It's almost never the same problem between white screens. That's just how Java reacts to a program fault. Now, if you can't find your launcher log with both hands, we can't help you. Go read the stickies.
Visit some of the big national parks, like Yellowstone. Go by the Grand Canyon. I realize both are in western states, and you may not be able to take a long road trip, so it's something for the future, maybe.
Do you have an antivirus? What bit version of Win7 are you using? AV software can block the launcher, and 32-bit OS/Java versions don't like the .exe version. Try the .jar instead.
The Error Log part isn't in the bug report form for no reason. It's basically the most important part of the bug report. Everything else is to eliminate basic problems. The log is for the more...complex ones. Post it!
I'm not sure what you're implying, but I'd guess most sites/servers/hosts/forums/etc./etc./etc. have at least some dumb users. We've proven that here on a fairly regular basis.
