Also make sure that use material names is "false" in your modifyworld config file. use-material-names: false If that doesn't work then get rid of the "use" under the items nodes. The version of PEX that works with Tekkit doesn't have this feature so that might be screwing it up depending on what version of PEX you are using.

    Added, welcome to DubTekkit! To create a towny town you must be ranked Architect or above or be a donator, and it costs $10k to start the town. As far as PVP, if you are in "the wild" (not in a town) then you can be killed at night time. This rarely happens unless you are building out in the open in the wild or have provoked someone while in the wild at night time. As well we have rules in place stating if someone is raiding your wild home during the day and you ask them to leave, they must comply (due to PVP being turned off during the daytime and you would have no way to fend them off)
