    hello

I just checked. He did, but apparently Cheap Shot unlocked it.
  2. As freakachu put it in the super secret mega thread, this thread serves as an "idiot buffer", keeping the people who can't figure out how to follow instructions from spamming other threads.
  3. See, this is a forge bug, yet we're doing the debugging for it. And yet modders complain that they have to do debugging for technicpack users. Maybe we should trade our terrible bug reporters for their terrible bug reporters.
  4. That's a known problem with Internet Explorer. Interent Explorer ignores file types, thus it downloads the .jar as a .zip You need to either change the file extension or get a different browser. I suggest getting a different browser, as it saves time in the long run.
  5. GreenWolf13

    hello

Maybe we should take this somewhere else. We are getting dangerously close to derailing.
  6. GreenWolf13

    hello

That's how we do it 'Merica.
  7. Make sure that you are renaming the file properly. By default, most Operating Systems hide file extensions, so renaming it minecraft_1.2.5.jar will end up making it minecraft_1.2.5.jar.jar, even though you only see minecraft_1.2.5.jar Try renaming it but without adding the .jar to the end, so if you are using the 1.2.5 .jar, rename it to minecraft_1.2.5
  8. Okay, I'm back. As Niall has said, you need to have the correct .jar for the modpack you are using. Here is a list of the modpacks, and what MC version they are on: Tekkit: 1.2.5 Technic: 1.2.5 Yogbox: 1.2.3 Hack/Mine: 1.2.3 VoxelBox Modpack: 1.3.2 You'll need to get the proper .jar corresponding to MC version of the modpack. Then simply follow the instructions in the Original Post, substituting 1.2.5 with the proper MC version.
  9. Can you give us more info? Saying it doesn't work doesn't help us at all. As Eloraam says "Logs or it didn't happen."
  10. Yes. If the file is called minecraft.jar rename it to minecraft_1.2.5.jar if it is called minecraft rename it to minecraft_1.2.5
  11. Go check out this thread for a solution.
  12. So. Much. Wrong. With. This. Thread. Wrong section Advertising servers Double posting Allow me to go bang my head against the wall while I report you all for breaking the rules. :bang:
  13. Not necessarily true. There was an earlier post about this on the first page. By defualt, windows does not display the file extension (.jar, .exe, etc..) meaning that naming the file minecraft_1.2.5.jar would cause it to become minecraft_1.2.5.jar.jar. If you can see the file extensions, rename it minecraft_1.2.5.jar, otherwise, rename it minecraft_.1.2.5
  14. what do you mean? The technic launcher already uses spoutcraft.
  15. Ugghh, I wish my iPad could run Eclipse. Being able to decompile and look at base class files would be so helpful right now.

  16. I believe there's a link to the technic IRC in the homepage of technicpack.net I don't go on there much, as the IRC Chat Client app I use doesn't work with it.
  17. Can we have some error logs please? As Eloraam says "Logs or it didn't happen."
  18. Definitely not. The Forge IRC is where all the Minecraft Modders who use Forge (and a few who don't) go to discuss code, modding, and more code. ah, thanks for the correction. I could've sworn that H/M was for 1.2.5 oh well.
  19. In theory. I haven't updated yet, so I haven't had a chance to try. But it should work, provided you use the proper .jar files. I can try hopping on the Forge IRC to see if any of them know what could be causing the problem, but I doubt it. The spoutcraft launcher is not our area of expertise. I know basically how the launcher works, but I haven't had time or inclination to dig in a fork to see what makes it tick. As for Hack/Mine, I believe it is on MC version 1.2.5
  20. He's assuming that that many people can't possibly be that stupid. It's easier to assume it was one person being stupid instead of dozens of people being stupid.
  21. That's because Yogbox is for 1.2.3, and VoxelBox Modpack is for 1.3.2
  22. I know! EULA's and DRM are so effective! Wait, you were being sarcastic?
  23. Brain Status: Offline | Error: Sleep Levels Below Acceptable Limits | Activating Emergency Brain Cells | Emergency Brain Cells Active: 5

  24. Don't worry buddy, I'm here to help. Go take a break. I'll deal with these bug reporters. Okay, to all you people saying you have the same error, go fill out your own bug reports. It is very likely that you all have different problems, although they may be related. Filling out a bug report gives us vital information that we need to help you. It also helps us help the original poster if this thread better, as it keeps his thread clean. And before you say you have tried everything, make sure you have read the Common Problems & Solutions sticky at the top of the bug report board. Also use the search bar at the top right corner of the page to search the forums for old threads that may have the solution to your problem. Also use google to look for possible solutions. Once you have done all that, then you should go post your own bug report in the proper section, and fill out all the fields. i highly doubt this. The vanilla minecraft update would not affect the spoutcraft launcher that tekkit/technic use.
  25. I agree completely with this. When I was considering the possibility of a modpack blacklist for my mod, one thought that occurred to me was making a list of mods not allowed to use my mod in a modpack, and posting it in my mod's thread. Perhaps you could do something like that?
