  1. No guarantees, but yes. It should keep working. There may be border-cases where Forge removed or changed a thing that a mod was relying on, but in general you're good to update.
  2. Also, make sure you check the installation instructions on Flans mod. You'll note that you won't get content from Flans mod alone. You need content packs that have special installation instructions.
  3. In theory, updating your Forge installation doesn't mean your mods that require an older Forge install won't run anymore.
  4. It doesn't have one. Hexxit is a pack that comes standard with the Technic launcher.
  5. It's best of you just stick with the recommended version, since that one will have fewer bugs. If you must have the latest because of new features in updates mods, or whatever reason, be aware that the build might be unstable and may crash or corrupt your world.
  6. I would assume that any work-capable suit (protective and enhanced strength) would be work-site only and need a permit; much like you need a permit to drive a fork-lift, which you would (normally) not be allowed to take home. Medical suits I would imagine need a prescription, but beyond that they should be okay in daily life. After all, they shouldn't be able to do more than an average human would be able to.
  7. Case. In. Point. Appollo, it would be fairly prudent for you to go and check the rules for a few seconds. Useless, content-less posts tend to be frowned upon by the moderators. As for your second post, I agree with you, Kocken. As much as I joke about being Iron Man, the videos I linked to earlier in this thread intrigue me more on the medical and industrial side of things than anything else.

  9. I have an idea what the problem might be. Evan, are you trying to join Tekkit or Hexxit (or even otherwise modded) servers using the normal 1.6 Minecraft launcher? Or maybe trying to join 1.5.x servers with a 1.6 version?
  10. Kethane for one is broken, yeah. Chatterer still work just fine though! Fuel Balancer as well, I think.

  12. Have a look at TAC Fuel Balancer as well! It's almost essential for shuttles and other aircraft since the mod draws fuel from all tanks, maintaining the balance of the ship.

  14. And I had a truck carrying an orange tank full of fuel, travelling at about 200 kilometers an hour towards KSC2, having just picked up a converted Kethane load. And then I started a new save, because I updated a mod or two. The mods are amazing, indeed. (not meant sarcastically! Genuinely so!) I should start playing seriously again. Hmm... it might be interesting to get a community space station going, or something. Everybody designs a module and sends that ship to a person, who then flies it into orbit and assembles it all. Could be fun!
  15. Unless the Power Converters mod has some extraordinary terminology, a consumer would not produce power that could be provided to a bridge. Nor would a producer consume it. EDIT: Actually, I'm wrong, aren't I? The consumer, as a part of the converter set-up as a whole, takes the power from the energy source, while the producer (as part of the entire set-up) takes that energy from the bridge and distributes it on? I should note that I am not at all familiar with the Power Converters mod.

  17. Not sure, but I think you do need an alternate farm on the side for this to work. I've not set up farms like this, but I would imagine that, to keep things balanced, the mobs require more essence than they give. But again, I've never set these up, and I'm not too familiar with the mechanics.
  18. Did you intend to make the modpack for Minecraft version 1.4.7? If so, did you download the right versions of the mods included?
  19. You need to log into the Technic launcher with your Minecraft or Mojang account. This, obviously, requires having bought MInecraft. But you knew that, of course.
  20. Yeah, it seems there are several classes missing in the minecraft or modpack jars. Did you try to install a mod, and did you accidentally delete bits of the jar? If that isn't the case, try downloading again as Maxis has suggested. Also, try downloading this pack: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/silesiuscraft It's my own pack, and I know for sure it should work. EDIT: Mind you, it'll stick for a while on the Mojang screen. This is normal, just keep it running.
  21. Are you sure you're using the right password? Or even spelled the account name right? When did you buy Minecraft?
  22. Try deleting the launcher and downloading it again. Sounds like something got borked. If that doesn't work, I'm sure there'll be smarter people who can help.
  23. I cannot tell you what might be wrong then. Like I said, I have no problems. Try deleting the launcher and reinstalling.
  24. What are you trying to download? Official packs or Platform packs? If it's Platform (ie. user-made) packs, try verifying it's actually with other packs as well. If so, turn off your anti-virus and/or firewall for a short while. It may be they're interfering with the download. If it's just the one or two packs you tried, it may be that they hit the download limit. I happen to have no problem downloading packs, so it's either you or the host. If it's official packs... I don't know what to say there.
  25. Wither skulls are pretty rare, yeah. A 1/40 drop chance.
