java 1.6. I am not familiar with Mac enough to know for certain that this is your issue but as you can possibly see just by glancing at the first page if this board many people are having the problem. There is a post somewhere here that addresses this for Mac and requires forcing an install of java 1.7. Some said it works. I can't find the thread right now but doing a quick search of the boards should reveal it for you should You decide on that route. As I said I am only speculating this because nothing is certain without a crash report. But I have seen many many many reports with Mac similar to this and they are all generally the same thing.
  3. So what do you use? Personally I am an item duct fan. Especially since you can impulse them and the different modes are great (vacuum, round robin, and dense) I am curious though. Do they not work with strong boxes? Or does the strong box have to be set to public access to work? Transport pipes however are cheaper but I'm really not that keen on them. I am interested to know though if the red power pipes like the router interface work with item ducts. Thoughts? Preferences? Facts? Do share your info.
  4. I have so many that I love but the simple ones like carpenters blocks and chisel really do an awesome job. You can construct so much and I love creating things.
  5. I use BioFuel as my power and it seems to be wonderful. Get yourself a planter and a harvester. Go raid a village for carrots and potatoes. Pump them back into planter and when planter is full have your system pump them into a deep storage unit as a buffer and then pump out of DSU into BioReactor and pump out biofuel into open blocks tank as buffer and pump out from tank into bio generator and voila. Power
  6. glad to see the Food+ mod author responding to this. The additions with the latest version are great. Hopefully the update makes it's way into the pack
  7. Hmm, well that is rather unfortunate. There must be some work around...I would think...
  8. Never thought of the sync clone. Hmm it is a possibility. Anyone tested that out?
  9. Okeydokey. I'm running a server with Attack of the BTeam which has the morph mod built into it. Morph mod lets you assume the forms of mobs you kill such as a bat. Now the bat allows you to fly which is fine. I don't mind that. However certain areas are not ment to be flown to or in. I don't mean worlds. I mean actual areas of worlds. I am running MCPC+ 1.6.4. Plugins: WorldBorder, WorldEdit, WorldGuard, PEX, ClearLagg. Any plugins or ideas that anyone can share that will allow you to block flying in certain areas? I thought WorldGuard had a flag so you can create a region and set flying false but that is not the case it seems.
  10. Interesting little fun story that has happened to me. --------------------------------------------------------------------- For some reason the players on my server have given me the role of evil god tyrant since I am the creator of the server. I never asked for it, nor am I evil. I just happen to shoot ahead of everyone before they had a chance because I had prior experience with B-Team and my fellow denizens happen to, rather unceremoniously, experience first hand witchery because they had no idea what a taglock was. One person happened to wise up to witchery. They created a poppet and somehow got my taglock but didn't know what to do with the voodoo poppet doll. So they were fiddling with it and it just so happened that they figured out how to toss me around...now needless to say I did not inform them of their newfound power so I proceeded along my merry little way......getting tossed every once and a while, no big deal because like I said..they weren't aware of what they were doing and I kept my silence. Crap a tornado, run for it! Yet I cant run....Instead....I am tossed into the tornado which happens to be in a rather terrible biome which then flings me out of it, into a hole which is down to bedrock and filled with lava..... A rather unpleasant day and the individual who tossed me into the tornado with the voodoo doll had no idea of the feat they just accomplished.
  11. If you are using an Auto-Spawner you can just keep the chunk loaded. Judging by his post though I think he is using an actual spawner that he moved with either a PortaSpawner or the Block Mover or whatever it is called. If that is the case then the spawner is following basic minecraft spawn formula which means I think he has to be within a 32 block radius of the spawner for it to activate and in the appropriate light level. I too have an actual mob spawner and it only produces mobs if I am near it. I am trying to use it for an essence farm. Honestly I would like to know an answer to this also if one exists. I have thought of putting an Autonimos(sp?) Activator near it since it "simulates" a player right click but that doesn't mean it acts as a player entity.
  12. Interesting, I didn't know those existed. However on an MCPC+ server even if you are OP you do not have access to those commands. SOOOO after doing some digging it seems that the permission node used for Advanced genetics is com.advGenetics.Command.GeneCommand AND adding that into my permission handler gives me access to those commands BUT I don't know if their are arguments to actually take them away from players.
  13. Anyone know how to manually remove a gene from a player? I tried looking in the configs or even searching around to see if there is a file that saves the gene info in it. I mean how else would it store the information? Unless it writes it directly into the Player.dat file. Either way, if anyone knows how to manually remove a gene from a player I'd be eager to learn how to do so myself. I am not sure if many of you are aware of the Advanced Genetics exploit (which I will not post here) but it kinda ruins servers if found out. I have already modified the config file to deactivate the gene, HOWEVER now all you get is spammed with an error message saying an admin has disabled to gene. So I am looking for a way to manually remove it from my players. Help is appreciated.
  14. Go into the command prompt. Press the task bar button and type cmd in the search box and press enter. This will open command prompt. In the command prompt type java -version and what does it say?
  15. Alright well that is a start, so my next question, I imagine you are playing this on Windows? I am only going based on the screenshot you posted. If yes what windows are you running, Windows7? And if yes to windows what kind 64bit Windows 32bit windows? You can find this by right clicking on My Computer and clicking properties if you are running in Windows. Judging from your log it looks like it is the same issue that many have been experiencing, in that your java version is 1.6 and 1.0.9c requires java 1.7, but I want to make sure before making that assumption.
  16. that was the little gear in the top right corner near the red x. That configures your launcher. The little gear I was talking about is actually under the attack of the b-team picture. So on the left of the launcher where you select Attack of the B-Team you will see a small little gear/cogwheel under the picture. When you click that one you should be able to see which version you are running.
  17. You have to find where you wrote that flag. Even if you created a batch script to launch your game. Wherever that 512 is, most likely, is causing the issue, not going to guarantee it but having two Xmx flags is not a good thing.
  18. when you launch the launcher and select attack of the b-team there is a little cogwheel under it that you can click and it will tell you which version you are on. Chances are if you are just using the launcher an haven't changed any settings then you are using the latest recommended which is 1.0.9c but that is just an assumption.
  19. You can: - Try and get into the world and delete it. - Use a third party program to load the map and manually delete it. - You can try to change remove erroring entities in the forge config to true in the two location and restart your server. (Pay special attention to the warning that is posted in the config file) Shut it down change them back to false and re-restart your server.
  20. is this the b-team 1.0.9c update. Are you updating from 1.0.8? If yes, did you check out this thread? Many people have found this to answer their questions.
  21. No problem. I'm gonna take a look at the freezer also, although it doesn't really seem like anything would be needed to produce a realistic result of a "Freezer" except Rotten Flesh to Flesh maybe?
  22. The server owner will have to change the ID used in the server config files and you would have to change your client config files to match what the server owner set them to. So if your server owner sets the Spirit World Dim ID to 20 you would have to go into your witchery config and set the Spirit Dim ID to 20
  23. Witchery's Spirit World is conflicting with Galcticraft's SpaceStations. I imagine you are trying to connect to a Multiplayer Server? There is nothing you can do at the moment to fix this unless you can get in contact with the server owner and tell them to change the config file in witchery for the spirit world to use a different dimension ID number. The server owner will have to patch his/her config file server side and then all of the clients (you all) will have to manually edit your witchery config file to use the ID for the spirit world that the server owner has set it to.
  24. Well that is actually a good setup, Auto-Sapwner, Grinder, Power, Reusable Net for your mob and it does require mob essence to get a jump start to the system. But you can take care of that by getting an XP Extractor, and extract your levels, by having an empty bucket in your inventory and then fill the spawner. Generally if you get enough to jump start it, you could potentially get a self-sustaining system.
