No, but I can't say i disagree with him on much. I DO get the feeling that the author is the kind of guy who would emphasize that his male children had to do manly things though. Maybe I'm inferring too much, but that's just what his style and tone remind me of.

You and I are going to have to disagree on that. Coddling the bad posters only leads to more bad posting. Negative reinforcement is the most effective way to get untrained animals to behave themselves. There are even a few reformed bad posters on this very forum. (I am not one of them, my posts will always be bad.)

Re: Is Technic Launcher Lost? That's not necessarily true. IE has a long history of refusing to conform to accepted standards. I'd say switch to firefox, but firefox has been going downhill a lot recently. Google Chrome is still rather good.

The offline play option still requires you to log on at least once. there will be no changes to that policy, the installer will not be reinstituted, there are no workarounds that you can discuss here.

First of all, I'd like to point out that numbskulls have ALWAYS had a problem installing the technic pack. When everything was run on the blog, i saw just as many people complaining about how hard the it was to install, and how much it slowed the game down, and all the other stupid problems that people are having.

PS: If you're still having problems getting to minecraft.net, you can find a solution via google by searching for "[name of the site you are redirected to] redirect malware fix" It's a pretty common type of malware, and there are methods for removing any of them that you might have. Good Luck. Um... no. It is NOT possible to log in without connecting to minecraft.net. The minecraft website is the same domain that hosts the login data for the game, so if one isn't working, neither will the other. You should make sure you know your shit before accusing someone of lying.

I like the Zeppelins mod, for things like turntables, moving platforms, and boats, but i think planes are better sky travel. As for working with and updating the mod, If you can manage it and want the plane mod in Technic, the best thing you can do, is port it to Forge.

You have a duck in your computer, and it's intercepting the data before it gets to your computer. You need to call your computers manufacturer to get it out, the technic team can't help you with that. Duck removal can be pretty tricky business, so make sure you get at least a tier two Tech Support guy on the phone while you do it. Quick trick from an old pro, Don't let them see you're afraid.

I'm going to need to disagree. Besides, apparently Ronald Moore was interested in doing something with Pern a few years ago, and i think he happens to be a much better fit. looking at all the other junk that Don Murphy produced is deepening my fears of the movie ending up badly.
