  1. You're likely running 32-bit Java. Try telling your launcher to use 1GB and see what happens.
  2. Oh, I think he knew that. It's still funny. Not that funny, but funny.
  3. You have a very old version of the launcher. However, this looks like an antivirus problem anyway. Update the launcher, make sure you have 64-bit Java, and try again. Then post a launcher log if it's still not working.
  4. Windows 7 can be either. Windows key & Pause/Break will tell you available memory and what OS you're running, including bit version.

Close, but you really need to look at the stickies first. I'll forgo the warning this time, because I'm nice. :)
  6. Your reported version of Java doesn't match your launcher log version. Go get rid of the older ones. Then delete your .minecraft folder and reinstall.
  7. There are at least 4 bug boards. Post to one of those - I suggest the one on Tekkit. And use the bug report format.
  8. AVG is bad about this. It's not just the .techniclauncher folder, it's also Java, etc. I'd just kill it while you're trying to install, and preferably make that death permanent and get a different AV.

You're using 32-bit Java. It'll let you use 1.5GB max. You need to post a log, check the bit version of Win7 you have, make sure Java matches it, and then add whatever other information you might think is useful.
  10. You guys have to read the OP thoroughly. It wasn't a question. He just failed at plural agreement. It should have been "any one knows".
  11. Hopefully it will work anyway, but it may not be compatible with some things.
  12. You know, I've never heard this comparison, but it is kind of apt for most peoples' general use of the software. I'm sure it works well for some, but...
  13. Huhwhat? If you have a 64-bit OS (you appear to), you need 64-bit Java. Why do you have the JDK, unless you're programming with Java?
  14. Quietly. With no fanfare. You won't even know it's gone until you go looking for it. Edit: If you have reached the Mojang screen, the launcher has done its work. If you get to that point, then post a bug report here, I will delete it. See above.
  15. Nope. They are used a base to make alchemy bags though.
  16. Moved to Tekkit Bug Board. Now provide more information, or look around and see what other people have done with similar problems.
  17. Check your antivirus/firewall settings, or just uninstall/disable your AV during the download.
  18. Yeah, you need to wipe and reinstall Tekkit - you have a block ID conflict.
  19. Yup. I recommend uninstalling it completely, but just turning it off might work.
  20. It looks like you might be trying to use 64-bit Java on a 32-bit system or vice versa. Please post actual version numbers. Also, we need a launcher log, not a Java log, to troubleshoot.
  21. Failure to clear the cache means you either need to kill all instances of Java in task manager, or you need to reboot and not run anything from the launcher until you clear it.
  22. 1) Highly recommend you use Java 7. Install it, and remove Java 6. 2) Go into Video Settings and increase your render distance. It's probably set to zero.
  23. Get a 2-button mouse?
  24. We need an error log. I'm guessing antivirus/firewall issues.
  25. You updated to 3.1.0 - downgrade to 3.0.3, and you should be working in no time.
