Same advice goes. Check your server to see which version you are running, and up- or downgrade in the launcher. If it's the exact same version, I'm afraid I must bow out and let somebody more knowledgeable step it. But go and check first.

If you've got Farming Simulator 2013 on there (which is actually quite fun if you just want to relax after a hard day of shooting zombies, beating up people or otherwise intensive games), might I suggest Train Simulator 2013? Same story. Just a relaxing drive along the country side behind the controls of a train of your choice. Also, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. If you've any interest in Star Wars, these are basically must-plays.

You have the wrong version of Tekkit, it would appear. Try asking the people who run or play on the server which version of Tekkit they are running. Once you have that, go into options in the launcher and select the right version. You should be able to join then.

I'm no expert, but try again with Avast's shields down. Possibly, Avast is blocking the download.

Basically, it'd be "easier" to create a completely new Minecraft-clone with all the Tekkit features built in than go through the hassle that Chefsbrian described. And easier is in parentheses because it'd be a hell of a job.

What version of the ICBM mod (for which version of Minecraft) did you download? I have a strong feeling that may lead to the answer how to fix your problem.

Well, let's start with you giving us some information. What did you do that made the mods disappear? Are you playing with a standard Tekkit installation, or did you add/remove mods? Furthermore, how is it possible the standard Tekkit mods aren't there when you re-install? Log in and they should be installed automatically.

Rules of politeness have little to do with common sense. If a thread's been dormant for a good three months, one may assume it's dead. As in, there's little to add to it, unless the post you're adding suddenly cures cancer, or something. If this is the second time you've had to clarify you're new and don't know the rules, then maybe it's time to learn how to restrain yourself from clicking the "reply" button and go and read the rules first. But what do I know? I'm fairly new too.

I would suggest going over to the Faction plugin's forums, since they'd probably be in a much better position and with a much greater knowledge base to help you. But you already did that, didn't you? That's why you're here, obviously. Anyway, here's some random thoughts: is the plugin compatible with the current version of Minecraft/Bukkit? (realize you tried with recent and previous versions of Factions. Still... most common reason plugins don't work is version incompatibility. That's why I'm asking.) Is the plugin compatible with (any of the mods included with) Tekkit? Did you install the plugin properly? Are there any dependencies you failed to install?
