What version is Tekkit's Bukkit?
Revelator replied to Schilcote's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Don't always have to be for 1.2.5, just have to be supported. Anyways they using the mcports custom build of bukkit /forge and such implemented and their version ( I believe) is https://github.com/downloads/MinecraftPortCentral/CraftBukkit/craftbukkit-1.2.5-R5.0-MCPC-SNAPSHOT-182.jar <-- this one, I tend to use CB++ myself, so I couldn't really say for sure. -
Require JRE 1.7 for one mod? Really?
Revelator replied to Hidendra's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Could always try to manually build it, but.. life sucks. -

Used to use (I hate that sentence :/) Group manager with essentials, but these days I prefer using PEX.. still using essentials though. -

Have played tale of kingdoms for quite awhile, can't say how many times those damn goats have eaten ALL MY DAMN MONEY... those bastards :/ -
Well, I know there is new ores in redpower (at least I think it is) and its the whole bigger map size thing you know + +. Its easier to start on a new map really. So be it you'll lose your base and such, but thats a part of the fun thing, to actually build up again.

Why would you remove recipes ? Its all about going on a wiki site to find recipes instead, which takes longer but does the same work.

Is that MV cables ? or am I just seeing wrong -
Why would they be removed ? As far as I know they are still there.

Running a Tekkit server without Bukkit would be foolish really, no protection whatsoever in vanilla, where as in Bukkit you have several logs, / admin / anti-grief systems. (Which also do work with Tekkit items) since a simple /kick / ban won't really do it on a tekkit server.

Might wanna add that RP2 still haven't actually been ported.
-
If you check ingame content on that update you'll notice that it isn't actually even a complete dev version yet. At any case, many mods is still yet to be updated for 1_2_5 (Bukkit) http://mcportcentral.co.za/wiki/index.php?title=Ports_for_1.2.5

Don't forget what fungus also is actually used for, creating antibiotics.

I just hope this guy won't be the next president of US, not saying the current one is stupid but the last one sure was.

Re: Could this remove the need for a Technic pack? Except for the damn space stage. Well with the space commander or w/e, it make it a little bit more fun, but meh. EA should rot in hell for all I care. And yeah, E3 version > the actual version

I'm astounded of this guys stupidity....... Nothing personal really, but good god man... YOU MUST STOP SMOKING THE SMOKE FROM YOUR CAR!

For people wondering about updates.
Revelator replied to PsychoBob's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
To explain why there has been delays on the update to 1.2.5 for a few mods; Forge has now dropped support for ModloaderMP, they got sick of having to wait for ModloaderMP to update every time. In short what this means is that some of the mods that relay on ModLoaderMP will have to be re-coded this might take a while. The recent release of forge was unable to load mods directly from the mods folder on your server and there client side had nothing in regarding the changes so not sure why waiting on some feedback. My personal opinion, it's bit hectic forge has done some changes in the last couple of updates that has actually started breaking mods, they getting a bit relentless towards people actually using certain API's and then have to re-code everything, anyway lets hope everything goes as planned. Some other Minecraft related news Keavator has stopped development on his mods thanks to all the minecraft updates he got fed up, hes work was picked up by someone else so will see how that goes and the developer of BC has also stepped down from developing BC further and now leaving that to the community another great developer gone. Hopefully we will still have mods left to play in month or two, been on the minecraft website and mods just aren't being updated as they use to and they just left to die think we should thank Mojang for that and there super release an update every 2 week stunts. -
Remove access to /item & /give, and that should be it.

Chests mod to replace alch chests in next update
Revelator replied to Nek's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Truthfully I would love ironchests anyhow. Regardless if EE got removed or not. -
Possibly that it reads the redpower tin /, hence you won't be able to smelt them back to tin / .... At least thats what seemed like the issue I had... had two piles of tin, one industrial, the other one apparantly redpower. So couldn't smelt them to the usual stuff again.

Not really much as a glitch as it is a feature within bukkit / minecraft to prevent hacked clients and so on. No idea if you can disable that feature or not.

Best thing you can get for SMP is most likely a simple thermometer, but its useful to nuclear facilities and so on. (Which I'm guessing you were gonna use the thermal monitor for anyhow) Dynamicelevators is just an execuse for lag, even tho its useful you can simply use any of the elevator plugins which is at bukkit, which basically teleports a player up and down instead of having a block which moves up and down. (It causes less lag) And we already have power converters as the person *points up* told. Rocketscience + portal, I've got no idea what usefulness they would have. Portals, well again you have teleporters or use one of the many plugins for bukkit. Wireless remote... even tho useful, its hardly needed.. you can use the Receiver + a simple lever after all.

I went with a energy link directly myself, through a power teleport pipe + those... special pipes which sends power.. (I always forget the names on them) But yeah that does cost quite a bit.
