No line breaks don't effect the game, they only affect the ease of reading in the config files. Take a look at the redpower config file and the buildcraft one. Notice how the build craft one has spaces (or line breaks) that make it easier to read?

Right now I am just going through every fix I have seen recently to see if that will solve it I really want this guy to get it working because it would be a travesty if the man who posted the best bug report I have ever seen is one of the only ones who won't get a fix :(

Can't be done without modding and even that would be painfully difficult. Could search for a mod that does that though. (But it wouldn't reduce the rate of mod added ores)
