I did some testing and the CPU is in fact throttling, down to about 1.8GHz from 3.2 when the spikes occur. My power plan is set to max performance and was from the start. I did some research and I might need to lower my minimum processor state in the power settings. I am going to try that later and will let you know how that works. EDIT: The CPU actually clocked down as low as 1.1 GHz. Any ideas as to what could be causing the throttling (besides heat?)

Hi all, I have been playing Attack of the B-Team for awhile now and truly enjoy it. The only drawback is that I get periodic lag spikes that don't make it unplayable, but are just really annoying. If anyone could help, that would be great. So far, I have installed OptiFine, changed ingame video settings to lower settings, and allocated 3GBs of RAM via the launcher. I also set javaw.exe to use the NVidia processor in the NVidia Control Panel, but the problem is still there. I have tried allocating 4GB of RAM through the launcher, but to no avail. I am playing on a laptop, bu

Part Builder Problems for tinkers construct
budderman21 replied to TheGrimCreeper24's topic in Attack of the B-Team
What material are you trying to use to make the parts? To make a part in the part builder, you need the stencil and any material listed in the Materials and You Pt. 1 book that don't say "Requires Smeltery" i.e. wood, stone(not cobble), flint, cactus, etc. -
Team CoFH (devs of Thermal Expansion) adds this feature that can be changed in the config files.

Make sure that you are both running the same version of Attack of the B-Team.

Attack of the B team Lag - Please help!

Are you running 1.0.10a? If so, there was a huge memory leak that has been fixed in the latest version of ProjectRed. I believe it also exists in 1.0.9. I was running ~20 FPS, until I manually updated all ProjectRed parts. Then, my performance shot up to 60-100 FPS w/o OptiFine and a 64x resource pack. I don't even have a gaming computer. There are other factors that affect performance, such as your graphics card, processor, etc.- 4 replies

If you are running 1.0.10, MineFactory Reloaded was updated and the turbines now require steam as an input instead of water. The only way around this is to use any dynamos from Thermal Expansion, since there is NO WAY to produce steam in the modpack. Any versions prior to 1.0.10, just hook it up to an aqueous accumulator from Thermal Expansion and you should be set.
