  1. I'm afraid not! That's what I've been using atleast, and that's what has satisfied my needs thus far. If it'd save your window from your computer, I could post the permissions for the items we've banned.
  2. The "Ticking screen" error is not related to OptiFine. Connect without and you'll receive the same error. A handful of our server players have reported the same, and this far only a .technicpack folder removal seems to do the trick.
  3. Due to some missed out information on mod removal in 0.6.0 we've decided to revert to 0.5.7 again, and will be sticking to recommended releases of the Lite pack. Also. Welcome aboard - play.tekkitlite.com.
  4. Edit ChickenChunks.cfg on line 37, cleanuptime to 0.
  5. { RULES } № 1 › NO GRIEFING NOR STEALING ALLOWED Griefing will result in a permanent ban, and all user data removed. No warnings will be given. № 2 › HACKING (ITEM SPAWNING, FLYING, INSTAMINE, ETC) IS NOT ALLOWED No-brainer really. If anyone finds something strange going on, report immediately and actions will be made towards that player. This aswell results in a immediate ban, with NO warnings given. Remember, do not exploit the game mechanics. If you finds an obvious bug, report it. № 3 › DO NOT BEG OR ASK FOR ITEMS No admin or player will ever give you an item just because you're begging for it. Gather it yourself or buy from the store. NEVER BEG. There is a difference between occasionally asking "Does someone have any spare cobblestone?" or spamming the chat with "Can someone give me this, that or even this." every time you need an item. See fourth rule. № 4 › USE COMMON SENSE WHILE PLAYING ON TEKKITOPIA Any behaviour resulting in inconvinience or annoyance towards other players, unless following regular gameplay, will result in warnings and/or a ban. № 5 › DO NOT BUILD CLOSE TO OTHER PLAYERS PROJECTS Unless you've asked for permission. This might cause annoyance toward a player who has built a house and all of a sudden finds your shed on their yard. Building a house right outside of a town is also prohibited, when the town is expanding your house might get caught in it - set as the town property - and possibly removed. Failiure to follow this rule will result in a warning and a removal of what has been built. № 6 › DO NOT BYPASS THE AFK KICK This might result in failing machines and/or mob quota skyrocketing while you're asleep, causing the server to lag and even come to a halt. № 7 › KEEP THE CHAT CLEAN Don't misuse it, spam it, type everything in caps or insult other players. № 8 › KEEP THE MAIN MAP CLEAN Which basically means don't leave trees halfcut floating in the air, don't build sandcastles outside of a city, no 1x1 pillars, no craters nor torches scattered allover the map and don't use more land than you need for your constructions. This just to keep the map visually pleasing - and not a like dump of sorts. Failure to follow this rule will result in warnings and a reset of destroyed land. Please check ingame for further information. № 9 › YOUR ACCOUNT (AND YOURS ONLY) - YOUR RESPONSIBILITY "I thought I logged out." or "My [insert relative and/or friend] did that" will never be a valid excuse for anything happening to your account. It's your responsibility to use a safe enough password and not to give it out to anyone, regardless of whom and what. Also, trying to use other players accounts without their acknowledge will result in an immediate ban, you have your own and that should be more than sufficient. As some people don't seem to understand this rule; Sharing an account is allowed, having multiple is not. Keep in mind that the account will be banned via the name, and not via the person using the account. № 10 › READ AND FOLLOW THE WORLD SPECIFIC RULES We have several worlds and servers, and what is okay in one server is not necessary okay on the next. Make sure that you have read and understood the world rules before you start to mine a build. There is also some restrictions to item use or placements, read the banned items page for more info. If you are unsure, check the server map and ask in the forums, we can help you understand. № 10.1 › Build worlds A build world is a world that is dedicated for buildings. This world is always persistent and will never be deleted. This is where you normally builds your house/base/city. Remember that the build worlds Nether, The End, Moon and other dimensions are unique to that world and also considered a build world and all the normal rules apply. What about the oil and lava lakes? You are free pump up small amounts of lava and oil from a build world to get started as long you honour the eighth rule and keeps the map clean and pretty when you are done. Fill holes with natural materials and remove constructions. № 10.2 › Mining worlds A mining world is a world where you are free to destroy the natural beauty and mine for resources, this is also the only place where queries are allowed. All dimensions that's part of the server are considered a mine world. Note that a mining world is not persistent and there will be world resets when the need arises. There will be at least a two week warning given. If you are gone for more than two weeks, store your items in a build world to keep them safe. { FINALLY } Believe us, we see everything. Even if you manage to evade a warning or ban for a couple of days doesn't mean you're safe. It just means that we haven't discovered it... yet. If you by some reason manage to break one of the rules by accident or have any further, make a request ingame and we'll make everything right. If you don't report it and eventually get caught - you'll recieve a warning or ban. Warning system works like this - three warnings and you're automatically banned. If it's a severe infraction you might find yourself banned without warnings. A post will be made with further information in the warning section with your name on it. It is possible for you to discuss and/or add explanations. It is also possible for you to get your ban revoked if you have an extremely good argument for it. We're strict - but fair, so in 99% of cases a ban is earned for.
  6. IP: play.tekkitopia.com | Web: www.tekkitopia.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to Tekkitopia, recruit! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We are a one-of-a-kind server with a large focus on maturity and the players wants and needs. We've been around since December 2010 starting out as a small private vanilla server and has during the years evolved into what we currently are. We recently opened up our server with a custom modpack and are now accepting players from all around the world. Join today using our direct IP (play.tekkitopia.com). Keep in mind that we're running on a custom modpack, and you'll need to download the official Tekkitopia modpack. Modpack installation instructions can be found at http://tekkitopia.com/pages/connect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What do we have? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We're one of the first Technic communities with a large member-base and a mature environment. Our staff are mature and experienced and excellent handlers of problems players may experience - and great at conversating with the members. We currently have a mining world and main world and as you can guess, most of the fabulous building happens in the main world. The livemap (http://tekkitopia.com/pages/livemap) is a great tool to ensure you're not stepping on anyones feet when you start to build. We're keeping a high standard with large focus on the players wishes, regardless if you're a newbie or veteran. If you have ideas of improvements, post them on our forum - keep in mind that the opinions are many and yours might be counterargued (democracy, yeah!). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The hardware: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We're currently on a hosted solution with the current spesifications; E3 1241v3 CPU 1TB HDD for backups. 128GB SSD for the gameserver. 32GB RAM. The server restarts twice a day to ensure that the server is running smoothly and to give it a chance to flush any memory leakages. Automated scripts monitor the server and brings it back up in case of a halt. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sounds great! How do I join!? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, first of all you need: * To have read the rules. * A positive, mature attitude. * The modpack. The rules can be found one or two threads below. The attitude is on you though! Modpack installation instructions can be found at http://tekkitopia.com/pages/connect. 7. Step five! Let's install the very first plugin, PermissionsEX. Download the latest files from here. Extract, and put the extracted files in your magically generated plugins folder (visible in step four). Start up your server again, let it finish loading and let PEX generate files. Shut down again. Almost all plugins generate a folder named identically with the plugin, same goes for PermissionsEX. Find that specific folder in your plugins folder and open up permissions.yml with your favourite text editor. I highly recommend downloading and using Notepad++. The file looks rather bleak to begin with, but we'll fill it up a tad. As you can see in the second image, I've added numerous permissions from a very useful plugin - Essentials and a new group. The reasoning behind leaving "default: true" out is to not let players join that group by default. I've also added a "users:" line, where I've added a lovely red coloured prefix which will show in chat. To add player specific permissions, simply create a new line beneath the player name (Prototype9179) and type "permissions:". Add the permissions just like I have done with the group. Never, ever, ever use tab in a .yml document or you'll recieve a hefty error whilst starting your server. Notepad++ does this by default, change it in Settings - Preferences - Language Menu/Tab Settings and check "Replace by space" at the bottom right. Step six! Start up your server and enjoy it. Not all plugins currently work with MCPC+, some might give you numerous errors, not even start or stop working if adding another plugin that isn't compatible. Keep an eye or two on the server.log file, check for oddities and add plugins one by one. Good followup guide found here. Whilst directed to Tekkit Classic, it's still rather relevant and gives you overall good information if you e.g. wish to turn your server public.
  8. As requested from Prototype9179 in a previous post, I shall give this a proper attempt. This is intended for amateurs wishing a small server for themselves and/or their friends, so restrain yourselves from questions and statements such as; - "Why no superduperfancy garbagecollector Java arguments!?" - "A NIX box is way better, I know because I own 35 myself." And similiar. Step one! Make sure you have an up-to-date installation of Java found here. Choose 64-bit if you have a 64-bit Windows/Linux installation, and 32-bit if you have a 32-bit installation. Uninstall any other Java version you might find on the computer via Add/Remove programs (Windows users). If any online applications (bank logins, games) stop working, download a browser version of Java from here. Step two! Download the Tekkit Lite server files from here. Unpack wherever you wish, to whatever folder you prefer. These are the files you'll end up with; Step three! Download the latest recommended MCPC+ build, which allows you to add Bukkit functionality - in other words, install plugins found at plugins.bukkit.org or dev.bukkit.org. MCPC+ is found here. It's recommended to use the recommended builds, others might be unstable and buggy (marked with a star on the left). Rename the file, in this case named "mcpc-plus-1.4.7-R1.1-SNAPSHOT-f524-202.jar", to "TekkitLite.jar". Replace the existing TekkitLite.jar found in the Tekkit Lite folder you created previously, with this freshly downloaded and renamed MCPC+ one. Step four! Hit the launch.bat file with a double-click, let the server boot up. When it looks like this, it has most likely finished loading; Stop your server typing /save-all followed by /stop into the black box above. Failiure to do this MIGHT have negative effects on your server files. And you'll notice you now have a lot more files in your Tekkit Lite folder.
  9. That definitely shouldn't happen on a fresh setup done correctly. You seem like an old dog trying to learn new tricks rather than the usual nasal minor expecting everything handed on a silver plate, I'll gladly help you and I'll hand you some info in a PM - we'll continue from there. That oughta make life easier. Also, let the devs be for now. I'm certain there's a minor mistake somewhere in the setup easily fixed. They're up to their necks with similiar requests. :)
  10. TreeCapitator tends to do that, you can remove it by removing the TreeCapitator .jar file from the coremods folder (all it does is allowing you to chop down a whole tree by removing the bottom block, awfully laggy on huge rubber trees). Regardless, give your server a few minutes to boot up - if it still thinks it's Yoda, do following; Edit your .bat file again, replace what most likely says "-ms512M -mx1G -jar server.jar" with "-ms512M -mx2G -jar server.jar" which'll increase the amount of memory allocated. With a "relatively powerful gaming computer" it shouldn't be a problem increasing it to two GB.
  11. You're welcome! Well it doesn't really matter, both .bat files contain simple lines of text allowing you to start your server, the MCPC+ way allocates 1GB of your ram to the server while the other allocates 2 if I'm not speaking completely out of my ass. Both scripts work, as you've probably noticed. EDIT: If you're referring to the extracted TekkitLite.jar file when you're saying launcher - then yes, the MCPC+ .jar must replace the TekkitLite.jar.
  12. Timers are most definitely the cause, remove them and see for yourself. Haven't tried using good old clocks but that might be an option if space is no matter to you (or slow down the timers instead of running them at .200).
  13. First of all, you won't be needing Bukkit for anything in particular, neither ForgeEssentials whilst running MCPC+. Get the Lite server files from here. Download MCPC+ from here (gives CraftBukkit(++)) functionality, allowing you to add plugins. Boot it up using the .bat file and let it generate files. Get plugins from dev.bukkit.org/plugins.bukkit.org and extract/move .jar, files into the newly generated plugins folder. Restart server each time you're adding a new plugin to ensure compability (or add them in batches) using /save-all followed by a /stop. Closing with the X might get your files corrupted. Let plugins generate configurations this way. Open up configurations using something else rather than Notepad, Notepad++ is extremely convenient for these matters. Never, ever, ever use tab in a plugin configuration file. Hit me up when you've gotten to permissions.
  14. After lengthy downtime due to faulty hardware, we're finally back up and everything is in order. Welcome back, enjoy. :)
  15. Has anyone gotten MultiVerse or similiar to work yet? And/or found a workaround to get it to work?
  16. Our video/trailer contest is officially over, and a lot of great contrubitions have been made. The winners are; 1. Patukott - Minecraft Gift Code 2. CUBE - HV Solar Array 3. dannyboykey - V.I.P. Package
  17. Apart from //regen that doesn't seem to work properly. :)
  18. Doesn't seem like it this far. Basically the most essential things left that doesn't work is chest protections along with left/right click recognition. keepcalm is doing an awesome job this far and the progress on this short timespan is pretty amazing. Give it some patience and follow the Jenkins for newer builds and it'll all work out eventually. :)
