you get tekkit through the launcher not on your own open your launcher select tekkit and click launch done unless your looking for the server files which is different but always should be done via the home page platform as its called now

ok i gave it a try but my particle thingy is not doing it it gets to 100% then nothing and it starts again i made the 30x30 i just dont get it i even tried 32x32 just in case im just not sure what the problem could be and yeah there is like little to know info on this stuff

Hold on a sec are you talking about the launcher cause silly me i assumed you had that and we're trying to get tekkit through the launcher If your trying to get the launcher see top of this page for the platform you can download it safely from there

Need way more info for instance where exactly are you installing to and are you installing for both the server and client what sys is your server on and what version are you using Also what sys is you client on and what version are you running And what mods are you adding

the 5% loss only occurs when you attch to a machine you dont lose anything in the network like from conduit to cell or vice versa

anyone here is gonna need more info were you trying to get a server going or is this single did it crash, not download, look weird, forget to say hello, what sys are you running on 64bit 32bit 16bit 8bit whats your os windows 7 windows 8 windows xp windows 98 window 3.5 linux unix mac dos what version of java do you have and is it the same bit depth as your sys which side of you mouth was your tongue on did you say please work or work damn it

disable any antivirus and or firewalls you may have and try again

ok well im out of ideas but if you post your error log from tekkit in the tekkit folder somewhere im not sure atm you may get lucky and someone will come along who is better qualified to solve your problem good luck

wrong forum this is tekkitmain tekkit lite has its own forum on another note your problem is most likley because 32bit java will only let you use 1 gig now if you have more (which you most likley do) your probably a 64bit sys to fix this uninstall your java then go get the 64 bit java on oracles site (you will have to dig a bit into other versions but i think there making it easier) install the lastest greatest 64bit java nad then give it more ram and you should be good to go

Well you got me only other thing I think of is update your java to the latest 64bit version making sure to uninstall all other versions

Little box beneath the ram says increase permagen it increases how much ram goes to the actual running of the game

try disabling any antivirus and firewalls you might have

Without knowing anything about your sys it's hard but try clicking the cog upper right and giving it more ram also check the permagen box

hes right viv can you post some screen shots also you know that all that wouldnt be required if you just used biofuel and scrapped ic2 but meh what ever

ok can we get some more info like computer specs java version copy of whats inside your bat and a paste bin of the error log and try to get your English as clear as is possible the majority of us only speak English makes it really hard to help if we cant understand you also wouldnt hurt to give a step by step walkthrough of how you went about starting your server ie where you got the server files and how you configured them and most importantly be patient we dont do this for a living no one is paying us we just try to help because thats the awesome nice ppl we are good luck

best bet would be find a hoster for somthing like that you would only be looking around 10 bucks a month im in canada too but most of the hosters are in europe or stateside but i have never had lag issues if your unsure of setting it most of them offer free initial set up and i would be willing to help with plugins and such if you need either that or if you have an spare desktop laying around its not hard to set up there too and if your all connecting in the same home you wouldnt even have to worry about port forwarding

Well all i know is its very rare 1 or 2 per chunk and you also had to turn it on in the atomic science config and cofh I think look back a couple pages I posted links to both posts regarding this issue

Thats wierd I had set mine up same way and I noticed yesterday that it quit working to only I did mine after the update I wonder what could be causing this
