Will there be a Tekkit 2.1x with Bukkit 1.1-R6 base?
termhn replied to BlasterMaster555's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Re: Will there be a Tekkit 2.1x with Bukkit 1.1-R7 base? I think you can just insert the bukkit versions of Modloader, modloadermp, and forge into the 1.1 R7 jar and it should work.. not tested though -

Yes, yes you did. -
1. Google 2. Search Forum 3. Read Stickies 4. Solution: When you start your launcher, click options, then click where it says "Always use development build" then click done.

*READ THE WHOLE POST, DON'T JUST SKIP TO DOWNLOADS. IT WON'T WORK* I have a fix for the bug with factions where Turtles, IC2 miners, quarries, farms, etc. don't work on claimed land. Just worked this out myself with the Factions developer. He fixed this problem in the new update, but that version is only 1.1 R6 and up compatible. So, I re-built his source for 1.1 R4 and now it's working perfectly on my server . I'll link to a download of the jar, but you'll also need to re-gen a conf.json (delete old one) and edit it a little bit. Open up conf.json inside your Factions folder and look for this line: "playersWhoBypassAllProtection": [] Just do a Ctrl + F if you're on windows or Cmd + F on mac and find "players". Then add all the names of the fake players used in between those brackets. An example would be "playersWhoBypassAllProtection": ["[buildCraft]", "[industralCraft]", "[RedPower]", "[ComputerCraft]", "[Forestry]"] A LAST, IMPORTANT STEP (Thanks to vidplace7 for this fix ) Download the other file linked below and navigate to your server folder. There should be a folder called lib, and inside that gson.jar. Delete the one that's currently in there and drag the new one you downloaded in. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS FOLDER: Start your server once without doing this and it should create the folder (IT WILL THROW AN ERROR!). Shut your server down again and then do the above. And then you should be good PS: Yes, I know people can place blocks within other factions land! That is because of how Tekkit modifies CB, not because of Factions! You can find a fix here: http://forums.technicpack.net/index.php/topic,4645.0.html Downloads: Modified Jar for Tekkit 2.1.1: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10200380/Factions.jar Old version of gson.jar: http://www.mediafire.com/?o133ub9x3mggdk5

SO FREAKING TRUE! My worst screwup was when I was first learning C++ and spent a whole day and part of my dignity looking like an idiot on a forum trying to debug a script that had a single equals sign in an if statement. Facepalm.

PreciousStones Bukkit Plugin does not work with Tekkit
termhn replied to termhn's question in Tekkit Classic
Yes, however I was talking about the other fields besides protection, PreciousStones does other things. The sticky about block breaking wasn't stickied when I posted this, and I had been searching about PreciousStones specifically. I now know that it has to do with Tekkit not sending a BlockPlace event, and I'm actually trying to fix it... -
[HELP]Turtles and Blockbreakers cannot break blocks

If you happen to be using Factions, I have a fix Just worked this out myself with the Factions dev, but he fixed this problem in the new update, which is only 1.1 R6 and up compatible. So, I re-built his source for 1.1 R4 and now it's working perfectly on my server . I'll link to a download of the jar, but you'll also need to first delete your old conf.json so that it can generate a new one, and then edit it. Open up conf.json inside your Factions folder and look for this line: "playersWhoBypassAllProtection": [] Just do a Ctrl + F if you're on windows or Cmd + F on mac and find "players". Then add all the names of the fake players used in between those brackets. An example would be "playersWhoBypassAllProtection": ["[buildCraft]", "[industralCraft]", "[Redpower]", "[ComputerCraft]", "[Forestry]"] And then you should be good Download modified Jar: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10200380/Factions.jar PS. Can someone sticky this? -
[Bug][2.1.1]Is there a way to properly protect an area/chunks/spawn ?
termhn replied to NormenKD's question in Tekkit Classic
I'm going to try something suggested to me by another plugin owner, not to fix this problem but it could help anyway. I'll get back to y'all if it works :) -
1. Not sure but shouldnt be too hard to find... 2. No, you need to install a few mods (bukkit ported versions) into the bukkit jar if you upgrade, and of course it has to be 1.1 as well. Those mods being at least ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and Minecraft Forge, I made a thread because I'm not user if there's others.
-
You can drop a mod in, but everyone that gets on your server would have to get it too. Plugins are server-side only meaning that no-one else has to install anything
-
Which mods are in Tekkit.jar? I'm trying to upgrade to 1.1 R6
termhn replied to termhn's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Yes, but most of those go in the mods folder, not into a server jar ;) -
No prob.. try some punctuation tho ;)
-
I got this on mine too, my fix was to jut go into mods folder and delete the Advanced Machines mod, it wasnt critical to me and the same thing can basically be accomplished with upgrades now. Not sure otherwise.

Problem when starting my Tekkit 2.1.1 server :( Any help most appreciated!
termhn replied to DarthSnuffles's question in Tekkit Classic
sorry if i sound like a douche but theres this awesome thing we call "Google" these days... maybe that could help. -
It looks to me like your item id's are all screwed up... try re-downloading the server files and saving your world (if you have one) and putting it in... this could also be because you didnt upgrade an old world with the world upgrader, I think. Hope that helps!

PreciousStones Bukkit Plugin does not work with Tekkit
termhn replied to termhn's question in Tekkit Classic
I just saw that and I was reworking my post when you posted :P -
Launcher/Pack version(server): 2.1.1 OS: Mac Java Version: jre 6, latest mac build Description: I have just tried the PreciousStones plugin on a vanilla tekkit server and it does not function... not sure of the reason for this. It loads properly in the console and it functions when you type /ps it responds, but when you place a precious stone, nothing happens :/ Any help? Error Messages: None, check description Link to Pastebin of Log: Will not help, check description
-
Can someone run a test if the preciousstones will work with tekkit? If so, how did you get it to work? I've been trying for the past few days and can't get it to work. I'm using permissionsEx. Thanks!
