Just for Reference here, I am also using a GTX550TI with 1GB of VRAM, I have 0 problems running anything I ask fo it. I use BETA Drivers tho so sometimes my game goes from 100+ fps to around 40, so I would rollback your drivers maybe? Just giving my thoughts here, seeing I run the same vcard :P

Ah, but I wouldn't trust half of my players to be able to build their own mod-pack...lol -

Sorry but, how would that help? The Server Side versions still would be for 1.4.2...having multiple MC folders wouldn't do anything... -
MCPC 1.4.5: ForgeBukkit Lives On!
TheSpoonyOne replied to TheSpoonyOne's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Its not a matter of forgebukkit being ready for 1.3/1.4, it all depends on if the mods are ported or not ;P And you cannot run a 1.2.5 FTB server that would allow users to join with the FTB launcher, all the mods are undated for 1.4.2. They will not work with 1.2.5, so when you have to downgrade the versions, players cannot connect with newer versions So you might as well make your own mod-pack if you want them to do that -
MCPC 1.4.5: ForgeBukkit Lives On!
TheSpoonyOne replied to TheSpoonyOne's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
1. Feed the Beast is awesome, but it isn't forgebukkit! That means when MC updates --> ForgeMC Updates --> Mods Update --> FTB Updates, compare this to Tekkit witch is ForgeBukkit, MC Updates --> ForgeMC Updates --> Bukkit Updates --> ForgeBukkit Updates --> Mods Update --> Mods Must be Ported --> Tekkit Can Update. 2. ForgeBukkit has skipped 1.3, Now, I have no idea if "Tekkit 4" will be using this updated version of ForgeBukkit for 1.4.2, but if so, its 1.4.2 lol 3. I don't play Tekkit for the default items in MC anyway, so I don't really care what version it is LOL -

Tekkit 4! Wooo! .XD -
This plugin is for CB 1.2.5-R2.0, you need 1.2.5-R4.0 or above (Anything Above is not always going to work also) except anything using 1.4.2-RX.X.

There are now 4 "BETA" Builds of this ForgeBukkit! v5 Implements Craftbukkit 1.4.2 r0.1 Beta Build, this build has been labeled "Broken" on the bukkit.org site. I would suggest using v7 or v8, for it uses Craftbukkit 1.4.2 r0.2 Beta Build! Lets work to keep this topic alive for hope that this version stays popular and work is continued! -

Something has changed, there wasn't going to be ANY versions of ForgeBukkit, now there are. If you check out my newest link http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.4.2 They have started porting over some key mods, and seeing that tekkit uses some really popular mods, they will all be ported faster than you think ' Also, I could make you a technicpack for 1.4.2 right now....Feed the Best uses a lot of the same mods, and its 1.4.2...Yes, some mods are not updated(and will not be), but you do know that the team here can change the mod list anytime they wish... What do you mean "bent"? UPDATE: IC2 Has been ported for this ForgeBukkit 1.4.2 > With 3 addons Check my last link! -

This isn't Craftbukkit, who cares about normal minecraft. We want Forgebukkit, not just Forge ("ForgeMinecraft"). -

We have here, something promising! ForgeBukkit for 1.4.2 and......wait for it....1.4.5!! What does this mean? Well, this definitely doesn't mean that forge is ready to go and everything is "right as rain," but what you should take from this is: The Community is trying! As almost everyone knows forgebukkit was declared dead on its site and here on the technicpack.net. Now when I saw this post, all it was to me; was drama...Sure forge can't be easily updated anymore (for now that is ) but this post saying "Forge is dead" and it is doomed was really just a huge waste of time. Now, just for the people that want to know "Why doesn't tekkit update, you have the links to 1.4.5 forgebukkit right here!!" ....well there is one huge problem, well maybe not "problem" but "annoyance"/"task" for our lovely moders to take on....porting. Oh yessss, porting. Wouldn't it just be a perfect world if you could just update forgebukkit with MC and the mods magically work? *please sit back and imagine :DDDD* WAKE THE F### UP MAN!!! That's not gonna happen, ever, so for now (and ever) we have to port the required mods....one...by...one....by...one o.o Can I make my own version of tekkit with this? This isn't any type of permission, I'm speaking theatrically. You can try! (As long as you get permissions, ect.) Feel free to go to the links section and check out the MCPC site. The More people that get online and port mods, the better! Also, just requesting the mods will put much needed pressure on current moders to get the people what they want LINKS(Not Downloads): Also be sure to follow all forum rules while visiting MCPC Minecraft Port Central: http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/ Forge Bukkit for 1.4.2 (Ported Mod List at Link): http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.4.2 Forge Bukkit for 1.4.5 (Ported Mod List at Link): http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.4.5 Request a port: http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/index.php?board=5.0 Stay Updated with 1.4.5 ForgeBukkit: http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/index.php?topic=4256.msg23000#msg23000 Un-Official Ports: Minecraft Port Central Un-Official (1.4.2/5): http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/index.php?board=3.0

Disconnected.overflow help!!!!
TheSpoonyOne replied to Thecheatgamer1's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
I think this is a problem when the server has a buildcraft machine dropping items on the ground. I remember having this issue back when tekkit was in 2.x but I can't quite remember how I fixed it. I would see how many entities you have in the world (If you have essentials, use /gc) then if its over 3k-4k use /remove items 900000 (Just a really high, random number will work) Hope you get this worked out man! -
Is this what a corrupt chunk looks like?
TheSpoonyOne replied to CryshalRocks's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Chunkster DOES NOT WORK on tekkit servers. Grab worldedit (I would use this version, Its worldguard but comes with WorldEdit: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/tekkit-3-0-4-worldguard-fixes-inside.9223/) Select over the chunks use //expand vert then //regen That should help you out a bit :D -

TheSpoonyOne replied to HawkEye_77's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Change this To This Also, make sure you have this: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-download-432154.html Installed. -
I want to rage at you so hard. Lets review this, this WorldGuard is made for tekkit. WorldGuard REQUIRES WorldEdit. By this fact, we can infer that this version of WolrdEdit works with tekkit. Enjoy .....newb o.o loljk
-
Always read the stickys man Yes it had WorldEdit to before you say "I wanted worldedit newb."

Hello everyone, just to start off, my name is Kyle McQueen and I am the Owner of New World Servers. Ranked 26th on Tekkit Server List, and I host a simi-popular (around 30-60 players) PvP/Greifing/Faction Tekkit Server. I have been doing this since 2.1 Tekkit was Released, and have loved working on the server and making Tekkit a fun part of some peoples lives Now that you know that, as I said I have been running this tekkit server for a while now and as my life as a server owner goes on, I notice nothing but a decrease in tekkit stability and actual performance from tekkit. I haven't ever complained about it, until now. Why? because even tho there are a lot of errors with tekkit, the group here works hard to put it together for our use. Also, because tekkit will prob never update again. Now to the issue I have lol As everyone knows tekkit has its hiccups and errors every now and again. If you don't have the strongest VPS/Dedicated Server to run tekkit, you might as well go back to bukkit. I understand this. But lately, tekkit has been nothing BUT errors and hiccups. I like to think that I know plenty about running a tekkit server, I get the plugins required to ban items, I patch my mods with all the user made fixes for all them lovely bugs, but still tekkit can't just run like a nice bukkit server. This really disappointing to me because as 3.0.X was released, I was excited! Thinking to myself "This and that bug will be fixed, this will work now and that wont do that." And after using and setting up the servers, I noticed "This was still doing that, that bug seemed to be worse now and that is new!" Sorry for getting a little of track, but the error I have with tekkit now, is tekkit itself. I think its time for the Technicpack team to take a last look at tekkit, add the user-made bug fixes that work, add pre-installed plugins (Like they used to) and TEST each mod, one by one. Adding the mod, doing as much as you can with it to the point the server is crying for help () and then, using that knowledge, limit what other mods can be added to the list. It seems almost as if, the team just makes sure the server launches and if it does, updates. I mean no disrespect, you guys have more on your minds than tekkit, but I think this last update should be the only tekkit that can be left alone like a bukkit server. This is all thoughts I have gathered over the months of running my servers, sorry if they are a little out of order. Thanks for Reading :)
