  1. You open up a school, but only the mindlessly wandering noobs enroll. They are impossible to teach. I wish nobody was a noob.
  2. Are you sure you want to host a public server on it if it's so bad?
  3. You learn how, and code the best video game of all time. Unfortunately, the second best video game of all time comes out a few hours afterward. Because it's your first videogame so you have no money, the other publisher blows your advertising spending away and gets 1,000,000 times more sales. I wish Noobs wouldn't try to run public Minecraft Servers.
  4. Well, you never know. He may have a beast mode computer and can run 10 instances of Minecraft at once, but I doubt it. XD
  5. No, It doesn't. In fact, It's better that you play Minecraft and run your server on different computers. You will need to install Java on the server computer though.
  6. Do you have java installed? If it isn't the same computer that you play on, then it might not.
  7. Oh you mean the console says to press any key then exits? What does it say before that?
  8. Honestly, I think you should figure out how to make a server start before you make a public one and start looking for ops. Can you describe your problem more accurately so I can help you?
  9. Are you sure it's Tekkit classic? My Tekkit classic server has one and I know I didn't put it there manually. Are you sure you want to invite a random stranger from the internet to be OP on your public server?
  10. I dunno... Is it a public server?
  11. Is your computer actually capable? Do you have a lot of other programs running?
  12. Did you run the server at least once? Tekkit Classic runs on a bukkit server so the folder should be created automatically.
  13. Put them in your plugins folder.
  14. ;) That's gotten me a few times. Stuff like batch files don't work inside of zips. Does it work now?
  15. ok. Did you drag the entire .zip you downloaded into your new folder, or everything inside of it. You need to do the latter.
  16. I expect that would be easier, cuz, you know, you can see and hear which is generally easier to follow than reading.
  17. I think you should probably look it up on YouTube. YouTube is your friend.
  18. It's not a folder. It's a command thingie that starts the server.
  19. I wish I could code mods period. XD You learn how to write Forge mods, but when you are finally an expert your realize you've forgotten your ideas for mods. [sCIENCE!!!!]Also, I think 30 FPS isn't a hard limit. I think I heard that it varies from person to person.[/sCIENCE!!!!] I wish that those Dirty MMO games wouldn't run ads on www.technicpack.net. Definitely not when my Mom is in the room.
  20. Triple posting is against the rules! So is back-seat moderating. Ok, anyway, It's pretty simple. Download the Server files from the webpage. Create a new folder wherever you want to run the server from. Open the zip you just downloaded. Select everything in there and drag it into the folder from #2. Double click launch.bat (for windows) or launch.sh (for mac) Bam. That's it. To find your internal IP address, go to the command line, (cmd.exe on win7) and type 'ipconfig' then press enter. The 'default gateway' is the local IP address, give this to friends/family playing on your local network. To find your external IP address, go to http://www.whatismyip.com/ and check the big green number near the top. This is what you give to friends/family/strangers* who will be joining across the internet. (from a different house) Keep in mind that to do that you will need to have port forwarded your router. Look it up on youtube or sumthin if you haven't already. *Don't give your IP address to strangers. It can be dangerous.
  21. It isn't optional. Don't worry though, I believe Dinnerbone said it was limited to better armor and stuff that mobs spawn with. Creepers don't blow up bigger and zombies don't have any extra health or anything. I expect the speed at which one can mine and craft and smelt to gear up outstrips the increase in difficulty anyway.
  22. 20 USD is delivered carefully to your front door. Unfortunately, they are counterfeit, so the FBI shows up 30 min later and arrests you. I wish that I had a better computer that could run Big Dig at more than 25 FPS.
  23. Sigh. Did you read the stickies? if not, you wouldn't know to try running the launcher .exe as an administrator. Also, don't sign your posts. It's not a letter, so it looks silly. It's also against the rules.
