What is a nuclear reactor used for?
dwwojcik replied to Josh Clark's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Wait... this is in the Tekkit Classic section. That means its an IC2 pre-MC1.3 reactor, so it would need to be hooked up to an HV transformer and power storage blocks such as a MFSU. It can be used for anything that takes EU, but the most popular use for a nuke is to hook it up to a mass fabricator to get free stuff. Yes, make sure you read up. An overheated IC2 reactor results in a larger explosion then the Nuclear Explosive from the same mod. -
My first try with the KSP demo didn't go so well.... I just wanted to go up then come straight back down. I went up, de-coupled the launch stage, and released the parachute. I went to high and was coming down too fast and the parachute snapped. Ooops.

I feel like the FTB crowd are trying to convince themselves that they are better by sort of bending the past to fit their mission: Tekkit, but with permission. [and without creativity and originality] At least that's what your FTB-fanboy friends are doing. If I were you, I'd just tell them: "The fact is, none of that is true whether you like it or not." It looks like Technic is pulling the same trick that FTB tried back before Tekkit Lite. They didn't wait for any mods and updated to the latest Minecraft. I think that's one of the reasons FTB took off. Now lookit: FTB- "We're going to wait for Minecraft 1.6 because I'm sure Redpower will update. I think. We'll release a 1.5 pack, but it'll just be a novelty." Technic- "Redpower is just one mod." Thats really of topic. Sorry Chea- I mean Girl.

I agree. =P Shadow278 brought it up.

Well, it's simple. Cheap Shot used his incredible admin powers to create a false user that is at his disposal whenever the echoes of his identity crisis surface. Although it is really Cheap Shot, the regular black name is part of the disguise.

Fair 'nuff. I would be disappointed to see buildcraft in Hexxit as well.
-
What do you mean? This list is 10000% final!!!1111!!11111 If these mods aren't in it I'm quitting and going to play FTB!!!!111!!!!1111
-
Why on earth would you even expect to see Buildcraft in Hexxit, Shadow278?

This is your best bet: http://forums.technicpack.net/forums/scribble-parlour.45/

I thought girl was Cheap Shot. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/my-mod-pack-let-me-ask-for-permission-from-modders-then-try-to-sell-it.7304/page-6

Ok.... I missed the part about the Yogscast Tekkit (I loved that series, but I feel like it died with Tekkit classic.) Unfortnately, unless you don't mind actually playing Tekkit Classic on Minecraft 1.2.5 you won't be able to do it. Albalaka is MIA so there hasn't been a IC2 official release since MC 1.4.5. RedPower, well, I think it would be better to treat RedPower as a lucky bonus when it does update instead of a requirement..... still stuck in 1.4. EE2 is no longer updated, not since 1.2. If you don't mind 1.2.5 instead of 1.5.2 go ahead and play Tekkit Classic. It is the same pack. They just renamed Tekkit to classic when Tekkit Lite came out. No, to add mods to any Technicpack modpack all you have to worry about is C:\Users\[YourUserNameHere]\AppData\Roaming\.technic\[NameOfPackYouWantToChange]
-
You never never said anything about thaumcraft..... It was a completely unfounded rumor.... You HAVE to add it in or I'll never play Hexxit!!!!111!!!111one
-
Thats true. I wouldn't know about Hexxen because if it came out on DOS its older than me. XD
-
I think Hexxit is a combination of 'Hex' (OooOOooo! Magiky word!) and Tekkit.
-
I also looked through the JSON file and saw the list. It's interesting to see that Thaumcraft was not on the list after all. I googled Project Zulu. Looks epic.

If you just want to add mods to tekkit for yourself, the easiest way would just be to download mods and put them in here: C:\Users\[YourUserNameHere]\AppData\Roaming\.technic\tekkitmain\mods if you have Windows 7 like me. If you have a different version of Windows, it shouldn't be to different. If you have a mac, sorry, cant help. =P I suspect you have gotten this far before. Once you have all your mods downloaded, start up Minecraft. This is where it gets tricky. If Minecraft crashes, chances are its a ID conflict. Deciphering the crash report is a little tricky but you should be able to figure out what the issue was with. Fix those by editing the values in the corresponding config file somewhere around these parts: C:\Users\[YourUserNameHere]\AppData\Roaming\.technic\tekkitmain\config Another thing you will want to do is disable duplicate ore generation (i.e. both forestry and thermal expansion adds copper, you only want one) which is also done in the configs. If you want to make your own modpack go here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/luke%E2%80%99s-hopefully-comprehensive-modpack-making-guide.44197/ Its worth reading even if you don't want to make a modpack because it will probably help with what I (tried to) explain above. If I just confused you, well, someone else will see this and hopefully do a better job of explaining. XD

XD Like my avatar? Anyway, uhh.... back on topic. Yup. Looks like it must have been those pesky MFR compatibility thingies.
-
Oh, ok. So far it looks good though! =D Edit: Never heard of most of the mods, but I looked up [REDACTED] and it looks really cool! [Post data expunged to remove possible spoilers]
-
But... But.... What about this? http://solder.technicpack.net/api/modpack/hexxit/0.1 If I made a modpack with all the mods in that, wouldn't that be leaked Hexxit?
-
Uhh... Sorry. Don't even try to pronounce it. It's my first and middle initials and my last name. I started using it when I was 8 or something. It kinda grew on me, and when I bought Minecraft I didn't want to waste time thinking of a more original name. XD
-
Hang on.... I think I've seen that before. Does it say something along the lines of 'Mod not found: XYcraft (For example) MFR compatibility not loading'? In that case its just a warning, and you can play normally. Or did you mean you manually added mods to your server and the client won't join? In that case you will need to install the extra mods to both server and client. No ways around it. I'm not sure what the OP meant. Edit: I'm also not sure if MFR even has compatibility for some of those mods.

Hmm. That's a very meaty JSON file there. Hexxit looks interesting.

[1.6.x/1.5.x] Redstone In Motion (Redpower Frames) 2.3.0.0 (October 8)
dwwojcik replied to jakj's topic in Modders Metropolis
I have been having fun (Well, more dreaming. XD) with this mod! Everything moves! All I need is for the stuff to be solid while it moves and for computers to work and it'll be 100% functional. (Of course once I program all 7 computers XD)
