technic forum is currently my favorite minecraft fourm. for one, you are allowed to bash idiots as much as you want, similar to MATY(not minecraft). also, the stupid out of place posts are quickly moved to the whale box, where we can poke and prod at them as much as we want! another, is that the admins and mods are AWESOME. i have never seen such unfriendly and gibberish speaking admins (besides JM Pescado, he is a whack job), and that is what makes them so awesome. they don't hesitate to be total assholes to anyone

exactly! Also, i do not see the difference between vanilla minecraft under linux, and modded minecraft under linux

another good idea would be to be able to save a current MC directory that has mods not a part of technic into a separate modpack, imagine the possibilities

Re: UPDATE FAILED ISSUE once you get the current patch up and running, perhaps you could improve it so it can support unknown minecraft versions by using a code that uses this format: if minecraft ver = known, then chkMD5, else, then attempt backdate if chkMD5 < 1.1, then backdate, else, if, chkver == 1.1, then continue, else, then update

do not touch your working version, and wait until the launcher is updated. You may end up nuking both if you attempt to fix your work one.

the inventory "bug" is because of a stuck shift key. try tapping bot hof your shifts, one at a time. i also have the texture bug, but i have not found a solution. It seems to be related to debian-linux.

IMPORTING A 1.1 .JAR WILL DO NOTHING. THE LAUNCHER WILL SEE IT IS OUTDATED AND SPAZ OUT. That was in caps for a reason, as it is important, so people will notice it.

it isn't really an error, more just inabilaty to support 1.2.3 yet, and can't backdate them because it gets confused

the launcher is not for 1.2.3 yet, and attempts to download the files, thinks they got corrupted, downloads them again, repeats 3 times, until you get : UPDATE FAILED

Well, I recently reinstalled my build, and it nuked my java install. I got vanilla minecraft working, but when i run technic launcher, it seems to work, then whitescreens after i log in. I HAVE ALREADY TRIED ALL THE STEPS IN THE FAQ PAGE, THANKS FOR ASKING!
