    If it isn't working on a nonprotected area, then there is something wrong with the BuildCraft mod itself. Quarrys *should* always work, even if not given permissions.

    This actually is quite a duplicate, there are many other threads about skins not updating in Tekkit Classic. The only logical answer is: They don't update. Deal with it.

    It doesn't matter that lot if you are on 1.2.5, the most basic stuff is the same, but there is a lot you can't do in that version.

    Plugins is a whole different thing than patches: Plugins is within the Bukkit API; Patches are essentially mods... Anyways, I learned coding by watching Sgtcaze's videos on YouTube, I recommend checking him out. It's pretty good for basic stuff. If you want to have more advanced stuff, just search the bukkit forums.

    You don't need to put slashes infront if you are working in the console.

    What type of hosting? Home-hosted or by a company? What type of DB? Mysql or SQLite? If it is MySQL, ask the host if they provide you with one, otherwise you'll need to use SQLite...
