Ender Chests aren't locked, all someone needs to do is guess the correct color code. For disabling items, check out NoItem, and use PEX with it.

Post your full java version. Lion does not have the latest. Try backing up saves and deleting technicssp. Go to finder, hit go, then go to location. Type in ~/Library/Application Support/techniclauncher, and delete said folder.

Buildcraft uses a fakeplayer, and it is [buildCraft]. /ps allow [buildCraft] should work.

To answer your question, usually a small server that has EE, just because I like transmutation, players that haven't reached endgame yet, and a nice community.
