  1. Yeah, it does- my first one created a massive, laggy pile of cobble.
  2. So, in this thread, we've escalated from making a double forcefield, to putting a triple forcefield around every end portal, then building your base, inside the end, at the max height, completely out of microblocks, frames, and glass. God I love tekkit.
  3. Hmm, but don't forcefields have a red outline? Seems like that would be pretty obvious. Okay, let's just nail this down. Build your base in the end.
  4. Hmm, good point. There's also the point that IC2 crops grow better at higher alts, and you don't really need to hide solars to remain hidden- but what about minimap eh? However, I suppose you could build your base out of microblocks, or cover your base in grass, but that leaves a shadow..
  5. Or just, you know, hide underground. That works pretty well.
  6. Mmm, Don't think that would stop the gravel trick- you could still build under it, no? But seeing as you need a 3-block tall airspace, you could probably solve that by putting a single layer, than a two-block-wide gap, then the two block thick forcefield. And that still wouldn't stop someone from using a deployer to place the blocks. Sigh. See you next post gav!
  7. I swear you're following me gav. But yes, a turtle will do that just fine- there's code for one on the CC wiki.
  8. Well, that could acctually work in 1.3. But for the time being, that's what you're stuck with. If you want to, you could place it near a portal and pretend you're chucking it thru a portal.
  9. There's a similar program already on the CC wiki- check the example program section.
  10. Yeah lol- btw, be carfull with mystcraft, world generation is quite server heavy, and players are incredibly likely to get stuck there, resulting an incredible ear-rupturing sonic blast of screaming. Well, that's all I have for ya! Good luck!
  11. Hmm, I'm not shure about //regen, it may just pull from a copy of the map somewhere, but it's more likely using the seed. Worth a try!
  12. Long story short- no, there is currently no way to transfer items between dimensions besides player inventories, bags, and enderchests- same with energy. There MAY be a bukkit plugin, but I don't believe any exist.
  13. Couldn't you just use an assembler with bonemeal and saplings in it, than use an RM axe in a deployed to break it, and use a transposer to collect drops? Also, you probably want [ and ] instead of <>
  14. No problem.Remember, you don't need a new map- just new chunks.
  15. Hmm. Well, you either need to generate new chunks, or use a chunk deleter tool to remove chunks you haven't built in, and re-genrate them. In short, there isn't an easy way.
  16. Hmm. Have you disabled crafting of it, and removed all instances from player inventories? And a heads up, mods don't like end-of-post signatures.
  17. Well, it seems like a thicker FF might do the trick. Honestly though, there's so many ways to get thru forcefields-you can use the cover-yourself-in-gravel-and-relog trick, you could place a teleporter under it and use that, so it seems like thisis just another way to do this.
  18. I'm not shure I'm understanding you- are they underneath the forcefield? Are they at the side of it? What are they doing?
  19. Well, couple things to check here. Does the motion dive work on it's own? Try disconnecting it from the rest of the ship. If it works, it's not your drive, it's one of two things: One: frame motors cannot move more than 1000 blocks. This includes wires, pipes ect. Two: you have a solid block somewhere causing it to get caught. Also, a bit more info would be nice as well.
  20. To all you guys thinking about making mining rigs and that- don't use block breakers that go back and fourth to do it- shure, it might seem like a good idea, but it requires an extra bit of effort and it's fairly slow. Instead, hook up a forcefield a block cutter upgrade, have it pulse on and off when you move, and use that as your "drill head" and use some transposers to slurp up the items. It's surprisingly effective actually.
  21. A copy and paste of my reply on another thread about killing quantums-
  22. As a note on killing a FULL quantum, my testing showed that about 160,000 EU/T for about 3 seconds can drain and kill a quantum, so you would need about 480,000 EU/T to kill almost instantly, or about 240 HV transformers. Just a thought. Anyone think quantum is OP? However, kudos for the use of transformers-I was using a array of HV solars.
  23. It's just a nice touch, keeps things a little bit neater, and even though he does have auto-factories, it appears he's not using EE(just a guess, seeing as there's a cobble gen) so every item counts. Also, weed-ex lowers the gained stats a fairly decent amount, I believe it's impossible to get maxed-out plants with the stuff.
