  1. hey guys, little question here: do the MFR machines work with the RF energy aswell? or do i need to create a sepperate BC power station for that? thanks in advance, Crusader
  2. buffer chest... tried that.... didnt work might be a chunk border, have to check on that. but i kinda tried everything hahaha ahhwell... replaced the sawmill with a second Rfurnace now.... still have 7.3 million RF in my reactor storage
  3. before i begin i just want to say i am no expert at all and i'm just suggesting stuf here(still i do hope i can help you with that) 5x5 internal space or total space? in case of total space that would give you a 3x3 area to work with inside. wich case i would say you should make an X form inside with rods(5 rod collums total) and then fill up the remaining space wth coolant(if needed??). should be pretty effective in my opinion. needed: 5 control rods. 5 fuel rod collums. 1 power tap. 1 interface(the computer thingy). and 2 input/output?? maybe 1 input is enough tho.
  4. so i tried what you guys said and well.... i now moved the sawmill 2 blocks to the right so as to prevent conflicts with the other lines but i still have a problem when the bottom is set to orange output: it doesn't output secondary products(the dust) if i ad a output side specifically for the saw dust then it doesn't output aswell. now i might aswell give you guys a copy of my world(so you can figure it out) but problem is: i don't know how to . p.s. i have tried almost any combiantion i could think of(with servo, without, with whitelists/blacklists, without them) and the sawmill just doesn't want to extract. not on red, not on yellow not even on orange extraction mode(combined) little edit on my side here: tried to make the line shorter and now it does extract correctly.... is there a set range then???? edit edit: confirmed my first edit: when set to a pipe lenght of around 6-7 it does extract. but when the itemduct is like 10-12 in lenght it doesn't. is this a bug???
  5. that is what i was doing, altough output on the bottom would then interfere with the furnace pipes. so i actually don't need servo's to do the output thingy without a redstone power source.. hmmm.... interesting . ahwell, i'm going to try the above and we'll see where that leads . thanks for the help yet again people!
  6. hey people, i have my base set up and running and thought it would be about dam time for me to increase wood yield per block and thus I made a sawmill.... now the problem is this: A, it doesn't extract at all(orange mode) or B, it does extract but to the wrong chest(wich has a blacklist setup for wood and byproduct). here are some pics to clarify: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gaoadf1jha48y3t/2014-03-17_21.58.11.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/ykwasfp1j5fsv1a/2014-03-17_21.58.16.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/da5ve31vy460v24/2014-03-17_21.58.35.png sorry for links only, still haven't figured out how to copy over the pics themselves. as you can see i do have sepperate transport lines but somehow it still manages to send the stuf(if it sends at all) through the wrong pipes(the furnace one). If anyone know some more about this then please help me .
  7. if someone could actually let us know where that config file is and what lines need to adjusted then that would be awesome edit: little edit here. i think i found the config file and lines that decide break speed: appdata>roaming>.technic>modpacks>tekkitmain>config, here is where you look for the TreeCapitator.cfg in this config file look for the next line(use ctrl+F): [Global] When true, the log break speed is equal to original break speed / (tree height * <treeHeightModifier>). 2 lines below is the true and false setting to be input. This should hopefully help edit2: tested this with the above config line set to false and it works.
  8. dam, that really sucks man. i would love to share my base with you guys(altough very very small) but i still don't know how to ad in pics here and yes i did try copy+paste and dragging them into the message box haha
  9. so what does a automated peaceful table??? it kills mobs??
  10. yeh, it is a setting with treecap. it actually calculates the time it would take to cut down the tree block by block and then puts that time into a single log
  11. i am still a beginner with tekkit and thus i can not confimr what you stated here. but if that is indeed the case then the fission reactor would be indeed way better(or are we talking about the small turbines compared to large turbines???)
  12. yeah, that i know of. but i find it sort of strange that ore gives uranium... wile yellorium ore had not even a bit of uranium in its name(aka: they should add it as a tooltip or something ) ahh well, resolved the issue now and got a reactor with pulverizer and redstone furnace running now again. p.s. i started a new world because i wasted too much on my previous one due to engines and dynamo's for power gen
  13. i just have 1 mayor issue with this: uranium gives rad poisening. ingots do not
  14. that "new" method works great . when can we expect: The Winstitute- Mars Express btw??
  15. i came back from one of those long hiatus . still remember the solar power farms we had to make back in the day to get some early power hahaha . or the EE2 hack where you just needed some bonemeal and a dark room with grass in it... ohh man... that was a mass fab generation
  16. could you link that tutortial here??? or is it that yellorium reactor tutortial??? edit: ignore previous comment. i found your tutortial . i must say that those speed-are are really neat, love the music hahaha. also: i will start a new world now seeing this tut. i have come to the conclusion that i did soooo many things wrong. i wasted resources aswell . learned from that and i thank you again for the great vids
  17. that actually is rather normal. altough it might sound not so much larger then 3x3, 5x5 is actually more than 2 times as large(3x3=9 and 5x5=25) so the more then double power output could be quite correct
  18. hahaha its a great vid. helped me alot , i'm now powering my quarry+pulverizer+redstone furnace with the same yellorium reactor from your vid . p.s. if you could some more tutortial like vid's then that would be much appreciated
  19. so currently, the only way of producing some real power is by making for example big big yellorium reactors.... man.... even i know(just starting with tekkit) that i would prefer to do some more research and then build me one hell of a fusion reactor etc.
  20. haha, most of the time i pick the right ore(the tnt ore) but i had it happen once that mining just 1 piece of coal set off a chain reaction wich actually destroyed the entire coal vein
  21. ohh wait a second haha. sorry guys, i am sooo stupid haha. didn't see the little storage in the Gui hahaha, so that's a problem solved . ohh and Curunir: i did look at that very page before actually just didn't see the item input box haha..... kinda explains why all the buttons didn't make any sense . Thanks guys for all the info
  22. ahh thanks for that . didn't find that while looking myself(altough i might have used some wrong keywords )
  23. hey people, i set up a yellorium reactor powering a quarry and all my other stuf but now my question is this: i figured out how to upgrade the itemducts but i just don't understand it's GUI... could anyone explain this to me?? because i want to get all those items from the quarry into sepperate chest(cobble+dirt chest, ore chest etc.)
  24. i presume this is about my post yeah i know right no problem at all. glad that i could help ya somebit
  25. altought he steam dynamo's are a good power source for the very beginning i would recommend you to build a yellorium reactor as soon as you can. it isn't hard to make at all(just build my first one myself) and it is way more costeffective. here's al thread and youtube link for ya . '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> i'm just starting with tekkit aswell and these links helped me allot
