  1. The Tekkit Wiki is an amazing resource. Start there. http://thetekkit.wikia.com/
  2. I don't know what you're talking about. Energy links (when supplied with EU) are perfectly capable of pumping items out of machines using a wooden transport pipe. Here's an example: The energy links are the blocks under the wooden transport pipes. But yes, as mentioned, RP tubes are smarter than BC pipes. Use each one as and when you deem fit, since they each have their own advantages.
  3. 1. Do you want the code that displays the system statuses on the screen or the code that lets you control the individual systems? I have two different computers, one for fetching statuses and displaying, and the other for controlling. 2. What coloured pipes? Mind linking me to the screenshot that has them?
  4. Thanks! Thanks for the offer, but I've put this project on hold for a while. I'm not sure what else I can add to it, and I'm currently working on something else (an attempt at a 1:1 replica of a building) at the moment so it might take a while for me to come back to this.
  5. Absolutely brilliant. Couldn't have done it better myself. 10/10.
  6. I love drinking frappes, but who the hell does it to porn? On a more serious note, I think one of the main issues is compatibility between mods and the general stability of the modpack. With more mods there would obviously be a higher chance of there being certain incompatibilities between mods, be it with the game engine or with how they interact in the game, which can (in some cases) easily cause crashes. Some of the requested mods are also really badly coded, don't have modloader support, or just don't cooperate with the modpack in general.
  7. I just tried downloading it, and it works fine for me.
  8. Haven't found the need for force fields, so I didn't put them anywhere. I did experiment with them for a bit, though.
  9. For me, server administrative/backbone wise - 8.5 For me, in-game wise - 8.5 The mod I've spent the least time experimenting with is probably RailCraft.
  10. There's already an ongoing discussion about the mod here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/icbm-mod.14367/ It's a fairly interesting mod, but I don't think it would be very interesting for SSP. It seems more like a warfare kind of thing, so SMP might be more interesting. Some of the weapons seem amazingly scary, though.
  11. Pneumatic tubes.
  12. No, not yet. I might try using ccsensors when I find the time.
  13. I spent a few days playing around with the mod with my friends, and in that time I experimented with the machine blocks and piping, with the wiki as a guide. Actually, most of what I learnt was from the wiki, but I tried things out on a smaller scale before I started this project. ComputerCraft wasn't that difficult for me to jump into. I'm already familiar with a few coding languages, so all I had to do was to learn the syntax for lua. The algorithms themselves are pretty basic.
  14. Just so you guys know that it isn't only on your side. You can check here (edit: or here) for server statuses. (It says that they'll be back up in about 3 minutes, though. I don't know how reliable that estimate is.)
  15. I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge to read the rules before using ANY forum.
  16. The Let's Play Pavillion is for things like this. It looks pretty good, though. Nice job!
  17. It's been working for well over 8 hours now. Maybe 9.
  18. I don't even know where to start. You guys went so offtopic right off the bat. Were there any error messages? Which part of it doesn't load for you? If you're just going to say "THE LAUNCHER DOESN'T WORK" without telling us HOW exactly it isn't working or which part refuses to work, then there's almost no way for us to help you. You have to at least provide us some info to help us understand the problem before we can help you.
  19. I think the Minecraft auth servers have some problems right now or something. Same problem here.
  20. Just a side note: HV transformers are used to convert EU between HV and EV, so you don't need one in between the MFSU and MV transformer.
  21. Yeah, try backing up your world and plugins and make a completely new server. That is also an amazing name.
  22. Backplague said (in my thread) that he uses the Harvest Goddess Band on a pedestal.
  23. SSP = Survival SINGLEplayer. SMP = Survival MULTIplayer. Tekkit is designed specially to be used for SMP, which means on a server. Use Technic if you want to play single player.
  24. Batboxes and MFSUs are from IC2. They output EU and will only work with IC2 cables. EU is COMPLETELY different from redstone current. Redstone lamps do not need EU (and will never take in EU) to be powered. They only need a redstone current, and nothing else can power them. You could try using luminators if you want EU-powered lights. Also, there's no such thing as "the RS to red alloy is not very efficient". There is no voltage or current in redstone; just whether the current is ON or OFF. Just another note, don't confuse either redstone current or EU with blutricity. The three of them are different things. Don't try to link blue alloy wires to MFSUs or anything like that.
