Perhaps using This would help prevent that?

This Don't worry, I did it for you.

It's up to you. I use windows, but that's because I have a PC. Eclipse is handy tool for Java development. It allows you to test out your prgrams and compile them into a java executable file. It also has tutorials on how to use Java, and it shows when you make syntax errors by highlighting them (forgetting quotes, misplacing a colon).
-
Java is very similar to Lua (they are basically the same thing) nut with the advantage of having an IDE. I suggest you go get Java JDK and Eclipse.
-
Yes. Go check the Modders Metropolis to find the thread outlining the concept. I should have MageCraft Core (also called Momenti Codice Core0 done by the end of the month.
-
You called? THis is vey possible, and was one of the ways I thought about programming it. Unfortunately I don;t have time to do it as MageCraft is taking up a lot of time. I'd be willing to give you pointers though, if you need any help. Also, while Lua is java based, I suggest using java instead, as it is a bit more flexible.
-
Was it the mission to recover my sanity so that I can finish MageCraft on time?

"a metaphor wrapped in an enigma." That one's going into the library of awesome quotes, right up there with Monty Python and the Holy Grail quotes and "freezing ice".

First off, Tekkit is for 1.2.5, Open to LAN is a 1.3.2 feature. Second, you need to provide more information if you want help. Saying you have the latest version of java does not help us at all. And there is always an error log, unless you did something incredibly stupid. As Eloraam says "Logs or it didn't happen."

I've done it before, but usually I catch it before I post.

Yes, but then he got temp banned for three days, which would reset his points. I think Cheap Shit gave him more points afterwards to make sure the kellering never wore off. Edit: Just realized that I misspelled Cheap Shot as Cheap Shit. Sorry Cheap Shot.
-
Didn't the Account Hacker Caught Thread happen in August? I think Rayzan has his warning points set to never expire, instead of the month long that is the usual.
-
He's been kellered for a while now then. And if he's kelllered, then it falls under your jurisdiction, not mine, as you would need to hack his account to un-keller him.
-
I'd use my powers of Necromancy to bring him back for you, but the Necromancer Council has strictly forbidden the use of Necromancy to bring back the banned.
-
Okay... I'm going to ignore the possible sexual connotations of that and go back to (trying) to discuss rayzan.
-
I'm not saying Jeb came up with those, I'm saying he implemented them. And redstone repeaters have been in vanilla for ages.
-
SOrry I'm late. Did someone mention Rayzan?
-
Jeb did take over after 1.0, but he was working on minecraft for a long time before that. Most of the adventure update was done by Jeb, as well as quite a bit of 1.7

I agree one hundred percent with you. The I thought we had gotten past all the hate and such, but apparently, we can't figure out that we need to be nice to each other. I think the definition of "minor stealing and pranks" is taking something from a chest that is replaced within a minute, not stealing someone's entire base. Gav, I'm sorry about accidentally burning your house down that one time, but it is fixed now, correct? If it's okay with you, I'd like to go build in the void near one of the entrance platforms (about 100 blocks away from it). I want test out an automatic base building program with CC turtles.
-
Not even ideas really. Minecraft is not the first sandbox game, and it is definitely not gonna be the last. And have you noticed that some of the coolest things have been implemented by jeb? Pistons, dragons, everything after 1.0 Notch came up with a great way to combine parts of different games. Jeb made it amazing.
-
Ah, that explains why I get good frame rate in games like TF2 or Portal. My graphics card must be better than I thought. My computer isn't optimized for gaming, so the CPU isn't amazingly powerful, but it's powerful enough to run games like TF2 and other high end games. The more I listen to you jakj, the more I realize just how bad a coder Notch is. Also, according to you, 3+dick=3.
