  1. Where are tekkit lite's logs? I found the forge logs, and the last 2 lines are 2013-06-25 14:47:23 [FINEST] [solarApoc] Sending event FMLConstructionEvent to mod SolarApoc 2013-06-25 14:50:19 [iNFO] [sTDOUT] Exiting mod pack where i let it sit on the white screen for a few minutes before closing it. edit: found the launcher logs, if that's what i needed. 2. For reference: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1154096-solar-apocalypse-4-mc151/ It's just a simple .jar, tried dropping it into the tekkit lite mods folder. After the mojang splash, the client white screens. I tried copying over the config file from my .minecraft folder to the tekkite lite config folder, but that didn't change anything. What's a standard troubleshooting list for this kind of thing?
  3. known bug with EE. don't do it! edit: not even a bug, this is straight from the EE wiki.
  4. sounds like an item id conflict. had a similar problem with furnaces, had to do a full reinstall. (If i'm off my rocker, let me know)
  5. yes, it does. Unless it's being buggy. Granted, my note was for 2.1.1, which might have been fixed in 3.0.4
  6. What sorcery is this? Would you be willing to post the source code for that program?
  7. not to necro the shit out of this thread, but does everyone have to do this clientside too?
  8. It's a bug that the rotary macerator is capable of macerating nether ores to begin with. A standard macerator can't. Math time: When you macerate an iron ore block, you get 2 iron dust. When you smelt a nether iron ore block, you get an iron ore block, which can then be macerated into 2 iron dust. 2=2=2, amirite?
  9. are we talking railcraft world anchors, or additional pipes teleport tethers?
  10. 100 solar panels generates a noticeable amount of lag on my server. Unless you're running a PvP server, I can't see why you don't like MVs and HVs. Enjoy the lag!
  11. Power teleport pipes have a "power loss" over distance function. Past 100 blocks, they are incapable of transporting power. Energy links will always drain the maximum amount of power you feed them. To "fix" the power teleport pipes, go into buildcraft/config/AdditionalPipes.cfg and change "powerloss=0.995" to "powerloss=1.0". Honestly think this should be the default setting, power pipes are just stupid otherwise...
  12. Title: Crash from Teleport Pipe GUI Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Java Version: JRE7u4 64-bit Description of Problem: Whenever I take damage with a teleport gui open (has happened with power, item, and waterproof teleport pipes), my client goes to dirt screen, then white screen. 13. Title: Automatic Crafting Table MKII Recipe Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Java Version: JRE7u4 64-bit Description of Problem: Trying to craft the new Automatic Crafting Table MKII using the 2nd recipe (Involving the original Automated Crafting Table) does not work. The product blinks momentarily and then disappears. The first recipe using a RP2 filter and gold bars does work, however. Error Messages: n/a Error Log: n/a
  14. 512 mb of ram is scarecely enough to even run the backend for tekkit. I'd say you'll need at least 1 gig, but probably more around 1.5 gigs.
  15. All right. I'll let someone figure out a better (read: automatic) world converter before I screw with it then.
  16. My server is being run by a company called Servercraft. Seeing as how I'm not an expert at running servers, I much prefer to let somebody knowledgeable do everything for me. So, I had one of the Servercraft admins install Tekkit for me. So. Long story short. Am I required to get the admins to update to 3.0.3 before the client updates go out? Or do I have some time on this?
  17. Vanilla minecraft works fine, I even have a special java shortcut for running it with 64-bit: target:"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame start in: "C:\Users\M. Tyson\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin" I'm not sure what could be blocking write access / executables. I only have Microsoft Security Essentials, and whatever came with Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). UAC is disabled, and I tried letting the program through windows firewall (as well as completely disabling the firewall), but that didn't work. I took a cursory glance through properties and couldn't really find anything strange. The batch file worked. java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar technic-launcher-latest.jar nogui pause Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you Thank you thank you thank you.
  18. So I've waited a good while to see if anyone had any ideas, finally gave up waiting. I went and copied my entire .techniclauncher directory from my old harddrive (found some spare sata cables laying around) and put it straight into this new harddrive. Same problem. Apparently it is not creating any logs either. I've tried every version of java I could think of that would be relevant, including jre7, jre7u4, jre6, jre6u32, and jre6u29 (what my old harddrive has), of both the 32-bit and 64-bit varieties of every version. I'd like to note that this all works fine and dandy on my old harddrive. I only installed the operating system on this drive about a week ago. Can anyone try to help me backtrack to what went wrong, if anything? I don't know where to look.
  19. I'll go ahead and point to my thread before my explanation: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,10647.0.html And the previous thread from when I was running windows 7 32-bit and had a similar problem: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,9134.0.html (I tried the same fix, no luck. Note that before I was running tekkit just fine on java 7) Also, I am capable of running vanilla minecraft using java 7, 64-bit just fine. I use the java shortcut with the following info: target:"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame start in: "C:\Users\M. Tyson\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin" Summary: Launching techniclauncher.jar opens a cmd prompt for about a millisecond, then closes it. Nothing else happens. Running techniclauncher.exe opens a window that says "checking launcher version" for about 1/10th of a second, then closes and does nothing. If this thread is detailing a different problem from the one i'm having, please tell me. I'm just trying different things in hopes that they'll work. I have Java 7u4 installed, and Java 6u32 installed. I've tried with just one and then the other. So I put the batch file on my desktop, techniclauncher.exe on my desktop, and created the batch file by literally copy and pasting what has been stated a few times: mkdir %APPDATA%\.techniclauncher\rtemp "C:\program files\java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1G -jar %APPDATA%\.techniclauncher\technic-launcher.jar pause The batch file created a folder on my desktop as the following: C:\Users\M. Tyson\Desktop\Tyson\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\rtemp It did not create the file inside the proper appdata folder located at C:\Users\M. Tyson\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher Note that my username is "M. Tyson". Is my username causing problems? edit: Realized my post is a little hard to read. Launcher/pack Version: latest from http://206.217.207.1/files/TechnicLauncher.exe Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Version of Java: JRE7u4 64-bit / JRE6u32 64-bit Description of Problem: Launching techniclauncher.jar opens a cmd prompt for about a millisecond, then closes it. Nothing else happens. Running techniclauncher.exe opens a window that says "checking launcher version" for about 1/10th of a second, then closes and does nothing. 20. sorry for the multipost. and yes, i've tried running it through java in pretty much every way i could imagine.
  21. I honestly can't tell if the OP was trolling or not. I was laughing too hard at the rest of the thread to pay any real attention
  22. I was up till about 3:00 am reading through the forums trying to figure out how to fix this. Anyone have any ideas?
  23. Tried a few things. 1) Completely uninstalled every version of java on my computer and reinstalled ONLY JRE7 (64-bit), followed by JRE7u4(64-bit). I had to do some shenanigans in the registry (detailed here) afterwards because, upon uninstalling java, my right click > open with menu bugged out. It now works, however I still have the original problem (blank cmd prompt pops up, followed by nothing). 2) Deleted .techniclauncher folder and tried running a fresh download of the .jar file followed by the .exe file. The .jar file literally did nothing (didn't even create the folder again), and the exe only created the folder and the .jar inside it. No other files or folders.
  24. I just got windows 7 64-bit running. Installed jre7 x64, then downloaded the technic launcher (.jar file). When I run it, the cmd prompt pops up for a blink of an eye and disappears, and nothing happens. Tried the .exe file and the very first time I ran it, it said "updating" or something and then closed. When I run it now, it says "checking launcher version" for about a quarter second and then closes. The only file in .techniclauncher is the .jar file. Launcher/pack Version: http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/technic-launcher-latest.jar Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Version of Java: JRE7 64-bit Description of Problem: cmd prompt pops up then closes, followed by nothing Antivirus program: Microsoft Security Essentials Error Messages: n/a Link to pastebin of log: n/a edit1: Realized I forgot to get 7u4 after i made this. Installed it and nothing changed.
