Loot Ball item Crashes and destroys Server
Torezu replied to AustintheVizard2's question in Technic Launcher
Yeah, they're using the 3.1.1 server. You need to manually update your client to 3.1.1 (Options > Manual Select > 3.1.1). -
Go into Video Options and increase your render distance. Oh, and this is the wrong section. /thread

The client crashes after the Mojang logo is displayed.
Torezu replied to MechaAnguirus's question in Technic Launcher
Need a launcher log. Or you need to get rid of/disable Norton. Or both. -
AVG will often interfere even if the darn thing's turned off. It's best to just uninstall it.

What are the contents of the batch file you're trying to run? If you're not using one, do you have administrator access on the computer?

Must Have Forge Build #136+ (4096 fix) to connect to this server
Torezu replied to BaconPro's question in Tekkit Classic
This is a 3-5 day transition period wherein the newest server version is available as a dev build. If a server owner can't be bothered to inform the clients about the manual update, but wants to update the server, and the clients can't be bothered to figure out what's going on for a few days, somebody's either not paying attention, or stupid. Get off your high horse. -
Non-OPs have recipe mode automatically. You don't need to do anything.
-
You...have to use the launcher. We're happy to help you figure out why it doesn't work, unless you're trying to run a cracked copy of Minecraft, in which case you can get bent.

My pc gets shut down and rebooted after i've pressed the "login" button
Torezu replied to oempa's question in Technic Launcher
Stick it in pastebin instead. It's easier for people to look at. -
I find the idea that he might be using this...rather unlikely.
-
You could ask in General Tekkit, or you could read through the server posts. This isn't really the place for such an inquiry, no.
-
FIRE! Really, I just wanted to try the "Merge Posts" option. Anyway, warning issued.
-
Assuming the version number in your post is right, yes, I'm sure.

The more of these threads I see, the more I want to just start deleting them. Learn...to...use...search...bar. -
Invalid player name detected, please help. Will use good grammar and syntax.

I must say, I don't regret banning you, even slightly. -
Login Failures. 3 People are having this problem
Torezu replied to Siberstorm's question in Tekkit Classic
Hate to say it, but that means your users are kind of dumb. And no, there is no ETA, other than sct specifically saying that it will be "a few days" until it's pushed. That was a few days ago. -
The bug report button is just a shortcut to posting with the bug report format, which you followed anyway. I was talking about your antivirus software, though I don't see how it would have an affect on your video card drivers. I'd try third-party drivers if your ATI drivers aren't working how you want them to. Have you tried wiping out .minecraft, .techniclauncher, and Java, and doing a full reinstall of everything? Sometimes there's simply a leftover file or two hanging around that shouldn't be there.

The R key is set up to sort your inventory. This sounds like fuel items are jumping around. I usually go into the inventory sorting file (little ... button at upper-right of your inventory) and add LOCKED lines for A, B, and C, as well as the D that's already there.

It's actually "java -version" - anyway, you may just need to add Java's bin folder to your system path variable. Google it if you're not sure how to do that.
-
This may not be the problem, but I've recently discovered that Hamachi, wireless internet, and new client logins don't like each other. It causes a large lag spike on my network (I'm the server host), especially for remote connections.
-
Pretty much, yeah. Without more detail and knowledge of the firewall, nobody's going to be able to recommend anything beyond that. Double-check your computer for one as well.
-
You have the wrong Tekkit client build. You need 3.1.1. It's a manual selection option right now. Be sure to back up your waypoints from the client before updating.
-
2 things: 1) You're running with a very old version of Java. Check for multiple versions and get rid of any Java 6 installations you have. 2) Hamachi can still be blocked by a firewall or AV on the local computer. Look for those.

mod_IC2AdvancedMachines : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Torezu replied to havocx42's question in Tekkit Classic
No, no he can't. I've locked the thread. And you...need to go post a bug report. *Edit: I unlocked the thread just in case, after I realized that the 2nd threadjacking with no bug report today caused him to be banned. Oops.
