Lol seems to me that about 80% of minecraft users are like that. You'll get no argument from me. I have signs up in my spawn area that say don't ask for op or mod and yet I get at least one every other day asking for it 5 seconds after they join the server.

Any eta on when 3.11 will be recommended for clients? I'm not upgrading my server for the very reason these guys have posted with this problem. I don't want to have to explain to 1000 users how to select the dev build. Hell 20% of the users connecting to my server can't even figure out the reason they can't get on it is because it's tekkit let alone try to explain to them how to manually choose a specific build...on top of that.

Figure out what version your server is running and use it. Contact your server admins. You need to be on the same version as the server or you'll get that error.

really this is a derp...i mean come on. Your server obviously updated to the latest version and your client didn't because 3.11 isn't considered "recommended" build as of yet. It was probably posted on your server's website if they have one, if they don't you should play more often on the server to communicate better with your server admins/owners. If you go back to a 3.04 server, you may also need to roll back your client off the manual build option.

Yes clearly tekkit should not be supporting multiple world servers because it pretty much breaks everything in them when multiworld plugins are being used. Course now I need to know how to setup a tutorial so that when players die they don't spawn at the tutorial but they spawn at the central spawn point unless they haven't completed he tutorial...ugh simple stuff that is so easy with multiworld...

Ram is not the issue. Guys, what's happening is when one user explores an area, it creates those chunks up to what they explored. After a server reset if someone explores beyond where the first person explored then it uses a different seed to generate the edge of the previously max explored area from before it reset. You get these annoying cliffsides of different biomes. I have areas where the ocean literally is butted up against a ravine and the ocean is being held out of the ravine magically for some reason. I use multiverse on beastnode also. The likelihood of his ram and mine both being screwed up (along with anyone else using multiworld plugins and tekkit) is highly unlikely. I'm also not using NoLagg due to the fact it should be called "addLagg".

I have this issue also. Multiple world files, every world does it. Even flatworld does it except it's flat. It'll generate a random biome in the middle of the world that only fits ONE chunk. I've had a snow biome load in the flat world in a single chunk that didn't get explored by a user prior to going to it. Totally weird. Does this only happen with multiworld plugins? WTF is wrong with multiworld plugins and tekkit...FOR REAL?? IC2 rotation of machines with multi-world...now this too?! I'm starting to think that tekkit is not designed to support multi-world...you guys need to get this multiworld stuff fixed. Get rid of the code or implement a mulitworld code directly into tekkit and stop relying on a plugin to allow it because the plugins are breaking it epically...but WE WANT MULTIWORLD SUPPORT!

no neither was I. I'm not too keen on hearing about it myself. I wrote a mod for another game a long time ago and people took the code and did some fancy work on it and totally wrecked my mod before. Sounds to me like this guy is having a simliar issue since these guys at MCPC are jacking up his code and then people go to his site and whine about it to him. I feel for the guy really. We need to go to the people who are messing up the code and talk with them about fixing the issue tho. Post over there at the link I provided and maybe we can get this issue moved up to a higher priority fix if we have enough people complain about it.

IC2 guys aren't the ones to yell at. I've finally wrapped my head around this whole thing... Minecraft Port Central are the guys making this development from IC2 compatible with Tekkit. They're aware of the problem but have no clue how to fix it because the IC2 guys' code is weird or something. The guy heading up the IC2 port for bukkit / tekkit is muCkk. He's the guy you need to whine at about this bug but I doubt it'll do any good. Offer up help and notes might be more productive for it. We really need to get muCkk and the IC2 guys together to talk about the code, but from what I gather it's not a sanctioned port, it's more like the MCPC guys are stealing the code and the IC2 guys don't like it much but they're not stopping them, but they're also not supporting their work. So we're kinda screwed until muCkk can figure it out.

What were you testing me or something? I know yml files are config files. I figured you meant bukkit in general. Either way it's not an issue with bukkit. I got a response on that other thread: So it's either client side based, or their stuff is just epically screwed up. None of the other machines seem to have issue with it, so i'm still thinking it's their problem. Either way now it seems to me that it may be a client side issue with their mod, and perhaps it could be a tekkit client side issue as well. Maybe worth looking into. I'm not sure what TE data is to make an educated assumption here at all. Since no one else has the issue, the assuption here is that they're doing something wrong since the data is still the same going to them as it is for advanced machines 4 and their machines aren't twisted around. I'm still thinking it's a server side issue, because after a reset my transformers don't operate so that says to me that their turning of the machines are sending data to the server and then after that the server says "yes it's actually PHYSICALLY" turned not just a texture issue at that point. When I leave the chunk it turns, when i come back it's still operating properly until a server restart, then it must actually change the information on the world file because it has to be popped off and reset before it'll operate again.

Advanced machines 4 (minus the iron furnace one that is part of IC2) have a known bug to draw medium power incorrectly. Use the LV-Transformer and low voltage cabling (or whatever you want) on all AM4 machines and they'll operate fine. I spent about 3 hours trolling forums to find this out. Hopefully you haven't had to waste that much time.

Course I'm getting no help at all on the IC2 forums either. They want to point the finger at bukkit and say it's their problem everywhere. If IC2 wasn't the whole reason i went to tekkit in the first place I'd just disable their mod entirely and go about my business...

As we stated before the problem lies in IC2's detection of world loading. It only happens in IC2 we assume because it loads the world prior to the plugin and then the plugin must reload the world again for itself thus not executing the world load in IC2 a second time. Since IC2 doesn't detect the plugin's reload it does properly spin the machines associated with it. Where advanced machines spin fine because it listens for world loads instead of forcing them at a specific time and ignoring it later when it matters. IMO there's no reason for IC2 to execute the world load at a specific time. It should just listen for them and execute as needed.

Are you absolutely sure? Because bukkit does not allow for mods where tekkit does. If I rename craftbukkit.jar to tekkit.jar how does it know to load mods?

I talked more with the multiverse guys and we've determined it's not tekkit: [13:18] <dumptruckman> it's because bukkit loads the worlds itself, and after that point, ic2 applies all it's data to the worlds loaded [13:19] <dumptruckman> then multiverse reloads those default worlds [13:19] <dumptruckman> but ic2 doesn't register that [13:25] <dumptruckman> basically, any worlds loaded after bukkit loads the default worlds will not have all the ic2 data applied to them [13:25] <dumptruckman> so they need to listen for worlds to be loaded/created [13:25] <dumptruckman> and apply the data THEN [13:25] <dumptruckman> instead of at an arbitrary point

They're quite knowledgable about how this stuff works. Is there any way we could fix that?

Btw, i did confirm that it is the multiverse-core plugin on my server that causes the issue. If I had a way for /warp <world> to work then we'd be set. When i disabled multiverse-core all the machines turned right, but when I went to switch between worlds it said "world not found". So i have to have it enabled to get between the worlds. Also it should be noted that when you have an MFE or transformer, it turns those as well and when it does the MFE and transformers do not operate properly. So it is not JUST a skin turn, it's a physical turn of the item. Stuff like furnaces and such aren't an issue because they work from any side and angle. However, an MFE is required to have that output port on a specific side, also the transformers do not operate as well because their inputs are also turned. Your best bet is to orient those objects in the down position and hook them up accordingly if you use multiple worlds. However, i think we should move this back into a "please fix this" issue because it does effect how things operate. It's not a harmless skin texture issue as I initially thought. I'd take this personally to the multiverse developers but since other people have confirmed it's not just the multiverse plugin, I don't believe it is their problem alone. The IC2 folks may be to blame on this, but I really don't know. If developer versions are doing this as well, then clearly updating to R4 on bukkit won't help either, but I'd like to be able to confirm that at least. Again, if anyone knows where to get R4 or R4.1 developer links for tekkit server, please forward the links and I'll be happy to test it out.

Maybe before he answers if anyone could provide links to developer versions of server software that is already using R4 if any are available? Thanks.
