  1. But that's none of his business anymore, Kocken! Notch, honour to His Beard and Hat, has... kind of stopped working on anything, last I heard. You'll need to bother Jens for that.
  2. Great idea! Go tell the mod developers of Dimensional Doors and Mystcraft! Though, I doubt the Mystcraft guy will be in for this, since Mystcraft's mechanics is based on an existing game series.
  3. You go to google and you type the name of the city or town you live in and add the words: computer lessons Or, if English isn't your first language, in your own language. I think this might be the best course of action for you right now.

    Lost Files

Holy run-on sentence, Batman! Paragraphs, lad! They were invented for a reason! As for the problem at hand: Try deleting and reinstalling the Technic launcher. That's the only way I know that can get you all the standard modpacks back.
  5. Man, you all doin' it wrong! I'm fucking irons and pumpin' wimmin WHILE bein' on here every day!
  6. You'd be surprised. TrainCraft Terms and Condition: Emphasis mine. Not entirely applicable here, but still. Basically, if you want to make a new modpack including or built around TrainCraft... sucks to be you!
  7. I'm going to be merciful, "kelzie83". (what's with the quotes? You're free to just call me Melfice.) That number you put behind IP, is NOT your IP address. It's the port you (probably) opened. Now, I realize that nowadays you can join a server by simply typing its name (or possibly an url, I don't remember), but still. People are going to be mighty confused if they're not that well known with joining servers.
  8. DId you edit the IP address, Jay? 'Cause if not, that's hilarious.
  9. You start by not doing ^^^. They're attracted to pointy things! After that, play on Peaceful difficulty.
  10. I've spent so long creating a plane that could go hypersonic, I'd forgotten how to build a rocket and lander that could go to the Mün. Fixed that today. It's not pretty, and it takes AGES to accelerate to the bloody thing (it's using the nuclear engine to transfer), but it got there, and my lander performed beyond expected. Even though I forgot to install the RCS nozzles. The lack of RCS nozzles unfortunately means that I won't be able to rendezvous with the return stage, still in orbit around the Mün. Screenshots later, possibly. I forgot to take them... Old Post: If you want I can create a screenshot of my heavy launcher stage (Ambition). Unless you're launching something unreasonable heavy, Ambition should be able to get you into space with fuel to spare. EDIT: But that's really where your problem lies, it seems. You need to think in two steps: Payload and lifter/launcher/whatever you want to call it. You only ever ignite the payload's rockets when you're in the vacuum of space. Preferably even when you're in a stable parking orbit around Kerbin.
  11. I'm not entirely sure what this system is called (maybe it's the molten salt thing mentioned earlier), but having to build a multi-block tower and separate mirrors would be nice. It'd be fairly expensive but powerful enough to last you from late early-game through mid-game, but once you manage to get a reliable magmatic or bio-fuel set-up it would be more of a back-up generator. It's not pulling its weight compared to the rest, but it's nice to have around to catch when your engines run out of fuel.
  12. No worries. I liked the idea of this mod, so it'd be sad if it didn't happen. Even if it only ends up with a working test version, like the one you're shooting for now, it'd be good enough for me.
  13. I realize it's a bit of a necro, but how's this going? Are you still working on this, Lethosos?
  14. Applied Energistics has a manual grindstone that allows you to grind down ores into dust as well. You need three Quartz dust and a wooden gear and some stone and cobblestone to make it. I realize it's just one small step into the whole chain you need to get those conduits, but still. It's a quick way to get a manual Pulverizer.
  15. Really? Because the guys over at the ISS experience "night" 16 times per 24 hours, if I recall correctly.
  16. (Original?) Problem: Solution to (original?) problem: I don't see how the solution adds to the problem. Unless you're so consumed with cleaning up after the mess you're making that you can't spare a few minutes mining for the resources needed to help you fix the mess you're making.

    Adding Mods

Most of the mods will have detailed instructions for installing, but generally mods just go in the "Mods" folder, yes. Some mods change the way the world generates, for instance by adding ores or other blocks. For these you need to travel to chunks that have not yet been visited, or simply create a new world.
  18. 1) Create a Magma Crucible. Melt the cobblestone down to lava. You can then use this lava, in combination with water, in the Igneous Extruder to create cobblestone (useless, of course), smooth stone or obsidian. 2) Create a small pit of lava and have a buildcraft pipe hang over it. Items go through the pipe and end up in your lava pit.
  19. Tekkit Lite is on 1.4.7, so Thaumcraft 3 for 1.5.1 naturally won't work.
  20. That's not true, SXScarecrow. YogBox isn't supported anymore, but it's still available for download.
  21. If you didn't want a response, you shouldn't have posted.
  22. Jeez guys. Would you work during your lunch? I sure as hell won't. So leave that poor luncher alone and do something else in the meantime.
  23. Or, you could just make an add-on to the PureBDCraft texture pack like asked and NOT be a dick. I mean, it's not like it's extremely difficult to merge two .zips. But, y'know. Whatever you like.
  24. I have a better one: Tekkit: Yes, IC2 and RP are gone, shut up about it! EDIT: Uh, just to be clear. That was a joke. Not commentary to anybody reading or participating in this thread.
  25. Quite a whiles back, there was an elevator mod. I think it worked by teleporting the player WRONG! It actually moved the blocks and player, but it might be worth it to hunt the modder down and see if he's interested in brainstorming with you. Unfortunately, "Quite a whiles back, there was an elevator mod" is all I can give you in terms of information. Don't know the modder's name, nor the name of the mod. Though I'd hazard a guess and say "elevator mod". EDIT: Found it! http://www.minecraftdl.com/dynamic-elevators-mod/ Now, this is for 1.4.5, but see if you can't get a hold of ironclad49er. EDIT AGAIN: http://slimevoid.net/dynamic-elevators-changelog/ That's the new maintainers/developers of the mod. And it turns out this version is for 1.5.2 even!
