  1. You need to use your Minecraft or Mojang account.
  2. Questions about Tekkit Main (Space Tekkit) are best answered in the Tekkit Main section. However, loading fuel requires a machine (Fuel Loader, I believe) in the version of GalactiCraft we use. As for the memory to allocate? No more than 2 Gigs. Minecraft becomes unstable when you give it more. If Minecraft still won't run smoothly with 2 gigs, try a 32x texture pack. Also keep in mind that Hexxit features heavy world generation which may result in choppy gameplay while new chunks load. Again, a smaller texture pack may relieve that issue in some minor way.
  3. Check the version of the Optifine you're trying to download. If you're going with that Ultra D1 download, I guarantee you're going to find it not working. EDIT: Actually, it might work. But Hexxit is on 1.5.2 now.
  4. I don't fully understand how it works, but basically it's an online repository where developers can upload software. Any version is uploaded there including, for a lack of a better explanation, "alpha" and "beta" builds (the experimentals Vivacity mentioned) of the next version of the software.
  5. That is true, but the video I linked earlier shows that we have the technology these days to skip the huge version. It's not perfect, but it works and just needs refinement.
  6. Go to http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/list and search for a modpack. At the top of each page you'll find an url. When you click on "add modpack" in the launcher it's asking for that url you found in your browser.
  7. I have no doubt they're aware of Technic and possibly also FTB over at Mojang. The thing is, though: Acknowledgment is Endorsement. I know that isn't true. You know that isn't true. A LOT of people know that isn't true. It just takes a few idiots to believe that it IS true, however, and you've got a shitstorm a-brewin'.
  8. I do not care. It's one of the companies that's working on making an Iron Man suit possible. They could call the torso piece GLaDoS for all I care, as long as I can be Iron Man. (But more than that, it really is an amazing piece of technology that can have incredible applications in medical situations.)
  9. Yes, show them you're not a stupid newbie by... only being tangentially on-topic? And, on top of that, not being correct in some points? (Also, here's a tip: Go read some of your old posts. You'll quickly find out why you have that picture and who did it.)
  10. I'm also interested in the HAL Robotsuits. These look like they're going to be of tremendous help all over. I believe they're also working on torso units.
  11. I'm gonna see it when it comes out, but I can already get annoyed by how the mechs are controlled by two or three pilots at the same time. I mean, how does that work, even? Is it a fail-safe for when one pilot gets knocked out? Is it because one human doesn't have enough "processor power"? And how does it work when one person fucks up? ARGH! Other than that, mindless Godzilla smashing? Yes please!
  12. Basically what TokiWartooth said, yeah. EDIT: I realize I could have, maybe, been a bit more eloquent, but... hindsight breaks the straw that makes the bucket fall for it again, know what I'm saying?
  13. Invest in some duck repellent. While you're doing that, how about you give us some more info. System information and the likes. How much RAM you've got assigned to the pack. That kind of goodness. Mind, I have no idea what I would do with that information, but that's where the smart guys comes in. I really just deal with the ducks.
  14. You have. And they're dev builds. We want a public release. The kinds of releases of which the devs actually say "Hey, we're confident in this build!".
  15. He had a mental condition as well! Don't forget you have to be considerate of that too.
  16. Ah. Then I stand well corrected, and any and all apologies to the authors of the AMCO pack should they have read that. You can put down the pitchforks. Keep the torches. Barbeque!
  17. Isn't AMCO kind of hailed as "The Pirate's Technic"? But beyond that, what is this message even about? We have spambots that are more cohesive than this.
  18. You could try watching playthroughs on YouTube, I guess? The wiki is still a work in progress, obviously. Stick around, it might be of more help later on. Or, if you learn something, you could contribute!
  19. What Magicthize means to say is, yes. There are beta and indev versions of IC². There have been for over half a year. Note, however, that there hasn't been a stable release? Yeah. Until somebody releases a stable, public release it's safe to say IC² is dead. What you're seeing is a desperate attempt to keep it alive, for a given value of alive. It's like keeping a brain-dead person on life-support because "miracles happen, right!?".
  20. The ores spawn that way so that you spend less time mining and more time adventuring.
  21. Briefly turn off your anti-virus and firewall. When you're connected and playing the game, turn them back on.
  22. Then you should either change that back in the configs, or not sleep until a meteor's fallen.
  23. Requirements that are being broken left and right regardless, as I understand it. But it's a principles thing, I'm sure.
  24. You should probably ask the creator of the Modern Warfare pack. Fair chance is, though, that they thought that IC² had no place in the pack. Which is a more than fair enough thought to have, I feel. And you can probably add the mod in yourself, yes. If the pack is for 1.4.7, there's a release of IC² that you can just put in the mod folder, and it might work. If it doesn't, there's probably some mod ID issues you can fix. If the pack is for anything above 1.4.7, you're out of luck. There's no public release of IC² for any version of Minecraft above 1.4.7. There are some beta releases, but they're probably full of bugs and glitches.
