  1. If we could reduce alpha-sticking, a muon could be used for hundreds, maybe even thousands of fusions, instead of a hundred. The problem is also the fact that long term storage of muons is impossible, due to their decay speed of a few micro seconds. Injecting the muons isn't really an issue, as there are various ways to do that. The main problem is getting more fusions out of each muon, more "bang for your buck" basically.
  2. SImpleGuy, you know what Muon Catalyzed Fusion is, correct? Do you think it could be feasible as a power source if the alpha-sticking problem were solved?
  3. You need to use the Higgs-Boson.
  4. Until it updates? You're basically asking when the next tekkit update will be. Since our current bukkit plugins work for 1.2.5, I'd try coding substitutes for 1.3.2 or 1.4.2
  5. Oh hi; I'm here from the internet.

But...I...What?... Why does my computer say "Divide by cucumber error"!? Do I have ducks again?

  6. I already know that there are several Forge Modders who are working on making mods that do the same things as the old bukkit plugins. So I wouldn't worry too much.
  7. Well, that's kind of awkward. Sorry about the stealing Mooseman.
  8. Nope. Or, if I do, I can't remember right now. It is very likely I know what that is from, but I can't remember right now.
  9. I hope you don't mind if I quote you on that. That's the funniest thing I've seen all day.
  10. I was talking about the vanilla server config. Still, good to know.
  11. It depends on how the mod items inflict damage. Damage can be inflicted either environmentally (i.e. lava, drowning), by enemies (i.e. zombies, creepers) or by players (i.e. arrows, swords, tnt, splash potions). This is why when you turn the pvp config off splash potion effects don't work on other players, irrespective of other players. It's also why their are separate entities for player fired arrows and skeleton arrows, and why tnt and creepers use different explosions. So it all depends on how the mod is coded.
  12. I took that quiz thing that xylord linked too. Not suprised at my results. I'm extremely right wing on most issues, and I'm also a devout Roman Catholic. http://www.isidewith.com/results/202935353
  13. Sure. Note: The forums aren't finished yet. I'm still working on the basic infrastructure. http://magecraft.boards.net/index.cgi
  14. You sound like a total bad-ass IRL. And you're cool online too!
  15. He's a member here! That guy is a poet. He deserves a medal!
  16. It was a very creepy face.
  17. .zip release? are you using Internet Explorer to try to download .jar files? If you are, switch to Firefox for downloading .jar files, since Internet Explorer does not respect file types, and downloads .jar files as .zip files.
  18. I'm going to use that quote on the MageCraft Forums to help explain my stance on modpacks and moddig, as it sums up everything I believe (or most of it) very well. Can you remember what that cool guy's name was?
  19. I didn't realize until today how much work went into setting up and maintaining a forum. My respect for you has just increased by 5000%.

  20. Your moderators are corrupt? Maybe you should fire them and hire new ones. Or make a back-up of the world file and reinstall everything.
  21. I was talking with pahimar yesterday, and I told him I had browsed through the BTW forums to get the pro-forestry side of the forestry thing. (pahimar doesn't like the technic forums, but he's okay with the modpack itself. To each his own I guess). He said "I feel sorry for you". I think we can all agree, pro-technic and anti-technic, that the BTW forums and community are crap.
  22. Of course, if you have a computer like Watson, then FLOPS are the limiting factor. Right?
  23. What if you have other process open at the same time? Say you have Eclipse IDE, Firefox (with several tabs, one of them being a YouTube video), and Minecraft (possibly a recompiled version of a mod you're testing) running, as well as several folders. Would having dual core help?
  24. If you have covalence dust and a repair talisman in your inventory, it will repair your tools right before they break, but it will use covalence dust, instead of repairing for free.
  25. Actually, he is catering to piracy, as he admits his server is in offline mode so that one of his "friends" (not the one that is hacking) can play without buying Minecraft. Edit: Ninja'd by Torezu.
