It has a slight issue with an in-game store.I'm not sure how to feel about that. So far, it's only cosmetic, but... "it's only cosmetic" is no real excuse for having an in-game store in a premium game. So, y'know.

There's also Ylands that came out recently. I have it, and I've messed about with it. It could be something! It has a survival mode, but it also has a game-building function where you can make your own (mini)games. Here's Keralis playing it:

For OP: Looks like some of your bees (Root Bees?) are missing genomes for some sort of effect for the crossbreeding. You should be posting this in the thread, or on the Pack's page, of the 1.7.10 Pack. It's an issue with the pack, not the launcher. EDIT: Also, very relevant. Not sure how seriously they follow this rule these days, but...

Turns out it's not Biomes O Plenty, but ExtraBiomesXL in Hexxit 2.0.1. And nothing of the sort in Attack of the B-Team, unfortunately. Looking into EBXL to replace BOP now, but otherwise I think I can live without some butterflies.

Guys, I'm not going crazy, am I? There was an official Technic modpack that had Butterfly Mania in it, wasn't there? I swear I played on that had the mod, and it had Biomes O Plenty where the butterflies spawned inside the BOP biomes. Out of the box they don't, so I'd like to know if there's a compatibility mod... but now I can't find the pack. If it turns out it wasn't an official pack I'll simply drop Butterfly Mania from my own pack, but...

Either download the 64-bit Java. Or, if you have that, set more memory to be used by the launcher. You can find that option in the settings Launcher Options.

I kinda want to start building a modpack again. I found one I kinda like, but... it's shit for me. No offence to the creator, but it's got some edits made, and things disabled... lacking some mods... you know how it is. At the same time... I really don't, because... blah. Work. It's bloody annoying, it is.

Unfortunately, I know of no way to use Mojang accounts on the Tekkit Launcher if it doesn't allow them to begin with.

If you tell me what modpacks you want to play, I can tell you whether they're available on the Technic Launcher. Most, if not all, should be available just fine.

Some E3 news has trickled down to me. Genesis: Alpha One: This was already on my radar, but YES OH LORDY YES. I hope we either get it soon, it's in some form of Early Access soon, or if those two options aren't available, it's playable at GamesCom. Fallout 4 VR: Everybody's having an orgasm, and I'm just sitting here worrying about how you move about. Also, what about the perks? VATS? Ehhhh... I love VR, but I'm not sure about Fallout 4 VR. Skyrim VR: Announced for PSVR... heard nothing about Vive. That's silly. Also, not interested for the same reason as Fallout 4 VR. I mean, it'll probably work better, what with it being more hands-on, but still... Monster Hunter: Subtitle-I-Can't-Remember on PC: Ooooh... I always loved the idea of Monster Hunter. I remember playing a demo on PS2, and loving it. But I could never find a copy, and when I did find copies for sequels... it was a Ninty exlusive, and I severely disliked Monster Hunter on the Wii. So, I'm quite hopeful for this one! Can't remember anything else, really. These pretty much stood out.

Minecraft sucks now. How do you manually install modpacks these days? Any tutorial I've seen is either for older versions, or it suggests using a Twitch app or Curse app, or lord-knows-what-else app. I just want to try a goddamned modpack without installing an app I'll never use again, dammit.

So, HTC VIVE? Fucking amazing. It's got some minor niggles, but they're of the kind you work around. Like, you can't use your eyes to look around very well. If it's in the corner of your eye, you need to move your head to look at it. But it's so damned cool to just walk around and "touch" things.

Just had a fairly hilarious occurrence in Rome: Total War's Grand Campaign. I'm at war with the Greeks, and they'd approached me to broker for peace. The requested a ceasefire, and demanded I gave back Syracuse which I'd taken from them a few turns earlier. Not wanting to do that, obviously, I made a counter-offer. A ceasefire, but they give me Thermon. I did that knowing they wouldn't go for it, we'll go another few years of war, I utterly trounce them, et cetera. They went for it. Of course, now I have a town that's completely isolated and will likely fall within the year, especially as it's surrounded by quite some troops. But I own Thermon. Moral of this story: Do everything you can with as much arrogance as possible. It pays off. (don't listen to that)
