As am I. Since my mod is going to be centered around Tekkit (and require it to run), I'm going to be harassing asking questions to KakerMix and Cheap Shot a lot. Sorry in advance for all the trouble I will cause you in this board I'll add you in the thank you section of my mod for tolerating me.

I'd like to put up a situation I'm in right now: I'm making a mod for TEKKIT 3. It involves utilizing aspects of various mods and combining them to make stuff. For example, I utilize computers, IC2, and buildcraft in a few items. My item needs to accept both EU and BC pipes, and take input from a computer. Since Tekkit uses a couple of tricks to get the mods to work together, it would be nice to have relevant code, instead of code from separate mods.

I feel that there a few issues with some mods in Tekkit as it is. I'll try to make this crisp and delineated (my chem teacher's favorite word). 1. Fall damage, especially with jetpacks, is a bit off. It should be based on speed of impact, and not by distance fallen. It seems off that you get killed if you use a jetpack to slow a 40 block fall to the speed of a 2 block fall. 2. Drowning can be a pain to get out of, especially with the knockdown. 3. Jetpacks shut off with damage taken. It ticks me off a lot, especially in the Nether. 4. Health should be healable, like it was in pre-hunger beta. Maybe add some potions or special foods.

I agree with TheCyberTronn, PshychoBob, Cheap Shot, and SimpleGuy. Even though virginity protection isn't really what I do best, it's still an epic name. I feel I'll be here a lot, asking questions and whatnot, and maybe you'll be seeing some of my stuff appear in the Tekkit pack (if I get something REALLY good and stop Helen Kellering).

First of all, clean up your chanspeak. If I want to hear people talk like this, I'd go to /b/, not this forum. Comments aside, I would be interested in knowing how to make NEI dump IDs as well. I am a server host, as well as a modder, and I plan to give back to the Tekkit community by making a mod for Tekkit 3.xx, so I figure it would be useful to keep an item list handy.

Stopped working overnight? I had that problem the other day. Mine was caused by a chunk buildcraft got a memory leak in, caused a lot of grief for 5 minutes until the server fixed itself. But that doesn't seem to be the issue. According to the error data, your router/network is dropping packets. I've gotten this once and I fixed with a router reboot and a computer reboot. Give that a try.

Wow... One long ass sentence there. Let me try to add a few mental periods in. Is this a request to add a mod in? If so, I believe SDK's mod is compatible with Tekkit if you change some item IDs. Shouldn't be too hard. -
1st: Make sure ALL users have Java JRE 1.7. You should install the latest version yourself. Also make sure they have the correct Tekkit client. 2nd: Check to see if online mode is on or off, this could affect it based on how your server is to be used. 3rd: Reinstall Hamachi. It usually fixes things. 4th: If you are using a custom client (MinecraftSP, MagicLauncher, etc.), try logging in with the default Tekkit client. Some clients have a special patch that needs to be applied, you'll have to google that if you want to use them. 5th: If you are using a Mac, wipe your harddrive, sell the mac, and buy a nice Windows one with an i7 2600k, 8+GB RAM, a good videocard and SSD, and you will STILL have money left over! Then you server will definitely work.

Gibbycraft Tekkit Overhaul - A (potential) mod

This mod is not just IC2. It will utilize a combination of all Tekkit mods (so, associates with all of them), as well as change some base features of MC (such as health and hunger, which I may have a plugin do, as compared to a mod). Since I plan to build it using the NEXT version of Tekkit, I need to have a tentative list of mods and their versions, so that I can work more closely with the devs, as well as have the correct build to base my mod on. Another way of explaining this: Do you build a plugin for iron golems that makes them shoot lasers at Creepers for MC 1.0? Heck no, iron golems aren't even in 1.0. Also, I probably won't include Forestry compatibility with my mod, seeing as Tekkit just got divorced with it. I need to know if there are any new mods incoming/mods leaving for the next version. -
My friends and I all have a bit of experience in java, and as a server admin, I am sick and tired of "this MC feature is broken, take it off", "If you don't install ____ plugin, there will be consequences", "hunger meter is stupid", "hitpoints are stupid", etc. So, we decided that we are going to do an overhaul to our server to permanently stop the whining. We have come up with a tentative list of features, highlights being dual-wielding, instant health-restoring items, adding new mobs, adding new weapons and items, GIVING TUNGSTEN A USE, weather stations, and more. Some Tekkit mods will be linked together - one potential item uses a Turtle from computercraft, Combustion Engines from buildcraft, AND Quantum armor from IC2 (I'll let you guys and girls guess what this awesomeness is going to be). Anyways, enough for the preview. I don't know when Tekkit is going to update, and I did not post this long message to try and bull$#!t my way into another one of those annoying questions about when it updates. My question is "What MC/Bukkit version is Tekkit planning for its next release?" I have Netbeans, Eclipse, and some Bukkit APIs, and I've started on some concept art and intended crafting recipes. Would any Tekkit devs either post a reply here or PM me. I plan to have an interesting mod that gives Tekkit a more unified feel, but I can't start without any idea of what Bukkit API to build off... NO, I am not asking for Tekkit to include this mod in their pack (if you want to, though, I would be more than happy to donate it). I am just doing this to stop people from whining about some features of the game, and to give it even more depth. This would require no work from Tekkit coders, and I do not intend to constantly whine on all the forums about features being broken. So how about it Tekkit? Interested in this mod?

Launcher/pack Version: 2.1.1 Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Version of Java: JAVA_VERSION="1.7.0" Description of Problem: I am running a normal Tekkit server with no extra mods/plugins/etc. I created an EE DM Pedestal and placed it on a cobblestone block (trying to be as specific as possible, if someone needs to replicate). When Shift+Right-Clicking on the pedestal, I place a newly-crafted Archangel's Smite in the pedestal's active item slot. I have tried activating the pedestal both by right-clicking it and by using a redstone input (via both a lever and redstone torch, tested separately). Nothing happens. Only the vanilla animation of the player using an item. Tested with 2 OP-status characters, and pig mobs within 5 blocks. I went to the EE wiki and watched the video on Archangel's, just to make sure I didn't pull a stupid. I also went through all 44 pages in this forum, and have not found a similar post.
