Its an issue with the Nether Ores mod itself. If you mine an ore block while its going to explode you get that broken tin. It will have the texture of whatever ore it was originally, but it will say its tin. However, it won't stack with 'real' nether tin, and it won't smelt or do anything. It is a broken ore that was set to explode, and you mined it instead. | Like I said, its the mod itself and has nothing to do with Tekkit or the bukkit port or anything, this behavior happens in SSP as well.

There is a big fat sticky on the board you go to with Tekkit issues.

We'd gladly accept any more help, absolutely. Agelian specifically has been waiting for someone to talk to, the rest of us just stare blankly when he starts talking about java this and hash that.

Don't install it in minecraft.jar, install it in modpack.jar. As for block ID conflicts this is a common problem and as Jay? suggested, google would be your friend in that regard.

Yeah you aren't supposed to play Tekkit single player. I mean, you can if you want, but there is zero support or room for it if you do. Why would you do that anyway? Makes no sense.

You don't need to do anything at all. Simply put your texture pack in .techniclauncher/technicssp/texturepacks (or /tekkit). If you've done texturepacks for Minecraft before its exactly the same.

We're brutally strict because we need to be, especially if you compare 'competing' forums.

You need to run the dev build of Tekkit to connect to whatever server you are trying to play on. Launcher, tekkit selected. Option, manual select, 2.1.0 | Latest, select. Ok. Now try.

Re: Massive FPS Drop With Tekkit... Updated with F3 Picture Try a thing. .techniclauncher/tekkit/config/IC2.cfg Open that with your favorite text editor. Find the line "soundsEnabled=true" and change it to "soundsEnabled=false" and see if that improves things.
