yea if we are adding in how many treasure sites we can loot or exploit in the first 5 days, then I need to turn this into a spoiler topic

how do you guys deal with the first few days of Blightfall, I'm not asking for the fastest but your favorite (which may be the fastest) 1: Favorite starting location 2: Favorite diamond mining level material, & how do you go about obtaining this material 3: how do you make more living space for your early game base 4: First 4 food items you eat more than 5 of 5: whats the first armor peice that you try to get thats not, wood, iron or Promethium 1: I've done all of them but my favorite is the Epsilon the desert, I use alot of sand 2: Blood wood, its a total gamble to get it but I request a good 30-45 rep to try and get it before I give up, its got good states for tools, and I typically carry wood in my inventory anyway for on the spot crafting, and this lets me carry repair material for tools for on the spot repairs. I ussaly try to get fuse wood or dark wood before that to cut down the blood wood tree, and if not a promethium axe/ oureclass axe. 3: glass walls, 2-3 blocks high, then use eternal blooms to clean space. 4: bread, toast, apples, monster jerky 5: travelers boots, cheap way to get the passive step up ability which is really useful

for a stupidly easy,very Early game solution to making a wall, that the taint won't climb over, and you can start sweeping clean of taint with eternal blooms, use normal wooden fences, it works, just be sure to connect each piece in the wall side to side, and not jump corner to corner, taint can grow across corners. to get massive amounts of wood, find a great wood sapling, or 4 jungle saplings. each will easily give you 50+ logs per tree.

Wood armor is the easiest to get, 2nd to that iron, and then some of the Metallurgy armors give different side bonuses as well with a full suit Theres also the Travelers gear from tinkers constructs which is a favorite of mine, but I'll point out 3 peices which help out alot, are are relatively cheap 1st travelers gloves, they have their own item slot in the tinker gear tab in the inventory menu, so they don't compete with another item for that armor slot, 2 they don't do anything until upgraded, to upgrade them, slap them into a Tinkers tool station, and put redstone into them, this gives them a general haste buff to mining. digging, and punching. 2nd travelers belt, Bat man wears a belt like this, it also has its own item slot, this gives you a 2nd hot bar to swap between, with this and some satchels or dollys you can increase your personal storage capacity several times over, 3 travelers boots, now you can choose what boots you like but these are great for early game because they are a cheap way to get the step up ability which is great for saving hunger by reducing the need to jump up stairs and small hills, when running away from a tainted chicken its nice to not have to jump up blocks to climb a slope

this is not a treasure site, this is a mini biome where ores spawn more regularly. Get a tinkers hammer for mining and jam red stone in it to speed it up.

I would suggest mining directly under silverwood trees, or cleared areas, you will need to find eternal blooms to clear taint early on in the game

there is no terrestial nether quartz on Charlie sever, I've found some on my single player map, but none on the server.

you will have a difficult time finding any any tech related metal my suggestions, 1 get a Tinkers hammer for mining, Preferably made of low grade materials, or nether wood, you will need alot of cheap repair materials, and these materials are cheap and easily renewable. and never replace your hammer, don't lose your hammer, getting level ups require alot of exp and time.if you want your hammer to be made of better materials, replace the parts on your old one 1 peice at a time, this way you keep the exp. 2 use to the hammer to dig a stair case down to bed rock, make turns now and again so that its a spiral staircase and you keep a silverwood tree above you all the way to bedrock, this way taint doesn't grow on your stairs, its sucks dying of taint poison walking back up the stairs 3 keep several pieces of your hammers repair material with you at all time, so that when your hammer breaks you can repair it on the spot. 4 make a pick axe with a high mining level, use this only on hard to mine ores. and will help you get more mileage out of it. 5 mine the ores but get the redstone, all of it, and jam that redstone into your hammer on the tool forge/ tool station, this will speed up mining alot. you can also make travelers gloves and jam them full of redstone and it will give haste to many of your actions , mining included. 6 make a excavator, you will need to dig up alot of sand, for more than expanding your bio dome 7 use the Smeltery but upgrade to a induction smelter when you can and use the Sand plus common ore combination to double your ore but also get rich slag, then you can use the rich slag plus rare/ needed ore to Triple the ingot output of things you really want.

perhaps there needs to be some kind of rule of conduct in terms of laying claim to exploration sites, the teleport locations where made to be accessible to all, and in fact you need to be able to sand on or under the silver wood trees to complete a lot of the exploration quest. the teleport locations are the most popular locations to lay claim to and build bases but some people lay claim and completly bar access to these locations preventing other from completing their quest. this kind of behavior should not be tolerated because it ruins the whole questing aspect of the mod pack for players.

Uh ok but I already started playing on Charlie, hope that's cool, posted a ticket about moving servers. but so far pretty sweet

the public server was a blast the first day, but a dome was destroyed by a griefer. and then the eternal blooms disappeared. still alot of fun. looking forward to joining a team on the White list server (already applied)
