  1. So mods are awesome. However there are some areas where you don't want the mod to meddle. Anyone know of any good plugins or other mods that restrict usage while in a certain dimension? So for example AM2 is an awesome and fun mod but what if I don't want certain spells to be cast in one world but its okay to cast them in another. Anyone know of anything that does that?
  2. That is what i have. It is a Shop system that you customize to give whatever items you want. However as a server owner it is ur job to stay within the EULA. So mine si set to give purely decorative items like banners and stuff.
  3. So what about item rewards. What is the general feeling on that from the community. I know the EULA allows it so long as it does not give any unfair benefit over other players. So whats the thoughts on that?
  4. That's what I understood the new EULA to mean. Cosmetic items are fine. Prefixes, and suffixes are okay as well or certain commands. All I am aware of is BuyCraft. But I don't really know of any other ones. Oh and Minecraft Market. Those are the two major reliable ones that I know of. Any other thoughts? Suggestions? etc.
  5. So just a question since I know the new EULA went into effect. What do you fellow server owners do with your donations plugins. Ranks? Or better yet, what can we offer as rewards for donations. I know purely cosmetic items that don't give an advantage over other players is okay now. But since most of us run modded servers where does that play in?

Server version 1.0.5c - Call of the Guilds Update CHANGELOG - Users can now create guilds upon obtaining level 25 - Guild Homes can be set - Guild PvP can be toggled - Guild Money is earned by killing monsters.   7. Its a client side error. It seems like it was related to ExtraUtils or Mariculture. That issue has been resolved by taking both of those mods out. Now the next crash my users are getting is the dreaded Connection Reset by Peer one. Any ideas on how to resolve that? My users get "Internal Error" and then I look at the log and it is always a Connection Reset by Peer: Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer (to be precise) The server remain up and running but the client crashes. This is a hard one to track down. Multiple users are experiencing this however I have only received one crash report and that is this: http://www.pastebin.com/j6AtQw3H The server is running cauldron 1381 and no fastcraft is not installed on it.   9. the server pack has been updated to 1.0.3. The server has been rather stable for all that is going on.

I may need to remove mods, I may need to make adjustments and changes. I cannot stress that enough. A variety of changes will be taking place on the server. Quests will be added. Mod versions may change. Some mods may be removed, others added. Because this modpack has been the center of quite a bit of attention from some fans over these past few weeks (trending for a couple of days) I am going to have to cap the population limit of the server to around 20 people at the start. This will gradually increase as I monitor the server. The server cap will be 20 people however the server WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. This Server is currently EXCLUSIVE to the Technic Forums. CHANGELOG - 1.0.2 What to expect on the server: - The pack will update to 1.0.2 - this will be the official server version for the pack - 1.0.2 will include configuration changes which will resolve all biomeID conflicts - Resolution of Potion ID conflicts - Erza, Natsu, Grey will be in the Guild Hall wandering around (Quests will come later) - Working Train System to take you to the various areas of Fiore. This will be free for now however will require coin in the future - Currency system - Jobs System to make money - Quest System to earn rep and money - S-Rank Section of the guild hall will only be accessible to S-Rank wizards - Map is set to Survival Mode - McMMO is enabled and working - Warp System enabled so you can create warps to Points of Interest - The map will be "locked" at least at the start because there will be a separate world for resource gathering which you can port to. A locked map means that you are in survival mode but cannot break blocks. (This is going to be my primary focus. I am trying to find a way to not lock out Survival Completely but prevent Griefing. I am open to suggestions. Ideally I want one world. Fiore and you can gather your resources and build whatever you like in Fiore to enhance your Immersion; however prevent the major cities and railways from being accidentally or purposefully destroyed. Fiore is quite large and this makes things like WorldGuard and GriefPrevention difficult to fine tune. Especially if guilds want to purchase their guild halls within these cities.   12. Fairy Tail is a hit anime series still going on. It is an anime that foucses on magic, wizards, dragons, and all that good stuff. This modpack was desinged to put that all into Minecraft. I am a HUGE anime fan and I love doing things like this. This was a little side-project I decided to piece together. I am well aware of all the other Anime packs out there however, every modpack author adds their own flair into something. This modpack specifically is going to be used for a Fairy Tail SMP server. There will be PvP, there will be Guilds, there will be quests, etc. The server will be more of an RPG as opposed to a SMP. Although survival of course will still be required. The server will replicate Fiore, the land in which Fairy Tail takes place. For those that may be having issues I need to see a log. As for my recommendations. Make sure you are running the latest Java version.   15. Alright so question. What is the largest detriment to running a forge version on the server that is less than the client. My server runs Cauldron. Forge for 1.7.10 is at 1407(i'm just guessing don't take it for fact) now maybe? Running cauldron it stopped at around 1231 or 1240? Something like that. So what is the biggest difference from having Forge (Latest 1.7.10) client side and Cauldron 1240 (or whatever it is) server side. Now I don't want to obvious answers but lets say assuming you have all mods working both client side and server side (I know some require different version of forge) but lets say your mods on the server and your mods on the client match perfectly and the only difference is the forge version on client and the cauldron version on server what is the huge detriment that you might incur since everything is working fine already?
  16. Yep you answered my question and it looks like that is exactly how it worked. Only odd thing I found was that after running the app and having it upload to Solder intall it does indeed show up and everything is all well and good. But once you link it into Technic then an issue pops up. The issue is that it says the file cannot be extracted or does not exist or is corrupt and to contact the modpack author. Now this has happened to me twice with two different test packs. It seems to boil down to this. Once the app uploads the mods to the Solder database an MD5 Sum is attached to it and I guess once you manually upload the actual filed to your mod directory the MD5 changes? So you have to actually go in and Rehash all the mods in that pack manually. Obviously this isn't an issue with your app it is just something that I have taken notice of and am advising to other Modpack Authors. Because once you rehash all those mods in the pack I have been able to download the pack flawlessly. **Side note, is the FTP feature not yet working? I went to configure the app to upload automatically to my FTP server, even created a specific user name for it and the program stops responding and asks if I want to debug it. That is what happens when i put the full FTP address with :21 at the end of the url. If I don't put the :21 it just says invalid host-name which I can't seem to figure out because that is the host name for a manual configuration of my FTP directory on my website.
  17. Awesome update bossman. Alright, so I have a quick question that I PROBABLY should have asked a while ago but to be honest never really ran into it until now. If I want to use this application to create another modpack that reuses some mods from other packs and I check the box that says to use the Solder Installation does it auto create that pack with all the mods that I already have in the Solder Database? The reason why this comes up now is actually quite funny. See when I first got on this band wagon I used it to create one MASSIVE repository of common mods I always use. So then I would just manually create packs via solder dashboard and add in those mods that I uploaded via this app. I never actually tried to create a "new pack" with the app itself. (I created plenty of Zip packs but not solder packs). So my question becomes if I want to have this app totally manage the modpack I am creating will it automatically do that for me? In other words, I get together a new mods folder on my local machine, check the use solder install box and I know some mods in that new mods folder will be common mods that are already uploaded to my repo. Will this app once it creates the pack automatically assign those already uploaded mods to the newly created pack so all I have to do is just add in the icon and stuff like that? Becasue I know from experience that it doesn't re-upload mods already in the database. (By re-upload I don't mean actually upload them via FTP but just adding them into the solder database) Sorry if that question is confusing.

  20. How do you change the new MOJANG logo. I know it is possible because I see some Modpacks that have done it. I know it used to be assets/minecraft/textures/gui/mojang.png but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Anyone have any ideas? PS> Yes I saw the changelog where it was said that the mojang logo could no longer be changed but I am sure that this has already been overwritten since like I said above, i see modpacks doing it.
  21. Suggestion for an update perhaps? Solder 7.2 now uses Java requirements and recommended memory. Just a suggestion to maybe adding that into the program? It is no where near necessary at all lol but perhaps just as an added feature as this program is already so great I can't think of anything else in the real of suggestions or improvements lol.

  23. Alright so this is a new one for me. Here it goes. I restarted my server like I do every night. Logged into it this morning and cannot craft ANYTHING. That's it. That is the bug. Standard Minecraft craft tables do not allow me to craft anything at all. The items pops up for a moment and then disappears. That's my bug. I can't figure it out. Now if I try to use a modded crafting table like Bibliocraft's or anything like that. The item gets crafted, and then when you go to click it to put it in your inventory just disappears and the materials reset themselves as if you never crafted it. So seriously? What the hell? Not a single error, no crash, no nothing. Just unable to craft.
