  1. Two things: 1) That's your server log, not your launcher log, which would be much more helpful for diagnosing a launcher problem. 2) Max memory is always going to be 1.5GB unless you manage to get a 64-bit OS and Java to match.
  2. This is not a bug. This is intentional. Figure out which plugin offers protections for the area the quarry is trying to dig, or part of it, and figure out how to allow the [buildCraft] fake player to bypass those. If you can't do that or don't want to try and don't mind the possibility of quarries being used to grief, type "/OP [buildcraft]" (without the quotes) into the in-game chat window, or the same thing without the / into the server console.
  3. This is the first time I've ever seen a corrupted download (of the server files), so it's likely on your end. What browser are you using? Do you have an antivirus program and/or firewall that might be causing problems? Have you scanned for viruses recently (usually the AV/firewall will just cause failures to download)?
  4. Go grab a new launcher, delete your tekkit folder (save waypoints if you want them), and start over. It looks like an update broke yours.
  5. The server should just work out of the box. Did you update at any point?
  6. That generally means the port-forwarding is not done correctly, he has the IP wrong, or there's another firewall in the way. Beyond that, I'm stumped.
  7. Delete the players' tablet files. The update broke them. Sadly, you will lose the tablets' learned items.
  8. Those mods are not in Tekkit 3.1.2, so it's a modified server package. Is it listed on this site? If so, it will be asked to remove them or delisted if that's refused.
  9. I urge you to closely inspect the P.A.I.N.S. section of the forum. I think that should suffice to answer your question.
  10. You didn't have Java in your system path variable. You also posted this in the wrong section - for future reference. That may have been the cause of the slow/nonexistent response time.
  11. Are you sure this isn't a Miner query? Anyway, those are waypoints. Comma sets one, period opens the menu to add/remove/modify them.
  12. Norton could very well have kept his launcher from pulling all his mods correctly, but it shouldn't keep him from connecting, no. Did you mean other Tekkit servers? By "see" I meant if he adds your server to his list (instead of Direct Connecting), does it show up with signal?
  13. Water Strainers are commonly disabled because they tend to be glitchy on SMP. Other times, they'll work fine, but I'm not sure I'd want to take the chance.
  14. People who say things like this give me the impression they haven't read the stickies before posting. You...did read the stickies like you were supposed to, right?
  15. When's the last time you got a new launcher and deleted your tekkit folder? I'd do that. Save your waypoints first, if you have any you want to keep.
  16. Machines don't work well, or sometimes at all, when a generator is trying to power them directly. DanielJin's right - a batbox in the middle is a good idea.
  17. I think he was saying he plays Tekkit SSP instead of Technic to reduce the number of mods there are to mess with. Anyway, OP: pictures would be very helpful. Engines go on the side of a pump, then get a redstone signal, coal/charcoal/whatever, or oil/fuel, with a redstone signal being needed for the bigger ones as well. The pump then needs a waterproof pipe going from it to a tank. Do you have all that?
  18. It's probably a chat timer built into a plugin - which ones are you running?
  19. Do you have a 64-bit OS, and are you running 64-bit Java to match if you do? How much RAM are you allocating? Hint: 1GB is usually sufficient.
  20. Can he see your server? Does he have an AV or firewall that could be blocking his connection?
  21. I believe those are in servers.dat in your tekkit folder. Is that read-only for some reason? This doesn't make a lot of sense. At any rate, you can back that file up, and hopefully (not certain) that will prevent needing to recreate your list.
  22. The only way to turn luminators "off" quickly is to give them more then 32 EU/t.
  23. How is this a Fix for anything, why is it in Off Topic, what mod pack are you trying to use (and what version), and wtf is dylloop? Do you see the problem here?
  24. Remove all traces of Java, and reinstall the bit-appropriate version of Java 7u5. Then restart. If that still doesn't work, post a better bug report. With pictures, since your description of the error is lacking somewhat.
  25. It's not at all. In fact, the BuildCraft wiki recommends getting your first bucket+ of fuel processed using oil-powered combustion engines, then processing the fuel with fuel-powered combustion engines from then on. Just make sure to feed them water...
