Can I convert my Classic 3.1.2 server into the new Tekkit? (with galacticraft)

I have a 'Tekkit Classic' 3.1.2 server and I'm wondering if it's (realistically) possible to convert it to the new 'Tekkit' (the one with galacticraft and stuff in it). I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to all this technical server business (ex mac-user). I understand that there are a lot of mods that have been removed/replaced and I'll probably lose most of my machines and stuff. All I want to keep is the building, the location, and the valuable minerals I have. Also I don't mind using creative to cheat equivalent stuff in for materials, or if parts of my (wooden) building are missing.

I don't know if it's possible, but you could try copying your world, then making an entire new server, then pasting your world in it.
