  1. The best seed would be for me where I have a 20x20 chunk Plains island in the sea with small 2x2 chunk islands with every other biome. Now only if a RP volcano wouldn't spawn on these islands, but in the sea aswell.
  2. You can also pump the lava from the surface directly into a geothermal generator or some tanks. You don't need to spend lots of pipes and/or wires. And if it is a big lavalakw, it starts to pump the source blocks at somewhere else than the point where the pump hits the lava. Try pumping lava in the nether and you'll see how the BC pump works.
  3. Lets all just wait for EE3 to come and then you'll think if it's OP or not, since lots of stuff are going to change. Getting a philosopher's stone won't be easy anymore then. And I bet it WILL stay in Technic.

  5. Is there maybe a way to give items with a custom damage level? Perhaps [laserID]:1? Then it is fully charged up and you still see the green bar.
  6. I see some devs and Direwolf20 using it on their secret server lets play, but so far it seems awesome. New gates and a hopper. And back on topic, I would like to have the mods for SMP, so whenever I get my own PC and if my little brother has the mood to buy minecraft (I'm not sharing it with him, it's my own account and no-one elses!), I can set up a custom modded server for us two to play on. And man, I'll beat him with my automatic factory while he breeds animals and plays with a small farm.

  8. A diamond is the hardest material in existence. You can break a diamond block with a simple iron pickaxe.
  9. I can do that with Logistics pipes in Singleplayer and with normal pipes in multiplayer. It requires lots of steps and resources to make one solar panel though.
  10. One player can hold 2304 cubic meters of land in his inventory and still run and jump. Now if you look at the material and it's weight that the player is carrying...

  14. Well, if you are on a Windows, type in in the search bar %appdata%, go to your .techniclauncher/tekkitsmp/config/NEI.cfg file and you can change it there. If you don't know how to, copy-paste the contents of that config file here and I will tell you what you have to change.

  17. Most mods already have ported over to use FML if they required Forge before. IndustrialCraft 2, BuildCraft 3, Equivalent Exchange 2, RedPower 2... All of those major mods require Forge and if they want to continue to use Forge, they must use FML now, which they do now. Now they don't require modloader, modloaderMP and maybe audiomod. It is all builtin in FML already. So whenever minecraft updates, MCP gets updated, then the API's get updated and finally if the modders want it, they update the mods.
  18. I'm mainly talking about Forge and FML. It sucks though that the modding API isn't in 1.3 :/.
  19. Frames can't turn blocks yet, only move them right and left, up and down and back and forward. So making a drawbridge that falls down can't be made with Frames. So a portcullis can be made, since it doesn't turn around. It only moves up and down.
  20. How do you install it? I had installed it just fine before. Just drag all the .class files in SPC (don't use the installer, just the normal .zip) into the modpack.jar and place WorldEdit into your bin.
  21. Nope, you're right on that. It doesn't emit light. The condenser however does.
  22. The only abilities the Alchemical Chest can do is when you place certain power items in it. Other than that it has no powers on it's own (maybe it's a light source).
  23. It also depends on if the mods have to port over to a new API. The big mods have ported over to FML (No not fuck my life, Forge modloader!) and now they don't require Modloader, modloaderMP and audiomod. Now that they only require 1 API, the most mods won't have much trouble updating I guess.
  24. Tekkit is maybe updated a week after ALL of the mods have been updated. But then just the development build for it has started. It depends, if the mods have become imcompatible with their previous versions (looks at EE in Technic 6 to 7)
  25. Tunnel bores are from Railcraft. I'm pretty sure that CAN mine it, but they won't pick it up. However, if you link up a storagecart behind the tunnelbore, it will place the mined resources in there instead. I'm not sure if the Railcraft version I'm describing is in Tekkit.
